This Site Might Help You. RE: 08 ford mustang stock radio wiring harness/color codes? I need the wiring harness color codes for a stock radio in an 08 ford mustang. an original forum i looked at said that there would be a green and purple one but i didn't see that. Please help!!
Q: The wire is size 10AWG and will be to install a small fluorescent light in a closet. It is coming off of a typical electric outlet. I know someone who is witing it with commercial wire and I think it may be dangerous. Is it?
What do you mean by commercial wiring? The gauge of the wire or what it's connected to does not, in itself, make it commercial.
Q: I am currently doing a guitar build and want to do the 21 tone jimmy page wiring style. I have a few questions. I can follow the diagram attached fairly well but am just confused on certain points. 1. for all the wires excluding the pickup wires, so the majority of the black wires, should those be hot wire or ground wire? I bought a wire back that has black ground wire and hot white wire and am confused on what to use when. 2. Specifically with the black wire coming from each pickup, once those go to a terminal on the pot the black wire that comes off of that joint is a connecting wire like in question 1, not a stretch of the pickup wire correct?3. When multiple wires come to a single solder joint should you tin the pot and then add one wire at a time to that spot or solder them all together and then to the pot?
Hello there, 1) Excluding pickups, black wire hot or ground? They use black for both in that diagram. I believe the only ground wires are all marked as ground in the diagram. A ground wire will run from the case of a pot to somewhere. To the ground side of the jack. To the bridge. To another pot. As for what you bought, I have no idea what you are trying to say. There is no difference in the wire itself that is used for ground or hot. You can use any wire (except bare) for either of those. 2) The black wire from the bridge pickup goes to a terminal of the switch on the push/pull bridge volume pot. You may solder the wire and continue the same wire down to the terminal of the switch on the push/pull tone pot. Or you can use another wire to connect those switches. The black wire from the neck pickup go to the middle terminal of the neck volume pot. Again, you may continue the wire from the pickup or solder in another wire to connect to the switch on the push/pull neck tone pot. 3). When I run ground wires to the case of a pot. I used separate solder joints. I do not wrap the wires together and then solder them as a group onto the pot. I have tried that and got bad connection on some of the wires. Best to solder ground wires separately. On a switch terminal where you have two wires coming to the same terminal, I try to solder both wires at the same time to the terminal. 4). All connections are soldered. Also, you should be aware that not all pickups have the same colored wires. You need to check the color code for the brand of pickups you are using. Seymour Duncan makes his diagrams based on using his pickups. If you use some other brand, the color of the pickup wires may be different. Seymour Duncan has a pickup wire color code chart on his web site. Later, Norm
Q: My house is wired for surround sound. The wires coming out of the speakers holes are not labeled as far as i can tell but the wires that are coming out of housing that go into the back of the receiver are labeled 26,27,30,and 31. I cant tell which wires go to which speaker Front Left, Front Right, Rear left or Rear Right. Do these numbers mean anything?
Nope, sorry. You should be able to hook all the speakers up and plug one wire into the receiver at a time. It may take a few min, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure it out.
Q: I need to use quot;insulated copper wireor quot;enamel covered copper wirefor a project...I used normal copper wire and obviously it failed. Can this be like normal copper wire with plastic/rubber coating around it, similar to electrical wire? Or is it something special?
Insulated copper wire is just another term for electrical wire that has insulation on it. Yes, you use normal copper wire that is insulated with rubber, plastic or enamel. Enamelled wire is the stuff you see in motor windings, comparitively fine and coated with transparent enamel for insulation.
Q: I had gotten 5 commercial solar cells from siliconsolar. But, I need to know where could I get wires to connect to the solar cells, in order to harness the cells energy.
Your query should be sent to the solar cell dealers, it is a matter of buying and selling industrial materials
Q: I have a set of two rotating beacon lights on my truck. I would like to wire these directly to the vehicle with an on/off switch. I picked up a two prong toggle switch from autozone, as well as some wire. I'm not sure how I need to do the wiring. I read somewhere about running wire from the fuse box? And how about grounding?
Run a wire from the positive side of the battery to one of the prongs on the switch. Then attach another wire from the other prong going to the light. Take one wire from each light and wire them together. Then take the other 2 wires and wire them together. On those lights positive and negative don't matter. Now take one set of the wires you put together and attach them to the wire from the switch and the other set of wires ground them anywhere on the vehicle.
Q: trying to put in a different radio, and take out the original radio, but don't know which wires are which. i tried doing it myself already, and now when i turn on my headlights, the taillights don't come on? but the turn signals come on and so do the hazards. did i snip a wrong wire or did one come loose?i only cut the wires that were attached to the stock radio.help please!thanks!
reconnedt the wires as you cut them and buy a 10 dollar plug adapter and make life easy for yourself. you can buy them at any parts store , wal-mart, ect.
Q: I need help hooking a remote wire to my jvc kd-g220.
The KD-G220 has only a blue/white remote output, and no true power antenna wire. If you have a power antenna, then you'll want to connect both the antenna wire from the harness and the amp's remote wire to the blue/white wire from the head unit. You don't really need any kind of adapter; just crimp or solder all three wires together. The head unit should be able to activate the amplifier and the power antenna from the same output without a problem. Electhrolite, I'm not sure how old the head units are that you've worked with, but any modern head unit's remote output is designed specifically to maintain the remote voltage for as long as the head unit is switched on. Keep in mind that the current draw on most amplifiers' remote terminal is less than .05 amps. There's no need to connect to an accessory power wire instead.
Q: I already tried wire cutters, and they just bend it!
you must be speaking of steel wire. in either case copper or steel wire...the answer is ...a good pair of wire cutters. steel cable(with strands) is even tougher and you need a good pair of .......cable cutters. some pliers have a version of a wire cutter and some wire cutters for copper wire have screw cutters that may function to cut steel wire.
