Q: Im currently running 8 gauge power wire from my battery to my amp which is a hifonics zxi8408 i have it bridged to 2 channels so its pushing 440 watts x2 to 2 alpine type Rs. The current speaker wire im running is 16 gauge. My question is...since im going to go down to 4 gauge power wire, should I lower the speaker wire and get 12 gauge speaker wire also? What will sound the best?

Q: You have a 3 foot wide wire, vs a .3 inch wire. They are equal length. There is 3 volts going through each wire, to power your 1 volt LED. So, would the 3 foot wide wire have less resistance ? I don't even think it would work.
'sure` bigger wires have decrease resistance. 'No' on the transformer component of your question. With the transformers, 'magnetic saturation` performs a substantial section in cutting-edge limiting. The impedance of a transformer isn't in effortless terms resistance. Google or Wiki 'Choke coil'
Q: I am replacing an outside floodlight, the cable from the house has 4 wires (black, brown, grey and yellow), but the floodlight has the standard 3 live, neutral and earth fitting. How would I wire the new floodlight.. the wiring for the old floodlight is less than a year old on a house rewire. Thanks!
Four wire power cables used to be used for 2 and 3 phase power. You would normally provide floodlight power with the use of 3 wires. How long is the cable length from house to floodlights? I would look to see what your source wire colors are and try to match those. It used to be in the USA that the red wire was used to carry the 120/240 Volts AC (50 ~ 60~ Herz). The Black wire was considered the return or negative line; and if you have a green wire it is used to put an earth ground on all the shielding, metal jackets, etc.
Q: How do I wire MULTIPLE ones? I checked many sites and yes, I do get schematics, I've seen a billion schematics, but now I don't know how to actually put it together. My big question is, can I just solder two wires running from my 5V + terminal like that? Would there be problems? So if I have a 5V battery.
simple enough just connect all positive terminals altogether and all negative terminals connected to each other
Q: I have a 99 Dodge Ram.. The radio ignition wire is burnt out.. Can anyone tell me where I can connect a new ignition wire to??
Radio ignition wire? Could you be talking about the RFI capacitor that looks like a condenser? If it is it hooks to the hot side of the coil. I would need more information to properly answer this question.
Q: i have two 12 gauge wires running from my battery to my sub amplifier, does this effectivly mean i have 6 gauges. each wire has a 15 amp fuse so does that also mean i have a 30 amp fuse?
Id say run 3 strands minimal because sometime it says its a certain gauge but there is not much wire inside, and to add the the 2X 12gauge = 9 gauge use 3 strands.. better chance of working right.
Q: I wanna know how does the temperature affect the resistance of the wire.
as temperature increases, resistance also goes up. the reverse is also true. at most temperatures comfortable to humans, it is not a signifigant factor. that's the general answer. if you need specifics, the electrical code will give you very specific answers.
Q: a difference of 25 feet with 16 gague wire
Yes, but you will not notice it. Keep the same length on BOTH channels. Go with heavier gauge (stranded and labeled as speaker) wire on long runs too. Buy a 12 gauge spool at RadioShack.
Q: Two long straight parallel wires are 12 cm apart. Wire A carries 2.5 A current. Wire B's current is 3.7 A in t?Two long straight parallel wires are 12 cm apart. Wire A carries 2.5 A current. Wire B's current is 3.7 A in the same direction.1) Determine the magnetic field magnitude due to wire A at the position of wire BB = ? T2) Determine the magnetic field due to wire B at the position of wire A.B = ? T3) Are these two magnetic fields equal and opposite? Why or why not?4) Determine the force on wire A due to wire B, and the force on wire B due to wire A.
(1) wire-A B = (uo)(I) / (2pi * r) B = (1.26E-6)(2.5) / (2pi * 0.12) B = 4.17E-6
Q: can you use your existing phone line jacks and wire, then convert the jacks to lan to network computers or printers?
Yes the difference is that network cable (cat 5) supports 100mbs data transfer and has a range of 100 meters. Network cable is also shielded against R/F interference and uses a connector similar to a phone connector (RJ45) but is bigger. Phone cable is smaller in diameter and in most cases is not shielded it uses a (RJ11) connector. It may be possible to use the phone lines to connect your network but you would have to know how to terminate the ends of the cable. This takes a special tool and also the ability to do it. Its not that easy to do, Its easy if you have some one show you. I've been doing this for years, my advice would be to use network cable, do it right. wireless is the easy way to do it.
