Q: what is the typical repair cost for front wheel bearings in a 1990 toyota 4runner?
which part of the car are you talking about? the CV joint? does it knock when you turn left or right?
Q: Is it possible to use rollerblading bearings in aggresive in-line skates?
It's actually a lot different. Depending on what kind of skates you have (figure or hockey), Stopping is a bit harder for some people and it is a lot more slippery. At first, if you have figure skates, you will trip a lot on the toe picks. On Figure Skates you can turn and spin, unlike most roller blades.
Q: i have a small amount of play in both of the front wheel bearings and i just want to know if i can go without buying all new wheel bearings.
The front wheel bearings are sealed - no repacking possible. The first source has a picture. If the bearings are not making noise they are probably okay. Once they get noisy replacement is the only option. However, verify the axle nuts are properly tightened. Loose axle nuts will chew up the axle splines.
Q: I just bought the sector 9 bambino 26.5 and I was wondering what would be better for it. Im trying to decide between the bones swiss labyrinth would bones super swiss 6. What would be better for my board-thanks.
Bones Swiss Labyrinth. With the extra $4 you pay you will cruise longer. I have some on a 27 inch Gravity and they are great.
Q: i need bearings for my longboard that are fast smooth and roll longer so chek out this link and let me know wat ya think
no, one cost way to much i've never paid over $40 for swiss bearings. They'll both feel and skate the same no point in getting the more expencive ones.
Q: Hi, the question is; A fish swims 2km from point A to point B at a bearing of 30 degrees (measured anticlockwise from due east). It then travels due east to point C for 1km.a) Determine the distance the fish is from its starting point.b) Write vector AB and BC using vector units i and jI drew a diagram, and am completely stumped! thank you in advance! guidance in the right direction is also fine! I just have no idea where to start!
using compass bearings: (2,60°) + (1,90°) = (2.9093, 69.8961°) - - - - - - (2,60°) = (1.7321, 1) - - - - - - (1,90°) = (1, 0) - - - - - - (1.7321, 1) + (1, 0) = (2.7321, 1) - - - - - - so: a) 2.9093 km b) (1.7321, 1) and (1, 0)
Q: people always say there bearings make them go faster but i dont think this is true. in my experience its more the wheel you ride that affects speed. size hardness are both factors but bearings just dont make a significant difference. as long as they spin freely and smooth it doesnt matter whether there swiss ceramics or abec 3 because the extra friction in the threes isnt enough to slow you down. unless the threes are rusted and dont spin. is this true? would others agree? ppeople seem to think the bearings have engines or something. i just use 18 dollar redz and keep them in good shape and they work fine
well bearings do make a difference but it will go faster with lube other wise its still fast and effects the over all speed
Q: How much would it cost to get bearings fixed on a fourtrax 250 Honda yr 2000, just a rough estimate please.?
Not sure which ones you are talking about here. If you are talking about the front bearings. Do you mean for one or both sides. Also remember this on alot of vechicals. Some are what are called pressed on and others are not pressed on. The ones that are not pressed on are alot cheaper to replace and if you and a friend are a back yard mechanics. Both of you should be able to do the job.
Q: Wipeout/laid down my bike 2000 miles ago. Yesterday, I checked my crank, a little lose so I tightened it up. Awhile later a kind of light click clunk sound/feel when the right crank is a the 3 o'clock position. Even before every once in awhile down stairs there's a noise at no real position that sounds like my crank hitting the kick stand, but I have no kickstand. Is it the bearings or race going bad. I've had the similar click clunk sound on other bikes but never any other problems. Also, how long before it goes out, planning on a long trip in a month or 2?
Um, yeah. Bikeworks said it already. Actually, the noise COULD be a worn chain and freewheel. Does it feel as though the pedal is skipping? It could even be the chainrings as well. In this case it would possibly be cheaper to buy a new bike unless you have some sentimental attachment to it.
Q: how can i loosen the nuts that hold the bearings in on my hyper bike co bike?
spray some wd40 or pb blaster on it, then positioned the main appropriate sized socket on it, 6point in case you have it...and unfasten it with the ratchet...in case you choose on an prolonged ratchet cope with you will get extra leverage via putting a jack cope with or something like that over the ratchet. yet once you positioned all of it back mutually make constructive its tight yet not as tight because it rather is now
