The outer ring has thin wall.The drawn cup needle roller bearing has the characterstics of small radial section area, large load carring capacity ,less inertia and economic manufacture. - Depends on your skates. Most hockey rollerblades have 4 wheels on each skate so 4x2=8 I don't know how many wheels are on your longboard skateboard but I would imagine 8 bearings (1 for each wheel) should be enough.

- The okorder (fill out the form on the right) Once you get your new wheel bearing, you can take your old hub (with the old bearing) and the new bearing into a local repair shop. They will press out the old bearing and press in the new for much less than a complete job. You can then take the hub with the new bearing and put it back into your BMW. The rest is just wrench work.

- Sealed bearings require no service. Once they are installed, you use them until it's time to replace them. Regular bearings should be disassembled and repacked with grease from time to time. Sealed pedals have sealed bearings. Regular pedals have regular bearings. HTH

- Actually - you would think that it was 'higher the bearing - the better' BUT Not SO! When I went to buy my sons skateboard at Xmas from ROUTE ONE in Cambridge, England - they explained it to me. The higher rating, eg- ABEC 9's, is to do with how they make the bearing. The higher number is how tight they are packed (or something along those lines...). The skaters who worked in RouteOne told me that they all use ABEC 5's. So, if the experts use them.... they must be okay. Bev
