Q:changed thermostat, checked heater core can blow fluid trough it. checked temp control cable, still blows cold air.
Does your cooling system need bled, and make sure the air control blade or flap is moving to let air in, and around the heater core, then out to the passenger compartment.
Q:I have a 2005 Ford Mustang. A warning light came on that indicated something about a default in the electronic throttle control. Explain to me in full detail what this means.
In traditional vehicles, the throttle body (the part of the engine that controls the incoming air) was connected to the accelerator pedal and operated by a mechnical linkage, typically a cable Electronic throttle control is a throttle body setup that is operated by small motor, commanded by the computer. Also known as throttle by wire. You press the accelerator and the computer tells the throttle body to respond accordingly. The primary advantages of this setup are smoother throttle engagements (which can protect the engine from the heavy footed driver and provide better fuel economy), elimination of a seperate cruise control module/motor, and prevent throttle hanging from linkage binding. The message you are receiving indicates there is some issue with the main computer communicating with the throttle unit.
Q:Changed the tranny for a gentleman due to reverse no engagement. Transmission shifts but a little late and a little too hard.
One doesn't. One leaves it to the professionals
Q:I just got a Samsung 26 inch LN26C450E1D LCD TV. The TV has Anynet ,so I was wondering if you could control a cable box with the TV remote.
Anynet is a proprietary Samsung system that links Samsung devices together, like a TV and a DVD player. I have that arrangement myself, and the two operate together as one unit with one remote. However, it's unlikely that Anynet will function with any type of equipment from another manufacturer because the other device will not be Anynet-equipped. As for the Samsung remote operating the cable box, I won't say it cannot be done, but that's backwards from the usual process. It's quite easy to program your cable box remote to operate your TV. Doing that vice-versa would not be so easy.
Q:I recently bought a VGA cable for my pc to my tv. The cable works, and has no bent pins, but for some reason my tv flickers blue every few seconds. I've tried changing the resolution to every setting, I've tried changing the color quality, and I've tried changing the refresh rate. I have an Inspiron 6000, with Windows XP. My tv is fairly new, these are the specs: * 15 TFT LCD display * 4:3 aspect ratio * 1024 x 768 pixel resolution * 260 cd/m? brightness * 350:1 contrast ratio * 16ms response rate * Digital Broadcast Ready - Built-in ATSC tuner * Trilingual on-screen graphical user interface * MTS stereo output * Auto channel set up * S-Video input * Composite input * RF input (750hm) * VGA D-Sub 15 pin * Headphone jack * DC jack inputPlease help!
Try using a different VGA cable, sounds like it might have a loose connection were the pins get attached to the cable conductors. If you get the same problem with the other VGA cable it MIGHT be the VGA input on the monitor. if you have an old monitor swap that over and see if the problem persists. FYI VGA cables use basically a Red Green Blue signal conductor aswelll as vertical and horizontal control. Your screen going blue usually means that the red and green conductors are dodgy
Q:I have digital cable, with TIVO, from the company Time Warner Cable. The remote control that comes with the package can control everything except to change the television on or off and it also cannot control the volume. How do I get the remote to control these two functions?
Why not just call Time Warner Cable and ask them, all remotes are different.
Q:I read i have to turn off the settop how do i do that? if i have to?
you could contact sony. thats about all i could think of.
Q:Hi,I recently found a cruise control stalk, like the part that connects to the steering column for sale. I am wondering if I need something under the hood to make cruise control possible or if I can just plug in the stalk and make it work. Thanks!
The part you have is simply the controller for a system. You need to have the components that make it work to have an operable cruise control. There are parts that go on the engine and driveline that control the throttle and sense RPM's. Nigel is incorrect. The part you have is the one that makes adjustments, sets the speed and turns the system on and off.
Q:I mean I read in the control panel of my pc that it has 32 bit colour. But i also read in wiki that older HDMI cables supports 24 bit colour. I actually don't know what version is my HDMI cable. Do I need new cable ?
If you are dissatisfied with the appearance, you might try a different cable, but if you see no problems in the image, you're better served by leaving well enough alone.
