- Rayon shall refer to acrylic nylon these! Blending refers to adding a certain proportion of nylon or acrylic to wool! The reason is to enhance the carpet's corrosion resistance and other advantages of chemical fiber materials!

- Try rolling them the opposite way first and then lay them down the right way. You can also put some heatbond tape around the edges where it's curling up which will stiffen your rug and stop it from curling. The heatbond tape needs to be put on with a very hot industrial iron, so I sugest you take it to a carpet place and ask them if they will do it for you or know anyone that will!! The other thing you could try is sticking some double sided valcro tape to the underside of your rug where it's curled and some to your carpet and stick your carpet rug to the floor.

- You will either need a rug pad or carpet tape to protect your new purchase from slipping and wrinkling. As to which you prefer, it depends on how plush the rug you purchased is. I have a very dense wool rug in my kitchen that is on ceramic tile and used two sided carpet tape to anchor it down. This enables me to have it vacuummed without fighting the edges with the suction and keeps it from wrinkling while doing so. It is thick enough on its own that a rug pad is unnecessary. That being said, I also have another rug under which I have a rug pad mainly to protect the flooring underneath it. It has a rough jute backing that with constant traffic will scratch the floor under it, hence the rug pad.
- Q: I just moved into this house and im so paranoid about keeping the floor in good shape, i have a 1 year old and a puppy who are making it kinda hard. So, I need a rug, my living room isnt very big at all, and in fact the living room is kinda long, but not 'big'. - A 2-foot by 3-foot rug would be fine at your doorway, but it won't give the rest of the room any protection, just a place to wipe your feet when you enter the house. Your room-area rug can be as big as the room will accomodate...but the bigger the rug, of course, the more $$$ you'll have to invest. You could start with a 6-foot by 9-foot in front of your sofa, which you could probably get at Walmart/Target/K-Mart for around $125. It will be nylon, and it won't last an eternity, but it should do until your puppy matures! Then you could look at investing in a nicer rug that won't get chewed on...or you-know-whatted on.....Good luck!

- If his room is all Simpsons maybe just look for a rug that has the colors of one of the characters or something that way it won't be over kill on all the Simpsons stuff you know, like if you have walls with Simpsons and furniture or decor with Simpsons adding a rug with Simpsons may be a bit much where as if you just put a cool Marge's hair color blue rug or A simpson skin toned yellow rug it might pull it all together better, just a thought :)
