Q: Hi everyone. I have a problem with my carpets. I recently bought a very nice, thin carpet. It is very detailed, thus it doesn't stay quot;flatquot;. It likes to move around and bulge. I have placed this carpet on another thick carpet. Now I need ideas to keep or stick my thin carpet on top of the thick one without damaging both of them. I dont want to glue or nail stuff done. Something quick and simple. Thanks everyone.
It likes to move around and bulge What you need is a carpet/rug non-slip gripper pad. You can find these in most department stores and Home Depot and Lowe's. It is a netting material you lay down under the rug. It will stop the rug from slipping. It comes in different sizes that can be trimmed to fit.
Q: Ok i have double-sided beige rug and i accidentally bleached it leaving big white circles and blobs. Can i use an orange crayon, color it in then use an iron and iron the rug to make the orange crayon into a dye? I dont have actual dye? Will the orange crayon turn beige when I iron over it?
Throw the rug, You learned a valuable lesson and so be it.
Q: We are doing a production of Anything Goes, and the script calls for a chair rug. I've done a little bit of research, and it seems to be a thick towel that you would put underneath you to protect from bugs and the slats of the chair. Can anyone give me a little bit more to go on, or better yet, tell me where I can find one?
The only thing I know about a chair rug is from years and years ago when I was a small kid. My grandfather got a small thin rug to place under his rocker on the wooden floors....it kept it from squeaking when he rocked. Not sure that is the same thing...but we called it his chair rug.
Q: my carpet is tan/bash and i already tried carpet and upholstery cleaner which seems to have gotten out most of the color. however it's still a little sticky!! it's a brand new carpet and my grandma is going to kill me!!!PLEASE HELP!!
soak the damage parts in lukewarm water. scrub lightly with laundry soap, leave the soaps and suds on and put the carpet under the sun leave it for like 2-3hours. soak it again on water, rinse the carpet. *soaking and drying while soapy makes stains evaporate with hot air.
Q: How big is the carpet of Yoga
Standard type; width; width: 1, widening type: Long 185cm: Long 198cm: Long 170cm: 120cm4, double type: 40cm*60cm 80cm3; the carpet of Yoga generally has, special type: Long 180cm
Q: Is there any great carpet cleaners in torrington, Connecticut? I just moved in to my new condo and the carpets are just plain nasty and I need to get them cleaned! Looking to find carpet cleaners to do a great job at a competitive price.

Q: i live in a house on a college campus, and after all the parties and everything, the floors tend to get dirty. my white shag area rug is right by my door, so a lot of dirt has been tracked onto it and it's starting to look gray and isn't fluffy anymore. i love my rug, is there any way to save it?
Set your vacuum on the highest pile setting, the one that sets the brushes the furthest from the floor. If your vacuum does not come with different settings, make the best of the setting you’re forced to use. Vacuum away. Shag works best with short, back and forth motions to pull the pile up as much as possible and avoid the vacuum getting stuck and smelling like it's about to burst into flames. Work your way with the vacuum left to right across the floor and, for good measure, go back over it in the perpendicular direction. Disconnect the vacuum hose and use the open tube to suck up dirt. Place the hose’s nozzle straight down into the carpet, methodically covering the entire area. This is a lengthy process but you will be amazed at how much dirt, grime and other disgusting stuff you are able to extract from the shag when you sit down and really concentrate. This does not have to be done often unless your carpet gets very heavy wear. A couple of times each year should do the trick.
Q: i need to know where to find vintage rugs.
You can call vintage rugs those are made before 1960 era.
Q: I am looking at getting some new carpeting for my home, how much does carpet usually cost? I am guessing they figure it out by square foot and which type of carpet that you want...but just a round about answer, how much is carpet per square foot?
Round, average carpet will be around 3./3.50$ a s/f. This isn t fancy and not the cheapest... This is an installed price with pad ( 5 1/2# minimum) and standard installation. Won t cover rip out and disposal of the old. This is just a general price to get you an idea.. And your right.. carpet is only sold in the s/f format.. Never sold ( can be shown) in the s/y format any more. Its against the law now. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
Q: I have an ugly pink-tan carpet that has to go. Underneath the carpet is wood. But the wood is a bit rough and doesn't have any color to it. How do i remove my carpet and fix up the wood floor underneath?
How is the carpet attached to the floor; is it glued down, tacked at the edges, stapled, etc.?
