- Go to any pet store and get a bottle of a product called Nature's Miracle. This contains an enzyme that breaks down proteins in bodily fluids, like urine, blood, and vomit. This then eliminates the odor. I would also recommend you get the stuff in the orange bottle instead of the white bottle. It contains oxyclean, which further helps eliminate the stains. Just pour it on liberally directly onto the carpet. If there's still some solid matter, you can wipe this up with a rag. Then cover the area with an old towel and let it sit overnight. The towel will wick up any excess liquid and be a warning not to step there. The next day, remove the towel and let it air dry. If it still smells, apply it again until it goes away.

- Price will tell you the quality. But in general look how thick it is. Thin carpets are usually not the best quality.
- Q: so in my room i have a carpet which my mother told me that when our apartment was built they sticked the carpet with a special glue... under the carpet there are tiles..... but the glue is stuck to the tiles and i pulled the carpet to see whats happening under it because i really want to remove it because its unhealthy.... and i poored hot water and chlorine on and i took a knife to scratch it and the tiles wallpaper (however the call that thing) disappears and all i see its something black... what is that and what can i do now???? i already ripped a lot my carpet... any suggestions? what is that black thing??? is it the cement of the tiles?
- First you do not need to put chlorine in with the water. The black paper ( is that what it looks like?) could just be something that was used to even out the floor's surface. Forget the knives and scratching! Adhesives ( glues) are sometimes soluble with water.. Sometimes with heat - you heat the glue moderately with perhaps a steam iron or a hair dryer, the glue will loosen enough to pry back the carpet. Otherwise- and this is totally out of range of my experience- solvents are sometimes used. I would not recommend using any kind of flammable solvent. Instead of knives find a wide putty knife to help lift the carpet off the tiles, this will get a larger area up off the tiles and will not scrape or gouge the tiles nor is it likely to slip and cut you. And you can get one for a few dollars. Work a little at a time- maybe it will take you a day or two- and wear safety glasses when you pull up the carpet because it is easy to get a small carpet fiber into your eye and it is a pain to get it out!
- Q: My dog has now peed on the entire futon. If I rent a a rug doctor (from local grocery store) will it work on a futon? The futon is only about 4inches thick. I'm wondering if the rug doctor will be able to suck up the water it jets out, or if it will just make the futon wet?
- Having used a Rug Doctor many times, I seriously doubt that it would do any good in your situation. Yes, it does have good suction power for carpets, but even then, it requires time for the underlayment (usually foam padding) to dry, also. I wish I had a good answer for you. The responder that suggested you get the attachments, may be the best answer, just trying to suck the water out may be all you can do. Good luck...

- Q: I'm moving into a house and it is solid concrete, the walls and the floors. we want to install carpet in two of the bedrooms and we were originally going to get stick on carpet tiles, but they were unavailable. We think that traditional carpet installation would be too big of a project for us to handle ourselves and hiring someone would cost too much. So my question is, how exactly do we go about this? Can we just buy regular carpet and install it with the adhesive? Does it need padding? or is there a specific type we need to buy?Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
- carpet stores sell rubber back carpet that you can install over concrete no glue needed .you can install jute back or action back with double face tape or glue .. or just lay it down and let gravity do it's job..you don't have to have padding, but it does make it more comfortable
