Q: Having some trouble wiring fixture it seems to just stay on with the switch doing nothing.. here's the deal I have three different wires coming from ceiling power in, power out, and I believe switch.. there was a priovious light there so I know its correct just don't what wires go with what all help will be appreciated thanks
black is always hot - white is nuetral and another is the switch - and of course green is ground - you have the hot correct - but you arent hooked to the switch leg is all
Q: 01 F350 that did not come factory with cab lights.Bought the recon cab lights that come with its own harness. No plugs on the ends, just plain wires on the end. Where does the green wire splice in to behind the passenger kick panel?
if a 2 wire loom, black is ground and green would be park lamps. get a test light, ground one end and stab wires until you find the live wire that lites the test lite. park lamp switch must be on when testing. head lamp switch 1 click out.
Q: i have a purple wire i have no clue what it goes to, i have a dark blue/brown wire i dont know what it goes to and want to make sure the i just cap off the orange wire…Can someone please help me-it is draining my battery

Q: I am in the middle of changing my thermostat and I am so lost on where the wires go! Anyone who knows anything please help.My old system was labeled and hooked up like this:White Wire (W)Red Wire (R)Blue Wire (B)Green Wire (G)Now I am looking at my new system and these are the spots that I have:(G) (RH)(RC)This has a red wire attached like a jumper wire(Y/O) (W/B) (Y1)What wires do I plug into where? Please re-post with the wire color next to where it should go.
Based on normal practice It doesn't appear that you have air conditioning, only convential/gas heat. And the thermostat you bought is for air conditioning and heat pump systems. It likely will still work, you'll have to read through the book to see how to program it for convential heat in the installer set-up Red wire to (R) doesn't matter which one White wire to (W) Green wire to (G) Blue wire to nothing, the blue wire was your common wire which is required to make the old thermstat work off power from the unit, the new thermostat runs on batteries and doesn't have the option to run off power from the unit. Note: turn the power off to the unit, touching red and blue together will short out the transformer
Q: I've started cutting wire and bending it into shapes to create animals or images, but the problem is, I need to know how to make each piece stick together without any glues as they make the art dulled and the metal looses its shine :/ any suggestions?
okorder and search on 'twisted wire sculptures' then click on images or switch to Web to find how to.
Q: Im Very Curious As To How Did The Designer Orese Make Her, African Continent Shape Wire Earrings? I Have The Supplies To Make Wire Earrings. I Would Love To Do A Personal DIY! :~)
as well as on the first page link above, under the category Wire-Framing (P.S. Why did you use initial caps on all words in your question?...kinda hard to read.) .
Q: @topicAnd does the size of the wire matter in electrical consumption?
Simple as I can make it: The size of the wire, and the material it is made of will govern it's resistance for a given length. A large wire will have less resistance than a smaller one of the same material. Ferrite will have more resistance than copper or aluminum. In power transmission lower resistance means lower losses. In a resistance heater, lower resistance means greater consumption. (More power will flow, More heat will be produced).
Q: How much wire is required?
Length of wire is L = R*A/p SI units must be used, so convert radius to meters: r = 0.0254 / 64 m using 25.4mm = 1 inch r = 3.969*10^-4 m (0.3969mm) So cross-sectional area is A = pi*(3.969*10^-4)^2 m^2 A = 4.95*10^-7 m^2 The average resistivity of nichrome is p = 1.1*10^-6 ohm-meter So the required length of wire is L = 2.2 ohm * 4.95*10^-7 m^2 / 1.1*10^-6 ohm-meter L = 0.990 m
Q: What happens when you hook these 2 wires up right along each other?
if you have an rca tv which works with 12 volts.......if the wires not connected to battery...there no problem. if connected to battery....the fuse blows.(close to battery on wire)....if there is no fuse....wires burn...risk of fire....do not forget...every device works with car battery MUST and MUST be eouipped fuse .
Q: Us the French wire hook earrings gold? 14kt gold?!?
French wire earrings are a style of earrings for pierced ears. They have a long hook shape. They can come in gold or silver or any metal. The style isn't an indication of its metal content. If they are 14k gold, they will need to be stamped as such and you should buy them from a reputable jeweller. Online buying can be a problem, they are people who fake the gold markings (especially goods from Asian countries) and you might think you are getting real gold, but you aren't. Also, sometimes only the wire hook part is gold, the attachment or dangle might be an alloy metal and not gold at all.
