- Q: I recently blacked out and fell onto the floor face first, causing some moderate rug burns. I'm wondering if I should be concerned about scarring, and if so what I should do to prevent it. I've been keeping a coat of neosporin on it constantly so far.
- Regarding the rug burn, it does not look like a very deep wound from the picture. Most scrapes are shallow but painful because a large area of skin is missing. Shallow wounds do not usually scar. My brother went headfirst over the handlebars of his bike about 6 weeks ago and had some really nasty scrapes, some of which were moderately deep, and he didn't scar at all. Just keep it clean, wash it daily with soap and warm water. Keep using the neosporin as well. That will prevent infection and keep it moisturized; both of those things will help speed up healing, and the faster things heal the less likely they are to scar. Once it's all healed there will be some residual redness in the area for probably 3-7 days, but that isn't scarring and it should go away. Regarding you passing out, I would advise a doctor's visit. Getting light headed when standing is called orthostatic hypotension and it has a number of possible causes; some of them are fairly serious, such as a heart problem. Your orthostatic hypotension, plus now an unrelated episode of fainting indicates some sort of underlying problem. Better to go and get checked, just to be safe.

Whether stain, spot, wrong color, outdated color, or simply color changes all can be done with perfection by a carpet dyeing expert. This is NOT a do-it-yourself type project for property owners. We have corrected many unsuccessful attempts by carpet owners and carpet cleaners who try to dye on their own. Please tell me you experience and I'll give you the correct answers. We have dyed millions of yards of carpets during the last 20 years in more than 200 locations in USA and 8 other countries. I just want people to know it is a viable option to carpet replacement.
- That is exactly the problem, people want to dye carpets themselves and there are a lot of fly by night carpet cleaning companies out there attempting to dye carpet with poor results. I think there should be some certification or signal your industry uses to inform consumers that the company they hire to dye their carpets is as experienced and technologically astute as yours. I've been in rental real estate and interior design for a long time and have seen some really bad carpet dye jobs. Perhaps if there are franchises specializing in carpet dyeing they should advertise their expertise more extensively because if the process is that perfected there is a lot of business out there!

- Wood floors are real nice, unless you live where it's cold on your floors in the winter, or if you have a dog with noisy claws, or if you're the kind of person who dusts everyday. Rugs are nice because you can change them out easier than carpeting.

I do know i can get it online a carpet that is specially made for my car but they cost like 100- 150 buck. Does anyone know if i can get carpet material in home depot if so what kind should i get. - Hi okorder . But you are right about the cost. New carpeting costs around 150 to 200 bucks. Some of the places that sell car carpeting also sell carpet by the yard - you can find out about that at the truck and car floor mat website. Oh, and by the way, if you use pieces of carpeting from a store make sure they are securely attached to the floor with some kind of adhesive or tape or you could get the carpeting caught in the brake or accelerator pedal. - Q: so we put the dog in a room, and you know dog scratch at the floor, well my dog scratched so much he pulled off the carpet. the carpet is still together, the padding mostly is too. Is there a solution to this?
- If it isn't torn, it might be able to be restretched and reattached to the edging....lift up the perimeter of the carpet and you should see a lath strip with tacks that hold the carpet. You can probably find instructions on the web and rent the equipment......simple device. The padding might be able to be taped back together. Zip over to pet section here on Yahoo and learn how to care for the pup. You may need to crate train the dog so it won't destroy the house when you are away. And when you are home, the dog is with you.....period. He's a member of the family.
