- Q: throw rug: backing dried up and crumbled; any way to rehab the rug?
- I've got a rug right now that the same thing has happened to. I had it in our yard storage building over two summers, and went to get it out to bring it back into use and the backing has crumbled. If I am thinking of the same thing, what you mean by backing is that rubbery, or gluey stuff they treat the back of the rug with to keep the pile from shifting.. I haven't done this yet, and it's going to be a bit of a chore, but I'm going to a fabric store to look for some kind of fairly heavy fabric, kind of like they actually use on those better quality rugs. It's attached only round the edges of the rug, but it would sure cover up the yukky look of the dried, crumbled sealant on the back. You'd need a heavy duty upholstery type needle to do it with, and then just turn the edges of the fabric under, and hand-stitch it to the back of the rug.
- Q: Living room carpet what material to buy good, 140CM*80CM coffee table configuration of large carpet?
- Natural material carpet mainly has wool, linen two kinds of materials. Carpet laying has much to do with the use of space. In the entrance to the location, mostly with fiber or linen carpet, because the carpet here is easy to dirty, easy to clean, ventilation and ventilation. The living room and bedroom with comfortable wool carpet.
- Q: The original carpet in the house is now trying to remove the carpet glue
- Nail polish remover. The usage is similar to alcohol acetone. The effect is also good. Washing water does not require quality, good or general, as long as you can wash off all nail polish.
- Q: What color carpet can match with fushia sofa
- And are short of the kind, looking at more stylish, coffee table. If the sofa and coffee table are light colors, then the color of the carpet should also be light color, fushia matching with black tea table feels a little ride, looked neat and clean, the carpets are light coloured, there is a contrast on the vision, now the popular tea table are toughened glass and similar to wood materials of the two kinds, backdrop wall can choose dark colors wallpaper, white is good.
- Q: When do you feel it is too cold or too hot for your horse and you need to rug him/her? How can you tell if your horse needs to be rugged or unrugged? Thanks, and could you also include some points about the differant types of rugs and what each are best for and when you should use them eg. winter rugs, summer rugs, cavasson (i think thats it:)), ect. thanks! xx
- A okorder / The higher the denier the tougher the rug. 600 denier will tear easier and be less water proof then a 1200 plus denier rug. I have the last one shown (Defender) is a great rug for really cold frosty winters. Tough denier and no neck rug attached, which I prefer for my horses that are not in much work. In spring I then switch it for a lighter rug, which they usually wear for a month or so before I leave it off completely. But please remember, even if you switch to a lighter rug, it will still need to come off each morning if it is warm and during their heavy moulting in the first month of spring.
- Q: After searching for over a month, I finally found a perfect rug. Unfortunately, I need it in an 8x10 or larger, so now I'm at a loss. Does anyone know of a rug that looks like this one?
- This is a nice rug and it just so happens that I tried to find the same one...only bigger....but could not. We have a local store called Paul Michaels and I found a nice wool rug in there...but it is nowhere near as beautiful. Good Luck
- Q: I just need to average pricing for carpets. I don't need instalation, just the carpet itself. The carpet I need to match is kind of a cheaply made carpet, my dog tore it up trying to get out of the bedroom.
- Carpet runs anywhere from $2 a square yard to $35-up. You need to go to a carpet store and look at samples to get a price. There is a huge store near the square on 41. EDIT - Since you need a small carpet, ask to see their remnant room. You might find just what you need at a fraction of the cost.
- Q: I have a carpet shampooer, and I'm doing my spring cleaning, and my carpets are off white, and as you can imagine they get quite dingy, especially in winter when people are walking in snow. I have quite a lot of traffic dirt and random spots. I've not been impressed in the past with the shampoo that came with my machine. Could I use oxiclean in my machine to brighten my carpets?
- this isnt a good idea.. Oxiclean is an optical brightener and most home machines dont have the suction to remove all the soap or cleaner once applied and that is why carpets get dingy so quick due to the soap residue and probably like most people recommended is good more is better right? all that added soap dint get pulled out by the machine so it is left to dry in a sticky mess.. using oxiclean and your carpet color Im afraid if sunlight hits it it will turn it kind of an off green color. What I do for my carpets I run vinegar and water. mainly and then spot spray with the cleaner.. depending on the carpets age and material what you are seeing as dirt and dingy may be wear patterns and those will never be removed.
- Q: does anyone know where i could find a fee schedule for RUG rates in California? I've been all over the internet and I can only find the rates for other states. I need to find out what the rates are for my job and I have tried calling Medicare Part A w/o any help. They don't know what I'm talking about, oddly enough! Please help!!!
- What okorder / ... (However, you really shouldn't have to pay to get your own RUG rates - the data should be available to you somewhere at no charge. Try the SNF PPS pricer first!)
- Q: So I have this cheap $20 rug from walmart thats teal. I did away with it for a while but now that I want my room redone, I want a black rug to go in front of a futon. How would I go about dyeing this rug instead of buying a new one and leaving this one to collect dust? It has a plastic wired bottom to hold the rug together and to act slip resistant. Would dyeing it affect it?
- Whether dyeing would work depends on what fibre it's made of. If it's wool or cotton, it would dye quite well with ordinary dyes, though it might present a few difficulties since dyes usually call for being heated, and a lot of rinsing after. If it's a synthetic fibre, which it very likely is, it might not dye at all because synthetics don't absorb dye very well, if at all. If they do, they usually require processes that would be very difficult to achieve with a rug, such as heating the dye bath with the item in it. All in all, it's probably not worth even trying. Find a cheap black rug to buy.
