Q: How to best remove the greasy dirt on the carpet?
Scrub the carpet with brush dipped in strong brine or gasoline. Learn some knowledge about the maintance and cleaning of carpet. ①If the blue ink stains the carpet, immediately use rice to rub it, then use neutral detergent, such as washing powder to wash it. ② If red ink stains carpet, immediately use alcohol to wash it , and then use neutral detergent to wash it again. ③If the carpet is left with old ink stain, the stains should be soaked with milk firstly, and then scrubed repeatedly by brush dipped in milk. ④If there are grease stains on the carpet, scrub the carpet with brush dipped in strong brine or gasoline. ⑤If the shoe polish or paint stain the carpet, scrub the carpet with banana oil or gasoline , and then wash it with neutral detergent. ⑥If there are blood stains on the carpet, scrub the carpet firstly with cold water, and then with salt brine or lemon juice. Don't use hot water to wash the carpet, because the blood will be solidified cement in hot water. ⑦If there are tea or coffee stains on the carpet, smear glycerol on the stains, then use cloth with warm water to wipe the stains, finally, use neutral detergent to wash it. ⑧ The soy sauce, vinegar, milk, ice cream, beverage and others stain the carpet, firstly absorb the stains with a aqueezed cloth which soaked in warm water at first, and then scrub the stains with alcohol .
Q: I got a little nail polish remover on my shag rug and the bottle says harmful to synthetics-so is shag synthetic?just wondering
A shag rug is sythentic.
Q: We are cleaning the whole house with Rug Doctor because we are selling the house.I have two questions:Can I put back furniture on the wet carpet? I don't really mind about the furniture, its kinda old. Like wood 3 beds, chairs.I don't have any other places to put the furniture. Can I stay in the room? I have my study table and computer.
Yes, tin foil keeps the moisture away from the legs of the furniture and protects both the carpet and the furniture. One problem though is if it is still damp when you put the furniture back on it you have those depressions in the carpet as it will compress then dry that way. Best it be as dry as possible before putting the furniture back. Good Luck
Q: I'm moving soon and currently my room is being constructed (dad was a builder/architect)I want a carpet, because whenever my chair rolls, it would scratch the floor boards, but I'm not sure my chair would be able to roll around on a carpet or rug. So will it?
Of course your chair will roll on the carpet. Now if you select a carpet with a low pile on it, it will offer less resistance to your wheels and be easier for you to navigate. A pile like an indoor-outdoor carpet, they have some nice choices,or even some commercial style flooring has a low pile for high traffic areas. You don't have to live in a barn with cold hard floors, you can enjoy carpet! A chair with larger wheels in the front will be able to roll over the floor-to-carpet transitions better. Smaller wheels tend want to get stuck at those points. Especially if the carpet layer folds the carpet edge over (cheap undesired technique in my opinion), rather than using metal carpet strips.
Q: How can I get my carpet back to its normal color? I have a beige carpet and we mixed to much bleach to get the stains up so i have a couple of bleach spots..
You need a pro to come and recolor the damage and neutralize the bleach.
Q: I recently moved house and my real fix fur rug isn't large enough to cover the floor in my room, so my question if, if I go and kill some foxes tonight, how do I skin them and how do I attach the skins to the rug without making it obvious where i have sewn them on?Also, what shall I do with the remains, is fox edible?
Yes fox is edible... but save the brain. Tanning a hide is a skill that requires practice. I can tell you how but I suggest practicing on something you don't plan to have every guest at your house have a look at. Also some sewing skill would be needed to mend the two rugs together, and foxes aren't large animals so more than one will almost definitely be needed. To tan a hide: Skin the animal at the leg and stretch the skin out very taunt. You will need a tool for scraping ( something sharp but rounded enough not to tear the hide). While the hide is stretched, scrap of the epidermis of the skin with your tool (on the side without fur obviously). Its important to keep the hide wet during this process. Keep a bucket of water nearby to wet it down with. After the hide dries from anywhere from a day or a week (still stretched) untie it and cut it to the size you need it. Now rinse it in a mixture of a half - a whole gallon of water and the foxes own brains (yes, the brains). Rinse, wring it out, rinse again. Over and over and over until your tired. Next stretch the skin out some. Give it a tug with a partner to loosen it up. Then you have to smoke the skin with a dark smoke (most likely from old rotten wood). This will cause the white skin to tan (hence, tanning the hide). Tan the fir side as well but no where near as much as the inside of the skin. Once its a golden brown you can sew it onto your first rug. Whew lol. This is just the general jist of tanning a hide. There are many other methods that I don't know about. I learned how from Naked into the wilderness: Primitive Wilderness Living Survival Skills
Q: The carpet rubber floor is glued to the floor. How can it be removed?
With paper towels stained with some alcohol (preferably with industrial alcohol, not to use medical also OK) wipe, and then rub a few times on the clean.
Q: I have a rug in my inside hallway. I'm wondering how I should wash in washing machine? It's a tight knit rug like berber.

Q: Recently there has been a debate in the library in my neighborhood as to whether to replace the carpet with tile. Which is better for a library. Please note that a lot of school kids use this library.
Industrial office carpeting is stain-resistant, very short knap, and is designed to hold up in high-traffic areas. It is exceptionally easy to maintain. You can find it through independent distributors, as well as at Lowe's or Home Depot (shop around for the best pricing).
Q: Cleaning methods of several common carpet stains
If you want to use carpet long and keep beautiful, in every day must also pay attention to cleaning, cleaning, such as the discovery of local carpet stains, local cleaning should be carried out immediately, or a long time will be difficult to remove, is likely to leave a permanent trace of carpet.
