- Q: Why do two parallel wires carrying currents in opposite directions repel each other?
- Each of the wires is under the influence of the circular magnetic field produced by the other wire. If you apply Fleming's left hand rule, you will realise that the mechanical force experienced by each wire under the influence of the magnetic field of the other is in opposite direction. So, as the mechanical force on each wire pulls it apart from the other wire, there is repulsion between the two wires. Was this helpful?
- Q: I know I am suppose to run the RCA cables and power cables on opposite sides of the car, but which side do I put the speaker wires on, ps I have an amp so I'll be running the wires from my trunk
- in my car i ran the speaker wires on the same side as the RCA's
- Q: Which internet is faster and quality?
- Wired Internet, but i recommend wireless to laptops.
- Q: A 41.7-kg sign is suspended by two wires, as the drawing shows. Wire 1 makes and angle of 42.2deg with the horizontal and wire 2 makes an angle of 58.8deg. Find the tension in wire 1 and wire 2.
- To solve this, you have to find 2 equations, because there are 2 unknowns. Assume, Tension in wire 1 = T1 Vertical component of T1 = T1 sin42.2 Horizontal component of T1 = T1 cos42.2 Tension in wire 2 = T2 Vertical component of T2 = T2 sin58.8 Horizontal component of T2 = T2 cos58.8 Since the sign board is in equilibrium, the forces must balance each other. Horizontally, the horizontal components of both forces are balancing each other. Therefore, T2 cos58.8 = T1 cos42.2 T2 = (T1 cos42.2) / (cos58.8) -------------------(1) For the vertical components of the wire, both are balancing the weight of the sign. T1 sin42.2 + T2 sin58.8 = (41.7)(9.8) T1 sin42.2 + T2 sin58.8 = 408.66N ----------------(2) Combine (1) into (2), T1 sin42.2 + (T1 cos42.2)(sin58.8) / (cos58.8) = 408.66 T1 ( sin 42.2 + cos 42.2 tan 58.8) = 408.66 T1 = 215.66N Subst T1 = 215.66N into (1), T2 = (T1 cos42.2) / (cos58.8) = 308.4N Hope it is correct ^^
- Q: I have a wire coming from the car battery positive terminal. It is 12v DC. I want to split this wire to two other wires. I cannot connect another wire to the positive terminal. Will splitting this wire cause the voltage to drop to 6v each wire? or will they pull a constant 12v each?
- They will each have 12 volts. But the split wire may be too thin for the current. Instead, connect the wire to your first load, then a wire from there to the second load.
- Q: Is it possible for a wire to arc with a nail? The u-nail that hangs the wire to a wooden support beam looks like it was hammered in too far and may have cut through the insulation around the wire. Is this a fire hazard or can I leave it as is?
- Stark seems to apply Palladium isotope from his missiles with the aid of fact the reactor's gasoline. as quickly as the reaction starts, the potential harnessed is enourmous at 3 GJ/s or such as 3 GW. (that's greater suitable than two times potential required for time-vacationing (which needed basically a million.21 GW of potential) in returned to the destiny action pictures). This potential may well be used to potential up his journey for a protracted time for his superior reactor, no longer the 1st one. To make this somewhat useful potential furnish, i think we are able to. and that i think that could be a threat. yet i think of that that is performed basically in some hundred years. The action picture is basically fictional and that i think that the author are basically fantasizing regarding the appropriate potential source. (desires specially grow to be actual at last). If we live in nineteenth century, human beings won't have confidence you in case you may deliver sound wave and photos accross the globe. Now, that could be a threat. So what makes an arc reactor impossible? that is performed. yet no longer in recent time.
- Q: im installing an amp and i have no clue what to do with thw power wire.... I read to cut open my steros power wire (usually the blue) and wrap my power wire around it... I found the blue wire but there was a tag... Caution Remote output only... This is not the wire for power supply. please connect this wire to the remote for the amplifier... Does this mean i just connect this wire directly to my amp?
- ok wait hold up. so the only wire that should be hooked from the amp to the headunit is your speaker wires, remote turn on wire, and your rca cables. ....What you need to do is get the power cable(usually red) run it from positive on the battery to the POS on your amp. next put your ground wire from the GND on the amp to bare metal on your cars chasis.
- Q: I've seen people use it as ...umm..energy generating...majiggy.. (but not alot of energy) including a magnet/something about a magnetic field or some sort?and instead of MAGNET WIRES can i use SPEAKER WIRES?(RADIO SHACK)
- Magnet wire is just solid copper with a layer of varnish for insulation. Speaker wire would work, but you could not wind the wire as tightly due to the thicker insulation. also the wire is very flexible and will not stay in place very well. Also, if the coil gets hot, the insulation on the Speaker wire will start to burn or melt. .
- Q: Just bought a new amp for my truck. The speaker outputs needs to be indiviually wired to the door speakers. Do you splice into the speaker wire or the trucks harness?
- ideally you want to wire directly from the amp to the door speakers with new speaker wire but doing this properly requires removing some of the trimming and passing the new wires throughout the car. you can also take the easier route and pass the wires from your amp up under the steering wheel behind the center console and splice them into the existing wires going to the door speakers. as long as the wattage isn't very high the latter shouldn't be a problem. however, if it were up to me i would use new wires and pass them throughout the car, removing the trimmings, etc. this can be somewhat of a pain to do if you have never done it before though.
- Q: does copper, bell, or speaker wire carry energy faster
- No, the speed of electricity along a wire is only a bit slower than the speed of light, and the type of wire does not change that by much if any. Besides, bell and speaker wire is usually copper. Note that the size of the wire determines how much energy is transferred along the wire as opposed to dissipating it in the wire itself. Thicker wire is better. .
