- Q: so im lost in how i should wire my subs. I have two subs that i need to wire both are 2 ohms 400 watts i don't know if i should wire them parallel or series if you can help me out that would be great!
- usually all sub wiring is the same, youll have the rca cables and antenna wire comming from the radio to the amp, power and ground wire going from amp to battery and ground, and than should have 2 wires coming off each sub to the amp, im guessing thatd be parallel, if you wire in series, so like use 2 wires and splice off to each sub, so 2 wires off the amp powering each sub you would up the ohms and put a too much of a load on the amp, people only wire in series when they have too many subs and not enough outlets on the amp, good luck
- Q: When making pc boards with microcontrollers, oscillators, etc.. What is the right kind of wiring to use? Specifically:What material (e.g. copper)? What thickness? What brand?Where to buy? What's the difference between the stiff wire and easily bendable wire? Thanks.
- It okorder is one company that sells all of these types of wire. If you search their website or catalog, you'll find wire in bulk as well as in pre-cut assortment kits that you can use. They also sell tools and parts that you'll probably be interested in
- Q: The wire in my headphones broke right next to the jack plug. I had a pair of crappy earphones that I have cut up as a replacement jack plug but no matter what I do I cant get any response. Is it because headphone wires are not compatible with earphone wires?Thank you
- Skullcandy Ink'd are in simple terms suited headphones, whatchu talkin' bout, Willis?[: solid Skullcandy Smokin' Buds are appealing first-fee too. Skullcandy's considerable studio-like headphones are uncommon, yet they run approximately $80. i've got bought a pair of Sony sizeable headphones, in spite of the fact that i don't recognize the way lots they fee. they may be stunning outstanding. additionally, attempt Bose. They make in-ear and over-ear headphones.
- Q: My house is wired for surround sound. The wires coming out of the speakers holes are not labeled as far as i can tell but the wires that are coming out of housing that go into the back of the receiver are labeled 26,27,30,and 31. I cant tell which wires go to which speaker Front Left, Front Right, Rear left or Rear Right. Do these numbers mean anything?
- Nope, sorry. You should be able to hook all the speakers up and plug one wire into the receiver at a time. It may take a few min, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure it out.
- Q: I have a Hunter 5 minute fan. I have four wires coming from my ceiling. Red, Black, White, and Bare Copper. The Fan has a Green Wire, Black Wire, White WIre,and a Black/White striped Wire. The Ceiling Plate also has green wire. I know to connect the black to black, red to black/white striped, white to white. But for the green and copper wires, do I connect the copper wire from the ceiling to the green wire in the ceiling plate and also to the green wire from the fan?
- You are correct. With Romex? type house wiring the bare copper lead is the ground wire and should be connected with both of the green wires.
- Q: Wired car radio no sound powered on then wires crossed had to run red straight to battery. Then memory and ground crossed. Now nothing. Checked fuses radio fuse is bad. Will i also need a new wiring harness? Stereo Works fine when hooked up to battery charger.
- Could you rewrite your question and clear it up some. The red wire should go to the ignition on the existing harness in the dash. You were crossing all of those wires? Look at the diagram that came with the deck to know which wires go where. Typical pairs of wires (white and white w#x2F;black stripe or gray and gray w#x2F; black stripe) are for the speakers, red is for power(ignition) I think green is the signal wire and so forth. I don#x27;t know how your wires just get crossed like that? Did you splice them into the wrong ones in the dash?
- Q: I just bought an aftermarket cd player for my Grand Cherokee and I would rather not have to cut and strip wires so I want to get an wiring harness adapter. My question is, can I just get any wiring harness adapter or do I need the direct connection adapter that is specifically made for Chrysler to Kenwood?
- You just get the jeep wiring adapter and then solder or use crimp caps/butt-connectors to connect the wires to the aftermarket harness that comes with the aftermarket headunit. Also, depending on what year Jeep you have you may need an antenna adapter. AND I believe on the Jeeps (like the chryslers) there is not a usable ground wire in the factory wiring harness which means you will need to ground the aftermarket ground wire to the chassis via an existing bolt or drilling. Or, if the stock radio has one of these metal-mesh things affixed to the back, you can use that thing as well. But when you match up the Jeep harness you buy to the factory harness and you will be able to tell if there is ground wire in factory harness.
- Q: I have a 98' F-150 and need to add a 4 flat trailer wire connector to it. What all do I need to do? Is their a special connector?
- If it has an existing plug (6 or 7 Pin round) just buy an adapter. If the truck was equipped with a towing package but you do not have a plug of any kind look under the truck near the rear bumper you should find a bundle of wiring that is not connected to anything. this bundle should include the following colors of wires (red, blue, green, yellow, brown, black with a green line, and White). Go to Auto Zone ot Wal-Mart and get a 4 flat truck side kit. Strip and splice the wires together color to color. Green being your right turn signal, yellow- Left turn signal, Brown-Taillights/Marker lights, White-Ground. If the bundle of wiring is not there then you will need to find the wiring that goes to the tail lights on the truck and splice in to them. Splice into these wires using the same color code i just stated above with Scotch-Locks then for the White wire on the kit just put a ring connector and use a self tap screw to mount it to the frame of the truck or the tow hitch.
- Q: What is a tubeless wire and how does it work?
- It is a wire without a tube. It works properly, it has a larger section than the usual wires, but is cheaper (Al is cheaper than Cu).
- Q: The coiled wire is for making bucktails and i would like to buy it in bulk.
- I am not sure what bucktails are, but a good place to buy coils of wire is a hardware store or farm store. You should be able to get aluminum wire, galvanized wire, or mechanics wire (black/brown)
