Q: i need thin insulated wire like this.: It is called enamelled copper wire or copper winding wire. You will find it at Digi-key and other electronics retailers. Check OKorder as well. It comes in different gauges (thicknesses), the higher the number, the thinner the wire. I'd say the stuff he uses in the video is about 30 gauge.

Q: i bought a wiring kit off OKorder it was a bullz 4 gauge kit. and i am running a rockford 500.2 n its rated for 700+ watts. so do you think my cheaper wiring kit is affecting performance? should i go snag up some bigger power wire for more power to run through it or is tht not how it wokrs?: if your wire is truly 4 gauge you will have no problems.the problem is some of the 'no name' wire companies over rate their wire.they will sell 6 or 8 gauge wire as 4 gauge. go to a car stereo shop and ask to see a piece of 4 gauge wire. if it way bigger than what you have you may want to upgrade.

Q: Just need a wiring diagram link that shows all wires and possibly steps on installing an aftermarket stereo.: good luck with that.. i put a new head-unit in an old pontiac firebird.. none of the colors matched the stero harness.. the cars were all browns and whites and strange colors you dont usually see... i ended up using a volt meter to find what was power and ground and all that.. then just trial and error for the speaker wires- what was front and rear.. and right and left. just messed around for about an hour til it worked. no internet access at the time... probably would have been helpful....

Q: Question about the 3.5mm cable, I cut it open and there are 4 individual wires inside of it. I've only ever seen 2 wires and a loose one. Which ones are right/left and would the other 2 both be ground?The colors are red/green/white/black. I'm assuming the red/white are right left like normal? But I'm not too sure.: General audio wire color standards: White/Black are ground. Red is Right+ and Green is left+. There are separate wires needed for headphones, and often the ground wire breaks causing the wire to otherwise completely fail. Mono is left only (the tip) + Ground. The wire can usually be replaced with standard 4 wire phone (16-18 Ga) cable, when used for headphone (low power) applications.
