Q:I like the red carpet the best: Nope Blonde carpet, red drapes. I have NEVER answered that question before, I hope I did it right

Q:I usually take more care when i use pastels but i really felt like doing something creative in the spur of the moment so i got out my soft pastels and art supplys and when i was done i noticed some pastel got on the carpet does anyone anyone know how i can get rid of it?BTW my mum only just put a new carpet which was pretty expensive in so i need to get rid off it without her knowing preferabbly or shel be really mad :SPLEASE HELP!!: Some carpet stains can be removed with a paste of 2 tablespoons white distilled vinegar and 1/4 cup salt or baking soda. Rub into the carpet stain and let dry. Vacuum up the residue the next day. (Always test on an out-of-sight part of the carpet first).

Q:best way to get red ink out of a white rug ?: Rubbing Alcohol takes out pen ink. Maybe it will work on red ink too.

I use a professional cleaning service called chem-dry. They don't saturate the carpet so now mildew musty smell. I would call a professional or shampoo again with hot water and simple green. Continue sucking the water out until you are sure there is very little left.

Q:I noticed that my carpet has holes in it. there are tiny areas where the carpet strands are gone/eaten/disappeared/burned/etc and i don't know what it is. Also, around the area it is black or has black stuff left on the carpet (light brown carpet color). Any ideas as to what it is? How to stop it? Fix it? [also the only pets i have are fish]: there's a few things that live in carpets or breed there. but moths are the ones that are famous for holes. the larvae eat the rug then become moths. If you're lucky a little flea spray and the worms will come up so you can see them. start using boric acid or diatomaceous earth (buy the kind for this use not the pool filter material). sprinkle on carpet and brush deep with broom. Vacuum more regularly and put down more boric acid every few months at least.

Q:My male cat just recovered from a urinary tract infection. He urinated on my beautiful fairly new woven rug for the very first time (he ALWAYS goes in his litter box); that's how we knew he had an infection. Ever since that one little offense, he decided that the rug is his and he drags it around my house. I sprayed and cleaned his tinkle off of it immediately right after the offense, why is he doing this? I put the rug back but over and over he drags it to other rooms. How can I claim my rug back?: he is doing it because he marked his territory on it (yes cats do it too A BIT) and he now thinks he owns it cause he can still smell the distinct odor in the rug. Q:I have an area rug that my poodle urinates on when she's mad at me. Long story short she did it again while I was out and I didn't find it until it was dry and smelling up my apartment. Does anyone have tips on how to clean the rug myself without renting a shampooer and maybe how to deodorize the rug. I've tried fabreese and the baking soda stuff you leave on the carpet and vacuum up later. they didn't seem to work before so If anyone has anything else to suggest I'd be most grateful.Thanks: When we have an area rug that needs cleaning we take it up to our local self service car wash. The high powered washers work really well cleaning and rinsing the rugs. We usually just hang them over the clothes line to let them drip dry and they look like new.

Q:I'm getting new carpet put down in my room soon, but I'm very clumsy and I can't keep it clean. Is there some kind of carpet protector (much like a screen protector for a phone) that I can put over my new carpet?: This is easy, no food in your room. Nothing other than water to drink. No painting of nails or painting in that room. Vacuum twice a week and it will stay stain free.
