Q: I am thinking of adding a chair railing to my dining room and kitchen. We have an older home and I want to make it looker newer. Would adding the chair railing increase or decrease value of my house if I add it appraised? Will it make it look older?
That is a cosmetic fix making the house more appealing to a buyer . Renovating a kitchen, bath, etc. adds value to a home.
Q: This is something that is really annoying, there is no way that those steps are steel, NO WAY. the chairs are not steel either. Also some of u mite not remember this but when the rock had a funeral for SCSA and he came back and shane came up and hit him in the back of the head with a steel shovel and it shattered, there is No way in hell that the shovel was steel, u could hit a steel shovel against bricks and it wouldnt shatter like that!
The chairs....i think they are steel...... The Steps....dont think so....if they were steel they wouldnt make the sound they do....i think they are something like aluminum or some soft type of metal.... Good idea to think about
Q: We just got a new kitchen table and chairs that have vinyl seats. I use plastic booster seats for my 3 children. Anyone have experience with this and know whether the seats will ruin the vinyl? I started using towels under them but it's a pain and I wonder if I really need to. Thanks!
They might, as dust, dirt and food debris gets between the booster and the chair cover. The moving around of the kids on the seats will grind those small bits between the plastic and vinyl and cause scratches. The best way to avoid this problem is to simply put a towel between the seat and seat cushion. You can use a kitchen towel or bathroom hand towel - it'll be small enough to be inconspicuous but large enough to cover the entire chair seat.
Q: (I know this is a stupid question.)I've got these folding chairs. There are 2 rods that meet to form the back of the chair. When unfolded, these 2 rods rest on these 2 plastic parts that are screwed by hand into 2 hollow tubes. The hollow tubes are the top of the chair's back legs.Through regular use, a person leans back in the chair. This action gently sands down the screw-like section of the plastic parts as it rubs against the hollow tube. Eventually, the screw-section is gone, the plastic part stops working and the chair is no longer safe for use.Where can I buy these plastic parts? Do these things have names?
Unfortunately, we live in a throw-away society where, if something breaks, we just replace it rather than fixing it. So, replacement parts for things like that are hard to come by. Is there any indication of the manufacturer on the back or bottom of the chairs? If so, see if you can contact them for the replacement parts. If not, you might have to buy new chairs with that same kind of part and cannibalize the new chairs to fix the old ones.
Q: It still hurts in the spot where I hit the chair. Wondered if this has happened to anyone else? I am hoping it didn't harm the baby. Don't want to rush and call the doc or anything just yet, but what signs should I look for? Obviously if I start bleeding or something crazy I will go straight to the er, but I am just concerned that I might have just hurt my little one!
Don't worry. Your baby will be just fine. babies are very well protected inside of you in their little sac. They are tough little things, its not easy to hurt them. just bumping into a chair, would not be enough force to damage the baby. just keep an eye on how you are feeling. if you start to bleed, or severely cramp, then you should go in to the doctor and get checked out asap. i myself fell once during my pregnancy, and another time i accidentally rammed my stomach into the door knob. it even left a bruise. but i brought it up to my doctor and he wasn't concerned. he said that would not hurt the baby. don't stress. your baby will be just fine. good luck. :)
Q: lets start the debate... GO!
Comfy to sit on, take a nap in....but a pain in the patooty to get up out of!
Q: I'm looking to purchase a rocking back gaming chair for my xbox. I don't care if it has sound or not because I have great quality surround sound anyway, im just looking for comfort and something fairly affordable. Probably not over $150.
You can check for comfortable and affordable chairs at shoplet online store. www let .uk
Q: I'm sort of jumping the gun, but I am trying to educate myself about babies because we are going to be trying for a baby this year. I have started a preliminary baby registry (to add to or take away from as I learn more), and I was wondering if a high chair is something I would need right away. When would babies start pureed food?
babies usually start eating food between 4-6 months. Before the 4-6 month mark, the baby should only receive breast milk or formula. There is really no need for a highchair before then...unless you just want to be prepared.
Q: I hate this chair! There is only one control item--a lever, and I've never used it at all. Yet my chair is a different height every other week. This morning I found it so high, my feet don't touch the floor and I can't figure out how to lower it! I've moved the lever in and out and every which way, but the chair doesn't budge.
Some old chairs adjusted just by screwing in and out of the central column. Since yours has a lever, this is probably not the case. If you have never used the lever, then we can't be certain what it does, but on most I have used, pulling up on the lever while seated should allow the chair to lower. Pulling up while off the chair should allow the chair to rise. Some I have seen also let you push or pull the lever to lock or allow the back to tilt some. If you have tried this, the pneumatic cylinder may be shot. Likely just need a new chair.
Q: I like it in the Classic Boucle, in the color Black Iris.It was designed in 1948, by the same guy who designed the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. It's my dream chair. What do you think?
It does look like a very nice chair. Since it was designed by a civil engineer, the price, cant be considered too ridiculous. I think you have answered you own Q though since you did say it's your dream chair. I wouldn't let stranger get in the way of my dreams.
