Q: I have a gig with my band and we need something to use as an amp stand. i was thinking a foldable chair would work the best, help?: As long as it's a good strong chair sitting level on a solid floor then it should be okay. Just check it from time to time to be sure it stays stable. Years ago , before I got my extension cabinet , I used a chair with no problems. And my amp was a little pig , it was a 70's Fender Twin with 2 heavy duty JBL speakers so it was heavy as all get out but the chairs handled it with no problem. It really helps to have the cabinet up where you can hear it. I used to carry around a couple of those plastic milk crates for the places that didn't have folding chairs available.They worked really good too. I would cover the crates with a black cloth before I put the amp up on them so it didn't look too cheesy.Actually you could't even tell what the amp was sitting on.

But a kitchen chair is good for the woman straddled on top, and any chair can be good for doggie-style for the woman to prop up on. Otherwise, chairs are overrated.

I know spray painting is easiest to use, should I sand it first even for spray paint?: Yes. You definitly need to sand it first. Especially since your chair is black! It will be hard to cover black up with white, whether the paint is spray or in a can. Sand your chair, and yes spray paint will be fine. With paint, or glossy stains it is hard to get paint to stay on something and not stick easily without sanding. Hope it works out for you!

BQ: In pretty much every ladder match, what I just said happens. Let's say you are watching a Fatal 4 Way ladder match like what we saw at TLC. 3 men are on the ground, or in pain on their knees or something, one man clmbs up the ladder. Q: bought a chair at auction,nice and clean, but has a terrible order,smells smokey and like it came from a bar.: IF you mean tobacco smoke, then try this: ....Place in small closet OR tent with plastic bags, pour ammonia into a cake pan and leave for a few days...usually removes smell of tobacco OR set in small room and use ozone air deodorizer if you have one (do not go into room with this thing on)...this is how car dealerships get rid of tobacco smells in cars...small ionizer left on for a day or two. IF smell of burned lumber, then ammonia will do the trick as described above. Good luck IF you are thinking of steam cleaning chair, do NOT use shampoo or soap in water, use only hot water (same is true on carpets!).

Q: How do you upholster a wing back chair? how difficult is it? how many yards of fabric? what kind of (cheaper) fabric should i use?: I'm new to the upholster game but the best fabric is they heavy ones with that plastic like backing. it's water/spill proof and very easy to cut. now i would lay the fabric on the chair. cut it to size, leaving room for sewing ..i'd say an inch. pin it in place inside out and they sew. now most fabric stores have a chart that has picture diagram on how much you need for whatever kinda chair. I would add 5 yards to that being you're a beginner. Never have too much but OMG if you don't have enough. Good luck!
