Q: Does anyone remember the small soft chairs that would fold flat into a bed? They had no frame, just padding and cloth. Sat about 1ft to 1.5 ft high when a chair and about 6-8 inches high when folded out to a bed. I cannot find then anywhere, please help. thanks.: We have three of them and still use them when we have company. We have one that is a couch and two chairs. They were all the rage twenty years ago but I haven't seen them in years. I googled it but found nothing on the type of thick foam chairs you are talking about.

Q: The green chairs are pretty bad. Not sure if I can find room in my budget for chair cover rental as this is a completely unexpected expense. Anyone have any suggestions or links to good DIY websites?: Do you know anyone who knits or sow you could make pillow cushions out of some old pretty fabric they don't have to all look alike just have to be part of your wedding theme. You could also tie a beautiful elegant bow around the chairs using old sheets or shirts any fabric you have laying around, or you could go out and find a store that sells cheap ribbon, tie it at the top have it flow to the ground. The dollar store sells floral arts and crafts and so does Walmart you could put together some floral designs and find a way to attach it to the back of the chair. It really depends on what kind of chairs they are plastic, wood, etc. Maybe you could use some old sheets you don't use and throw them over the chair. If money is a big issue the thrift store has some nice shirts and pants you can turn into a cushion I don't know how much time you have left to do something about the chairs but I hope this helps or sparks some ideas for you.

Q: Looking for something really light weight with a backrest and legs that can support itself. I've seen the GCI PICO Chair (10 lbs.) and Quick-E-Seat (4.5 lbs.) which are both nice, but I'd like to get the weight down a bit more if I can.: However, back when I got mine I think it probably cost $8. It's not very comfortable but its good enough to cook and eat your dinner without getting your butt wet on the ground.

Q: Anyone else does this? After about 10-15 minutes of sitting on a chair, I notice my butt is right on the edge, so I have to stand up and sit again properly. Getting very annoying.: most likely cuz your original 'sit' is not proper...you are suppose to sit with your tailbone against the back of the chair, not on the seat of the chair...most of us sit with the tailbone on the seat cuz we'll feel foolish to sit like a 2y/o with our feet up in the air since the cushion's depth fits a 6'8 male thigh...once you sit with your tailbone on the seat, your upper trunk posturing is actually behind the line of gravity...so then our shoulders blades start slowly adding more pressure, therefore more pressure curvature to the lower spine, gravity starts to slowly pull you down until your almost anything but falling off the seat...sit upright, like your mom bopped you on the head for a million one times..in those real deep chairs, ya need an extra cushion behind you until manufacturers start getting sued over their dysfunctional setup of chairs sofas...we think we're comfortable there, but it ruins everyone's back...car seats are not an exception either....

Q: These are from Germany. They are like a Spongy Foam material but the previous owners cats tore into them so they have these marks across them. It reminds me of when you take your nail and run it over a Styrofoam cup. I love the shape and modernness but I need a color change (4 dark blue, 2 yellow)! Im scared it will just soak it in.: Try painting a little part in a place that is unseen, just 1cm2 in the under part of the chair - best the under part of the chair leg - the one that stands on the ground (I understood that they are entirely made from the same material, sorry if I misunderstood). That way you'll find out if the paint will soak in or stay. If it doesn't work, you can always make some covers yourself (since standard ones don't fit the shape of your chairs). The possibilities are limitless - from patchwork, to knitting them from various materials (think plastic bags, you can get very interesting results with that, not to mention it's good for the environment not to throw the bags away but reuse them creatively) to sewing them according to you own design. LIke I said - limitless possibilities.
