- Q: The application is a bathroom light and exhaust fan combination. The fixtures wires are thiner than the supply wires. Should I wrap the thinner wire around the thicker wire or should I wrap them equally around each other? Then can I put a drop of solder on before I put the wire nut. Or is solder not a good idea?
- Solder is unnecessary. Be sure to use the proper sized wire nut, and twist the wires together. after you install the wire nut, give each wire a slight tug to ensure that they are securely connected. Hope this helps.
- Q: I need a wiring diagram for a 1983 honda rebel, its a 250cc parallel twin, i really need the ignition wiring diagram but i can't seem to find one. If anyone knows the letters (xx250,xx125) then that would help to. Thank you in advance.

- Q: Need wiring diagram or manual
- Bard Air Conditioner
- Q: Can your use the power wire that they sell at home depo to do the big three upgrade or is it better to just get wire from a car audio store?
- You can use any wire as long as it is the proper gauge required for the job you are doing! I am sure it will say in your installation instructions on which gauge of wire they reccomend for proper installation of the equipment you are installing
- Q: Ok. so i wired my cd deck into my 92 buick, but everytime i start the car i have to manually turn on the cd deck. i also have to change the settings everytime! and once i turn off the car the setting will not save and the setting will be lost. Now everytime i turn my car on i have to manually put the settings again! this did not happen in my old car! and i think it might be the wiring! Because the last cd deck i had did save the settings! and would turn thge cd player on everytime i turned on my car!! and it would play the track back, right where i left off. please help! i did attach the yellow cable wire the red cable to the battery current.? is there a problem!
- You should have the yellow power wire connected to constant power and the red wired to ACC. You don't and this is why it's bahiving the way it is.
- Q: I needed a new tail light for my trailer. The aftermarket tail lights only came with two wires sticking out the back, one red and one black. The stock tail light that broke had 3 wires and so does the harness on the trailer end. People have told me that even though it is different it will work. Do I join the two hot wires together with the red wire and then the return wire to the black? There is no wiring diagram avalible and I dont have the money to replace then entire lighting system. Thanks for your help.
- Pull the lens and look at the bulb. If it is a 2 element bulb then it will work, if it is a single element it will not. If it is a 2 element then one of the wires is turn and stop light and the other is tail light. It will use a body ground in that case. On your trailer harness you will have a brown wire, that is tail lights, the turn and stop light (same wire) will be either green or yellow depending on what side of the trailer you are on. The white wire is ground. The turn and stop light will be much brighter than the tail light so just twist the wires together and see which is which. You can hook the white wire to the mounting screw of the light fixture to be sure you have a good ground.
- Q: plz answer correctly as soon as possible......why we use stranded 500kV wire?
- There are many uses for stranded wire, from 5V to 500kV, and the reasons are very different. I am assuming since you say 500kV you mean high voltage transmission conductors? If that is the case the reason mainly is because of the physical strength of the conductor and manufacturing processes. For example a solid aluminum conductor with such large diameter is not realistic. When conductor spans large distances the weight of aluminum itself would tear it apart. Therefore a normal conductor would be something like 336 ACSR. ACSR meaning aluminum conductor steel reinforced. Steel is the inner wire for strength, and the outer wire is many aluminum wires wrapped together for carrying the electricity... Hopefully this was of some help.
- Q: I am wiring a sony xplod amp up in my car and need to know what the skinny blue wire goes to. Any help would be appreciated.
- Run a fused (1 amp, 14 AWG) wire from a fuse in the fuse panel that only has power when the car is ON to one side of a switch. From the other side of the switch run the same sized wire to the REM (remote) connection on the amp. This allows for full control and you never have to worry about forgetting to turn off the amp. The switch is so you can turn off the amp at will so as not to give grandma a heart attack in the car. You can find fuse taps and in-line fuse holders at any autoparts store.
- Q: ok...all the wires in my quot;atticare encased in this silver metal casing....when i opened a bathroom wall...the wires were also like that.....at the fuse box...they all leave like that........sooooo, can i assume all my wires are encased like that? does that make them pretty safe from rodents chewing? (yup-been watching Billy the Exterminator) why were they done like that? tx for any info....
- First when houses were electrically wired, they used what was called knob and tube. Next came BX,or flexible metal tubing which is what you have. Plastic wiring or Romex is the last and most commonly used type of wiring for homes. Don't mess with the flexible metal wiring. There are certain requirements when you cut and enter the metal into a metal outlet box. One of the most important things is a red fiber bushing called a cherry and I do not think they are available any more. I have some that I keep in my antiques closet. LOL
- Q: the quot;rite-tempthermostat was ripped from the wall, and the brown wire, and red wires - both not labled are disconnected...where do they connect? please help....rite-temp thermostat model 8050c
- The Green wire generally is fan The red wires are hot to the AC and Heater The yellow wire is AC The white wire is common. Brown may be used for AC instead of red Hook the Green to the G terminal The Red wire to the Rh terminal The brown wire, I believe is Rc terminal White to W OR c (HOW EVER IT'S LABELED) Yellow to Y
