Q: I have a house cleaning business, we clean 2 homes a day and after buying 14 vacuum cleaners in the past 2 years I am done with spending money on vacuums that don't hold up or are 2 heavy or have so many filters to clean that you spend your evenings doing that. Any serious opinions?: My Dyson vacuum cleaner was absolutely the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned! I had two cats, one of whom was a long-haired Maine Coon and I killed several vacuum cleaners trying to keep my house clean. The last one prior to the Dyson was a Kenmore that was in the shop every month due to clogging. It was always under warranty so it didn't cost me anything to get it fixed, but it kept breaking. One day, I was so fed up with the whole thing that I spent the money on a Dyson and never regretted it. When I moved overseas, I kept very few items . . . I kept the Dyson. It's in a storage unit, waiting to be used again. Sure, it's ugly, but it does the job like no other. Good luck on your search for a better one.

Q: I've heard Oreck vacuum cleaners are very good and light weight, has anyone had good or bad luck with them?: I, too, have great respect for David Oreck. As for his vacuum cleaner, I had one. It was expensive. It worked very well when it worked. But mine was in the shop all too frequently. They were nice about it and always fixed it. But I finally got tired of lugging it to the shop (Bad enough to have to lug a vacuum around the house). I finally gave up. But don't just go by me. Maybe I just got a bad one. That can happen with any product, even good ones.

Q: are canister vacuum cleaners good brands?so where are they for sale online: Some canisters vacs are good, but you will pay for a good one. On a canister, the motor is away from the dirt, you have to rely on suction, which will eventually fade as time goes by. As for an upright, the motor is on the head or closer to the dirt. When you have a motor on the head, you have a better suction, for a longer time, plus the motor will help vibrate the dirt in the carpet. idk where to find them on-line, I always go to sears, or buy a Kirby from a salesman. If you want the best canister, buy a Filter Queen or a Rainbow. If you want the best upright buy a Kirby or a Dysonex (check spelling)

Q: My 6 month old Sammys in love with our vacuum, any time I try to vacuum the house he crawls around trying to grab at it, and if its just sitting there, he's practically tackle it and try to climb on it!
