- Hmm, where to start. I am going to guess you weren't one of us geeks who took Basic and Advanced electronics in high school. :) Power [measured in watts when referring to electricity] is equal to voltage multiplied by amperage. So, just what amperage do the vacuums with the 12 volts have? And, what voltage motors are in the ones running on 6 amps? Find out those other variables respectively and do the math to figure out total power generated.
- Q: I have a two piece standard Kenmore vacuum (not an upright vacuum but one of those that the hose attaches to the body). Anyways, I was vacuuming and then all of a sudden the roller quit spinning. I thought maybe some string or some other obstruction was preventing the roller from spinning or perhaps the belt broke. But I took everything apart and found out the motor doesn't spin. I can't even spin it manually. If I remember right shouldn't the motor be able to spin freely? My motor is stuck and won't spin and I can't find any obstruction preventing it from spinning.Any thoughts?And secondly, can you clarify if the motor should spin freely when the vacuum is turned off because I could have sworn that in the past if anything got wrapped around the roller (like string) I could easily unwind it.

- Q: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know I can buy a new, high tech(and plastic, foreign made piece of crap)vacuum. However, my Dad worked for Hoover for 40 years and built THIS one over 15 years ago. I've been able to maintain and repair it fine so far, but it's been having trouble with suction. I think the composite material of the fan blades is worn down.

There are literally hundreds of chicks out there that are right for you just in your area! You just have to put forth the EFFORT into finding them, it a numbers game.It took me awhile of selling vacuum cleaners, but eventually I got the sale that allowed me to retire.This concept also applies for the ladies, however they aren't usually the one's doing the quot;knockingquot;.

- According to Consumer Reports, they work the same as all other vacuums, but cost far more. So, yes they are good, but so are all the other cheaper brands.

- i own a pool company and your better automatic pool vaccums would be either a polaris or a creepy crawly but you can get them cheaper online then in a pool store. look under pool companies

- Get a Roomba robotic floor cleaner. I love mine. It does a great job and really isnt that noisey. Oh, I did I say it does it all by its self.
