Q: would spraying it with silocone lube help to unfreeze it?
Do you mean they are binding on the rear disc or is the piston(s) seized in the caliper? If you are suffering from jammed pistons then, having disassembled the caliper, some lube on the outer walls of the piston(s) will help prevent the problem occurring soon – make sure the lube you use will not affect rubber seals – some silicone sprays will. Replace the seals and the bleed nipple. Otherwise avoid any lubrication in the brake assembly (except some copper grease on the reverse of the pads to prevent squealing). Silicone especially is a nightmare to completely remove if you get it on the disc – and will contaminate the pads. Use brake and clutch cleaner it will evaporate and leave no residue.
Q: I saw that when coming to a stop its good to use the front brake a little bit then the rear brake.I never seem to use the front brakes though, how about you?
This Site Might Help You. RE: How often do you use your Front Brakes on your Motorcycle? I saw that when coming to a stop its good to use the front brake a little bit then the rear brake. I never seem to use the front brakes though, how about you?
Q: I was wonder what you guys think are the most important features to have on a motorcycle to ensure a safe ride. Everyone probably has slightly different opinions, but in general I want to know the most practical and essential elements.
A brain and the ability to use it when the time comes. Before you start riding, weather a veteran rider or a beginner! Added- Need to agree with Mr. Smartpants on the tires on the bike, major plus even on the slowest mo-ped made. Still, the question asked 'on a motorcycle' and if a rider is not 'on' a motorcycle than tires are pointless. Added Adam- Dude, I love that you ride and all. But the question was about safety features NOT the removal of them for the pure pleasure of knowing when you needed it you removed it to bring a smile on your face.
Q: What was the first mass produced motorcycle with a disc brake?
I came across the same information. The 1969 Honda CB750.
Q: Jinlong motorcycle 125 motorcycle motorcycle fuel tank about how much money one?
The original car is more expensive, but are all fake, generally more than 100.
Q: I used to stop motorcycle by pulling clutch and pressing rear brake. This make rear tyre to slip often, then my friend told me not to pull the clutch and directly press the rear brake and when it stops then pull clutch and downshift the gear. Is this method right? I tried it and really it don‘t allow rear tyre to slip, I am able to stop at over 50kmph without slipping the tyre. But I have question, does this harm engine? I change engine oil in 6000km which is recommended by manufacturer.
Just a bunch of adrenaline
Q: Is it like a stick car? that it will roll back on hills and i need to be shifting and all that stuff?
Take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation Beginners Rider Course. Riding a motorcycle is not hard, but you need to be educated if you are going to do it right! There is a bit of coordination involved but if you can drive stick, you can probably handle a bike. There was a girl in my class who didn't know what a clutch was when she started and even she did OK
Q: How to back up your motorcycle on an extremely steep hill ( if you have to, can‘t go any forward ).bike is facing downhill and the bike is so heavy that there is no way to back it up normally. once you release the brakes the bike go forward really quick.
You have just realized one of the basic laws, Gravity, its a tough one to defeat. You have now learned a very important lesson, try to leave the bike pointed in the direction you plan on leaving. Next time butt the rear wheel against the curb and leave it in gear.
Q: Just to say first of all, i have tried googling these/looking on pedia but i have had no luck :(If anyone could shed some light upon what these mean then i‘d be very grateful:Fly-by-wire throttleBrake-by-wireRam airDry clutchInverted forksPre-load suspensionSuspension dampeningAlso, if anyone could tell me the main differences between a V-twin, V4 and V4 inline motorcycle then i‘d appreciate that too :)Thanks in advance for all and any help :)
Motorcycles that use a dry clutch include Ducati and Moto Guzzi. One clutch disc sandwiched between the flywheel and the pressure plate. Clutch is not immersed in engine oil. Virtually all motocross motorcycles use inverted forks. Many sport bikes are equipped with inverted or upside down forks. First URL talks about all motorcycle forks. Towards bottom right shows a motorcycle with USD (upside down) forks. Second URL talks about suspension in general. This also included dampening. Dampening controls the springs. V-Twin ala Harley-Davidson. V4. Four cylinder engine with the crankshaft oriented transversely i.e. left to right as you sit on the motorcycle. Honda Sabre and VFR use V-4 engines. V4 inline. Four cylinder engine with the crankshaft oriented front to back as you sit on the motorcycle. The Honda ST1300 is an example of a motorcycle equipped with an inline V4. Typically these type of motorcycles are shaft drive.
