Q: Hi,I'm trying to connect a Panasonic CQ RDP200-LEN car radio. Normally,there is red and yellow wire for ignition and constant,and a black wire for ground. However,this unit has 2 yellow wires,2 black wires and a red. Where do these wires go? thanks: I know waht you talking about for the wiring. my dual deck was the same way as far as the average wiring you were talking about..... that does sound weird. the other wires might just be for xtra hook ups that u dnt have. however dont take my word for that! what i would do is looking up the wiring diagram for the exact model that you have, look at the manual that came with it if there was one, or call a number for the wiring on the deck if there is one.

Q: im gettin a amp and sub for my car and was wondering how would i make a wiring kit for it ... i have basic knolage of wires but thats about it thanks in advance: the wiring kit is usually: - low gauge cable of certain length (x2) - rca cable of a certain length (x1) - small power connect cable (x1) seeing as these things are already pretty much in their simplest form, I don't see the practicality of making your own wiring kit. just buy one.

Q: I am hooking up a subwoofer in my 01' civic and i cant figure out where the remote wire from the amp connects to in the back of my new headunit. Do i need a wiring harness? any help would be appreciated thanks: The remote wire is almost always the blue one. If it is an aftermarket deck that has never had a amp installed, the remote wire shouldn't be connected to anything and should always be blue. If your using a stock headunit it may not even have one, the best thing u can do is connect the remote from your amp to something that will only work after the ignition is turned on, if your not sure wat wire is doing what, to test them simply join both power wires from your deck together (the red and yellow wires), and connect the ground wire (black) to any metal earthed to ur cars body, just touch the joined power wires from your deck to any wires close by with ur ignition turned on until you get power to your headunit, then turn the ignition off if ya lose power to the deck then u can just connect the remote from your amp to that. While checking the wires the worst that can happen is a blown fuse, so just have a spare 10amp fuse or two just in case. I hope that helped ya out. gl.

Q: How do I wire this ceiling fan? There are two house wires coming from ceiling-one white, one black. There are three wires on the fan- one white, one solid black, and one black with a white stripe. There is one light switch in the room that will be operating the fan/light (the fan has a light on it). I wired the white wire to the white wire, the black wire with the white stripe to the black wire, didn't know where to wire the solid black wire to. Now only the light part of the fan works, the fan does not work at all. Where does the solid black wire go? I need both the fan and the light to work.: The black and black/white are the hot legs for the fan and the light kit.If you have separate switches on your wall then you could operate the fan and the light without having to pull the string.On my house all the switches are that way.Up in the ceiling there is an additional hot wire.It is colored red.
