Q: There are so many method to remove the rug but i wanna the best method...I have tried many method so please help me out...
Dusting is the one method to remove your rug is then dusted thoroughly from both sides with our special rug duster. This step is very important because it’s easier to remove the majority of the soil while the rug is dry...They must be cleaned on a regular basis before they reach the point of total saturation...We have so many method and we can select our method from many site based on our comfort ability...
Q: I went to a heritage craft festival last year, and there was a lady making rugs. It was at a Colonial period mansion, and she said the rugs were found in the storage of the family, and never finished. So she was using similar materials, and following the pattern to finish them. I guess it was rug hooking, but I don't remember her calling it that. She would take a very thick piece of wool and pull it through the backing to make a little loop, then, on the same piece of wool, just make a loop in the next hole, no knots, no cut pieces..she said the fabric was so tight and the wool so thick that it would hold it in, and eventually the bottom would become felt from walking on it (she showed me the older portions of the piece). Is that the same as regular modern rug hooking? it doesn't seem like it...does anyone know if this sounds right? does anyone rug hook like this? Thanks!
It can be called punch rug or rug hooking also have heard it called by other names that are used just in certain regions of the country. With a rug hook you reach through a hole you make in the fabric, grab hold of the fabric underneath and pull loops of the fabric(or yarn )through to the top of the fabric to make a loop. It is usually done with burlap backing, or you can buy rug backing made especially for it. For punch rugs you have a tool that the material or yarn is threaded though. You push it through the rug backing and hold one hand underneath to hold onto the loop so it won't pull out when the punch is pulled back out and moved to make the next hole. Aunt Lydia Yarn Co used to sell a lot of the kits to make them and also the patterned rug backing along with how much yarn you would need to make them, but I think they totally dropped that line. If the loops are made too closely together the rug won't lay flat, it will buckle from too much material being forced into too small an area. I have made over 40 hook rugs and easily twice that many punch rugs over the past 35 years. Have made them with wool material cut into narrow strips, cotton material and cotton or polyester yarns too. They are fun and can last for a lot of years. It takes a lot of patience and doesn't take long before you can get the hang of how closely to place the loops. Have 3 upstairs now that I keep putting off starting because of a lot of other projects I need to finish first.
Q: My carpets aren't exactly dirty but I always have people over and there is a lot traffic dirt where you can see the people walk a lot.My question is how can I clean the carpets really well? I have resolve foaming spray but I was just wondering if you had any other ideas. Thanks!
Carpeting okorder . Think about it for a second, when you put shampoo in your hair, do you not rinse it out. Many products on the market are a rip off, and this foaming spray is one of them. The carpet needs to be hot water rinsed and extracted to come clean, and no, this does not hurt the carpet.
Q: Doesn't carpet bombing subdue countries quicker and with less casualties than other methods?
Carpet bombing is undeniably effective. However its indiscriminate. You can kill the enemy or hit a school or kill your own men for that matter. Its not a controlled atmosphere. You just drop your bombs like a carpet so to speak. Its a great demoralizer and it destroys anything in its path I wouldnt be above using it.
Q: Which is more socially responsible: a machine made or hand made rug?
Child labor is so frowned upon in the rug importing community, it's rather difficult to find products made with child labor anymore. Many higher end handmade rug manufacturers and importers actually sponsor schools and housing for their workers' families - see Rugmark and Care Fair. Machine made rugs tend to be of lower quality, and while I wouldn't necessarily say they put people out of work, they do require a lot of energy to run the power looms. Old fashioned hand knotted rugs made on wooden looms are pretty much carbon neutral, and if you buy the ones made with vegetable dyes, they're really quite ethical, relatively speaking.
Q: do you have to have a specific prayer rug? I have one from Saudi Arabia. Would that work
no. Just a clean place to pray is enough May Allah be with you
Q: How do I Eliminate Cat Urine Odors in carpet
Wow 11 cats is a lot. I think since the order is eye watering the only option is to put new carpet in. Or you can try professional carpet cleaning. Good luck
Q: I am new to weaving and inherited a loom. I a looking for opinions on the best websites to buy warp for my loom. I am looking for the best price, etc. I need to buy 360 spools.
360 okorder too. If you're a new weaver, better to start off with the materials for one rug first.
Q: I am wanting to make a braided rug. I have done a lot of research and have patterns, know how to do a few different braids, etc. The trouble I am having is deciding what kind of material to use. I know most people use scraps. I have some old clothes I can cut up, but what material is best? I have mostly old cotton t-shirts. Would that work? Do jeans work? Or should I just buy some sort of material at the store? Any recommendations??
I once bought an instruction book about this, although never made a rug. They recommend good quality cotton, and ripped, or cut on the bias to allow a bit of stretch. I've also seen them made from old nylon stockings. I'd suggest that jeans would work, if cut on the bias as recommended in the book. Durable, cheap, although not very long pieces if cut bias.
Q: Whats all this nonsense i hear about shampooing carpets and such? can you really do that? and like, how? hah sorry apparently my friends mom was doing it to her carpet yesterday and i am bored and thinking about doing it to my carpet but i need to know how first :D
Rent a carpet cleaner. It takes some work, so make sure you know what your doing.
