- Q: How to quickly remove the glue on the floor
- 1, with a paper towel dip some alcohol (preferably with industrial alcohol, do not use the medical also make do) wipe, and then rub a few times on the clean. 2, with acetone. The method is the same as above. With the amount of small and thorough, the best is that it can very quickly and easily remove the residual gum, better than the sprinkler. These two are the solvent, but also all the methods, the best results. 3, with nail polish. Usage is also the same as alcohol acetone. The effect is also very good. Wash water does not require quality, good or general will do, as long as the nail polish can be washed through. 4, with hand cream. First tear the surface of the printed products, and then squeeze some of the hand cream on the top, slowly rub with a thumb, rub a while will be able to stick to the residual sticks are rubbing down. It is a little slower. Hand cream is a lipid material, its nature and glue is not compatible. In addition to glue is to use it this feature. This Article 3 and Article 4 of the Central Television is a section of the section described in the set of ridiculed Li calcium water boat scared. Material easy to find, but also very convenient, can get rid of residual glue. 5, with banana water. Is used to remove the paint of an industrial agent, it is easy to buy (selling paint where there is to sell). The method also comes with alcohol acetone one
- Q: How I can I simplify the floor function; insted of using the special floor markers or function (e.g. floor (f(x)) I can express x without the use of the special loor marker or function.
- The short answer: you can't. The longer answer: it depends largely on your function inside the floor function, and how much uglier you're willing to make the function. Certainly floor(constant) is simply a constant, floor(sin(x)) is relatively simple to describe: -1 on intervals (2pi*n-pi, 2pi*n), 0 on intervals [2pi*n, 2pi*n+pi/2) U (2pi*n+pi/2, 2pi*n+pi], and 1 at points 2pi*n+pi/2. You could also perhaps make some limiting procedure, like an infinite-degree polynomial, to describe things. I'm not positive how to go about trying this, but I wouldn't be surprised if it could be worked out somehow. Finally, you could cheat and just say floor(x) = x - fpart(x), where fpart(x) represents the fractional part of x. That's hardly a help though, as fpart isn't nicely defined either. This is essentially what the last answerer was doing with the modulus, although depending on how exactly you define the modulus it shouldn't give you problems with negative values; dividing -2.3 by 1 would actually give you a remainder of .7, and so x-(x&1)= -3, as desired. (Remainders are usually restricted to be between zero and the divisor.)
- Q: when/why should terrazzo be installed on a floating floor?
- Terrazzo should never be installed on a floating floor. It needs a firm base to start with. You can install floating floor over a terrazzo floor since its always a flat level floor.Install over it as long as you have exterior door height clearances. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar, I ve attended several installation seminars as well as installed a couple 100,000 s/f. GL
- Q: floor hockey
- excess saliva from mouth when overly excited. Benny That's just gross................but out of curiousity.........what was his dinner?
- Q: Real hardwood flooring or laminate? Why?We bought real hardwood and I'm starting to think it may have been a bad choice because I'm worried about our furniture moving and scratching it.
- Real hardwood is best for resale, and if you love it. If you have a lower end house and neighbourhood, then go with laminate as you will not get the money back from installing hardwood. If you are not concerned with resale, then you need to pick what you love. You obviously liked the hardwood enough to buy it, so you must have done enough research on the maintenance and care of the flooring before choosing it. Yes you will get scratches, dings, dents..that is part of having wood. Do not use the nylon buttons on the legs of furnishings..they mark hardwood. Use the felt pads on every piece of furniture you own. You will have to vacuum all the time to keep grit off the floor. If you do not have any animals running in and out, then it will be easy maintenance. I have very high quality, expensive hardwood throughout my home and a large dog who runs in and out in all weather...I spend a lot of time cleaning the floors. Laminate is nice...low end and it will scratch too without the option of repair. You have already decided, so don't worry about it now...most places will not exchange hardwood...Oh, and when cleaning hardwood..never ever use vinegar on the floor. It will ruin your finish.
- Q: I pulled up all the carpet in my bedroom, and some areas in the hardwood floor is darker then some other places. What can I do to make the floor bright again?
- Sand it down and refinish it (stain, polyurethane). You can rent a machine and do it yourself or pay someone to do it. You could also put a throw rug over it if you can't refinish it.
- Q: My parquet floor is expose to water and moisture due to rain water getting on them. Resulting with small 'polka dots' like damage on the surface. Is there any way that I can DIY repair it? Cos getting the professionals are too expensive.
- Parquet floors are easily damaged by exposure to moisture. There is a point where you can't fix them, they have to be replaced. Ask again with pics of the floor for a better answer.
- Q: My church recently had our concrete floors stained and then sealed with 2 coats of urethane..I have tried cleaning and buffing with a neutral PH floor cleaner which left a film on the floor. I have a couple questions since I am in charge of caring for the floor1. How do I keep the floor clean and shiney without leaving water marks or soap film on the floor?2.How do I buff and shine the floor?3.How do I remove the scratches and scuff marks from the floor?
- Concrete Buffing
- Q: I am considering pulling up my carpet and painting the cement. I do not like the carpet, but I would not mind hard woods, but that is a little too much money. I have also thought of tiling the floors. How hard is it to pull the carpet up, ready the cement, and eventually paint the floor? How much money will I be needing? Suggestions please!
- they sell paint specifically for concrete, make sure to look for paint that is for basement/garage floors I used one from Rustoleum, you have to go pretty quick cause its an enamel that you create by pouring 2 mixes together and it has a pot life of an hour
- Q: I pulled up my old vinyl kitchen flooring (7 years old) and found that the underlayment is in great shape except that the original vinyl was just glued about 3 inches around the entire perimeter. I scraped the old glue as best as possible and it is almost perfectly level with the rest of the floor. Does it need to be perfectly smooth where it meets the unglued edge or is a slight ridge OK to keep it from showing through the new vinyl flooring? I do have floor "sizing" that I plan to use where there are any nicks or impressions. Should I use the sizing around the edges and taper to the good flooring or am I overdoing this project? I plan to lay new vinyl flooring this wekend. I'd appreciate any good advice. PS: I also tried sanding the old glue to take off any high ridges using 80 paper. Thanks
- The smother the underlayment, the better the finished job. The floor prep in more important the actual installation. Please try to get the floor smooth before you start. you will be happier for years.
