- Try scrubbing with a little soap & water. Use one of the sponges with the traditional sponge on one side and the green abrasive stuff on the other. If that doesn't work you could either try a little paint thinner or call the maker - Pergo; Wilsonart; et al and ask them what to do and what warrenty coverage may be available. Worst case scenario, I believe the dealers have experts that can come and replace a single board. But it's probably expensive. Good luck.

- I recognize the pattern, I sell that pattern in a 3'X3' rubber sheet, the solid rubber is used in dangerous locations because it does not conduct electricity. The 3'X3' rubber sheets fit together exactly with a very unique glue. Yes I have seen the same pattern in metal, but now you are getting into pricey flooring material, the solid rubber is around $5.00 a square foot and the metal flooring would probably come from a metal fabricating shop. Whatever you taste is, you are approaching into commercial flooring, flooring that is used in auto garages, factories, banks etc...
- Q: I'm going to be installing laminate flooring in a house that has had the carpet and old tiling torn out. The floor is currently bare smooth concrete. The house is not over 20 years old so everything is in good (non-leaking) condition. The only thing on the floor is some of the residual carpet glue and some screw holes from the thresholds. Will i need a vapor barrier? If so, what kind? will i need to seal the concrete floor with something? What is the best kind of saw to use to cut laminate flooring when detail work needs done as well? - You will need a moisture barrier(plastic sheeting)because all the prepadded laminate ive ever seen requires a moisture barrier over concrete slab.The weight of the floor keeps it down but if you attach it to anything it will cause the floor to buckle or seperate when it expands or contracts.Depending on where your installing it and what brand you may need to fill expansion gap with silicone and/or to glue the pieces together to keep moisture from getting down between the boards.

- The floating part means they are not glued down. They are usually installed over concrete or wood sub-floors [supporting floor]. First a thin underlayment is placed directly on the sub-floor, could be thin foam. Then the strips of wood interlock and are laid down, cut and trimmed to fit. Finally baseboard is fitted where it meets the wall to finish the project. If yours is blond, one of the most popular and eco-friendly is bamboo. The bamboo is covered with a durable epoxy or resin to give the shine. Cleaning: First sweep or vacuum up loose dirt, dog hair etc.Then damp [not wet] mop with a laminate and wood floor cleaner. I use one made by Zep. But look for a product that indicates it is suitable for wood and laminate floors. NEVER immerse the floor with water or liquid. Don't spill the cleaner on the floor and wipe it around. Apply the floor cleaner to a sponge mop or similar, then apply to the floor. It is ok to apply the cleaner from a spray applicator directly onto the floor then mop it. The biggest enemy of floating wood/laminate flooring is water leaks like a dishwasher overflowing, washer overflowing. It is generally not used in bathrooms or places where there is a high likelihood of water spills. The underside is generally not sealed and the product absorbs water, then expands and buckles.
- Q: So i want to make a mini dance studio/ gym in my garage. I am already getting floor mats for the gym equipment but flooring for my mini dance studio is too expensive. I was thinking, could I possibly use the same floor mats (which is regular shock absorbtion interlocking mats) but put some sort of vinyl tile flooring over the mats so I can turn and everything? Could this work? Has anyone tried this already?
- A dance floor has to be sprung in order to reduce impact on jumps and reduce the risk of you getting hurt. The more modern floors have a basketweave pattern under the surface. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sprung_floor I don't know if the mats will work or not, I haven't heard of anyone doing this.
