Technical introduction
★The ball valve is designed as fully welded structure,which can prevent the leakage of medium.
★The valve seat is floating and spring-loade.The seal is made of soft seal materials of PTFE+20%C and Viton B.The seat is tightly abutted against the ball surface by the pressure of a spring,so that even if the media is in low pressure,a reliable sealing can be assured for the ball valve.Double piston effect and double seal(two-seal seat)are adopted in specially designed valve seat to realize double sealing,which makes the tightness of the ball valve more advantageous and the operation easier.
★A floating ball is adopted for DN15-DN200,and a stem and trunnion ball is adopted for DN200 and above,which can ensure the accurate position of different size ball.In other words,the sealing performance,low torque valve and operability can be guaranteed.
★The sealing of the stem is fulfilled by two replaceable O-rings and packing consisting of PTEE+20%C or flexible graphite,as the packing seal material,is fire proof effect,and is specially suitable for fuel gas systems.
★The materials used for the valve body and pipelines are the same(carbon steel or SS steel),valve body and stem adopt SS steel and the packing adopts PTEE+20%C which is corrosion-resistance or flexible graphite.

- For the inexperienced I would choose rubber it is harder to mess up by overtightening and if you clean the surface it will seal good
- Q: Alright. The engine is a 7mgte. The clearances for the skims in the intake side is 0.20mm and the exh side is 0.25mm. What happens if i mixed the shims?
- It does make a difference on which shim goes where! Make sure pushrods are in the right place, i'm not sure on that type of engine but some engines have different lengths for pushrods intake could be different length than exhaust! You could also have a bad lifter.

- dealership wil prolly charge $150-$175 depending on their labor rates. Might find a local shop to do it for less. Goto autozone and ask them to pull the part and to give you a diagram of where it's located and you can decide if you can do it yourself. EGR Exhaust Gas Recirulator typically is located on the intake manifold. Never been under the hood of an 00 Explorer though.

- Q: Hi all,My 1995 nissan altima (122k on the odometer) stalled for a few minutes this morning. I noticed that one of the sparkplug holes ( where the cable from the distributer connects to the spark plug) is sorrounded by oil. I cleaned it out and it got filled with oil again. luckily for me, and by god's grace it somehow started normally and i drove home. I am sure its the valve gasket. There is not much oil leakage, the oil level is fine.I need to know if its going to damage my engine if I ignored the problem for 3-4days.Thanks.

- A leak down test won't tell you anything about the valve stem seal. It will about the actual valve face sealing in the valve seat, but the valve is closed when performing a leak down test. The best way to diagnose worn valve stem seals is if you get a lot of oil smoke onstart up, but it goes away in a few minutes. A real giveaway on bikes is after the bike has set on the side stand overnight and when you fire it up, you get more oil smoke out of the left side muffler than on the right side muffler. That's because the oil in the valve area runs to the left side when parked on the side stand.

- For any pnuematic control valve the operating pressure is from 3 to fully opened at 15 psig. It means a pnuematic control valve opens fully at 15 psi and closes at 3 psig. To calibrate it,prepare the following, one mercury manometer 0 tp 1000mm,Hg, one air pressure regulator for 20psig supply and air hoses,3 to15 psi output gauge, micrometer screw pressure regulator and air pressure supply. Prepare a Tee with the air supply at the center.Connect one leg to the mercury manometer and the other equalizer leg to the control valve and a tee on top of the valve and an output gauge connected to the tee.. Both the manometer and control valve should receive equal pressure from the pressure regulator. A 15psig pressure is 775 mm mercury . So, set the mercury manometer to an equivalent of 15 psig,775mmHg, and prepare a table of equivalent pressure from 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15psig. The valve should be fifty percent open at 9 psig and 25% open at 6 psig, likewise, it should close at 3 psig and 75% open at 12 psig fully opened at 15 psig. The pressure variation may be done with the micrometer type pressure regulator at the pressure supply.
