- Q:In Pascals Principle,Why is the A1 smaller than A2,and how does the small force(effort) lift a car? #confused?
- The small force does NOT lift the car. The LARGE force lifts the car. A small force acting over a small area produces PRESSURE. ( a moderate pressure ) This moderate pressure acting over a large area produces a large force. At the same time energy is involved if the car actually moves. Energy cannot be created so that we must do a lot more moving of the small pump to give enough energy to the fluid to make the larger piston move a small distance.
- Q:where can i find shocks to lift a car for 22 inch rims?
- Shocks don't lift a vehicle. That's done with springs.
- Q:It looks like the back of my car is higher than the front, I was thinking I can take bolt cutters, raise the back, and cut about an inch off the spring and it will drop that far?If I do this, do I have to take the wheel off, or can I just cut it while it‘s lifted off the ground? Again, it‘s just an inch, or less.

- If it is not painted it should be OK for potting things. but the glaze does give it strength and cleanability. I would probably not use it to eat much on as it will stain easy. It's still porous.

- Usually the car comes with a jack, bottle jacks work but can be dangerous if you do not block up or use a jack stand for safety sake. also if you change on the side of the road and the ground is soft the jack will sink in the ground a bit if you do not have a thick piece of plywood about 1 ft. square. If you do not have a jack you can get a cheap one at an auto wrecker off a junked car. Usually are scissor type jacks. check your owners manual on how top properly jack up your car. Get a friend or neighbor to show you how to safely change a tire. Is not hard, but you need to know how to do safely. Otherwise get road hazard insurance and call for help.
