- Q: I have a work colleague who lives not to far from me. They used to catch public transport to and from work before i joined the company. They asked me to give them a lift home after work, and now it has become the norm. Whilst this person seems ok, they have had the nerve to ask me to pick them up on the way in (which i refused), also they now expect that i will take them home all the time. They even have the nerve to have a go at me when they had thought i left without them. They do not give me petrol money (not that i would ask), or even offered over the last few months. They also wait around after work on purpose when i stay late. What would u do in my situation? I don‘t mind this person, but do believe they are taking advantage of a free ride!!
- I don't see a problem. I offer lifts to my colleague at work on days I drive in. Of course you're not obliged to take anyone home, but it seems like a nice thing to do. However, since this issue really seems to bother you - just tell this person that you don't wish them to accompany you on your ride home. If the person has a go at you, tell them you're not obliged to provide them transport. I don't even see how petrol money (or the offer of it) is an issue. You were going to work and returning anyway and you were going to drive in anyway.
- Q: I was wondering why cars don‘t work like airfoils due to their shape. I‘m talking a flat bottom with a curvy top. Sure not your ideal Epler airfoil but why is it that an airplane doesn‘t suddenly shoot up from the road? Is it the density of the car. Also cars usually want downwards force (inverted lift) for more traction right so I suppose that could be a reason.
- You let the cat out of the bag when you said: I changed the motor, transmission mounts and half-shafts! CV axles never break, there's nothing to wear-out. A solid piece of steel axle shafting does not break . The half-shafts aren't the correct part number or your buying crappy box store parts. It isn't possible for a rip roaring 115 horsepower engine to break an axle shaft.

- i think your pads or worn and you are down to metal on metal. when the metal gets hot, it melts, just like a weld and melts to the rotor.

- Q: i have a hyundai accent and it is all stock i haven‘t done anything to it. the stock height of my car is a little low and it scrapes on speed bumps and curbs where i live at so i was just trying to find out what a rough estimate of a lift of like 4 or 5 inches would be. that‘s all i need to lift it so i doesn‘t scrape anything.

- Chevy s10 zr2 the zr2 suspension is really high. The truck itself is built solid as a rock and they aren't too bad on gas. You probably aren't gonna be to happy with a full size lifted truck as a first vehicle cause it will have an after market lift and if any part of the suspension breaks (and it will) it's will be diffacult to find replacement parts and it will be expensive. The gas mileage will suck and the worst part that your definatly not gonna like is the fact that when its windy out it will feel like your driveing a box van extremely tough to stay in your lane at high speeds.
