Q: The difference between the two - lens and double - lens
The lens of the vehicle is divided into two types: single light and double light, and the single lens is designed with a lens corresponding to near and far light, such as M6 near lens, Mondeo high beam lens Is that it can be similar to the transformation of near and near light, usually near the state of light, when the same time open the high light, it is through the electromagnetic mechanism to operate variable light file, so that the light is also assigned to the high beam light Up, equal to have two high light together. Double light lens is generally used in the high-end car above, such as A6. BMW. Mercedes-Benz, etc .. In the far light state, there are double halogen + bi-xenon bulb irradiation distant road, brightness doubled.
Q: 3 days ago my check engine light came on, so I took it to a shop and had them scan for codes. Came up with the old loose gas cap code. The cap was neither loose nor old (I actually had just had it replaced a few months ago), but I replaced it anyways. The light stayed on, and the mechanic told me they‘re no longer allowed to reset the check engine light for that specific error code. New federal law, apparently. I thought that was pretty weird, but anyhow, the light went off this morning on my way to work. I don‘t know what this indicates, as I‘ve always had the system reset by the mechanic once it‘s fixed. Does it go off by itself over time if the problem has efficiently been fixed?
if the problem is fixed, then the light and code will go away after a while. I never heard of a federal law saying they cant reset the light. i'd see what another mechanic says next time
Q: I HAVE A 1996 FORD EXPLORER, I HAD THE AUTO ZONE COMPUTER THING AND IT SAID I NEEDED A OXYGEN SENSOR SO I BOUGHT ONE, HAD IT PUT ON AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS STILL ON. NOW WHAT. I NEED TO GET INSPECTED BUT CANT WITH THAT LIGHT AND WHEN I RESET IT, THE LIGHT WENT OFF FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS AND CAME BACK ON WHAT DO I DO NOW?
If the your car has gone to 3 different shops and their code reader detected a fault with the same code and has been replaced with a new one then the problem may lye in the a faulty wire to or from the main computer. Depending on the code reader they were using may not have the capability to perform a function that will reset adaptation or monitor the suspected part. Some late model cars have the capability of flashing the prom chip in the computer that fixes any known bugs in the chip. I suggest taking the car to the GMC dealer because they have the proper test equipment to monitor and performed specific activation test to isolate the problem. Your chances of them finding the culprit is much likely than a shop that doesn't have the proper equipment. If they do pinpoint the problem in a timely fashion they will call u give an accurate estimate to repair it. And that's when u decide if it's not worth fixing. But give them a try. It beats financing a new car and keeping the extra funds for more important things. Good luck!
Q: I just bought a 2003 Corolla 71K miles end of feb. Now i haven‘t had a problem with the car at all but last week i had checked the antifreeze and the over Flow was dry in my old car i Always had it in there (told my mechanic to do so) now the radiator itself looked empty as well but when i filled it it didn‘t take much so im guessing there was some since i didn‘t overheat either. well now last night we went out and did a bunch of things came home got up at 5 this morning for work and my check engine light was on , so we didn‘t drive it. later on we checked fluid they are finei didn‘t get gas or anything i know that sometimes sets that light off but i did mess with it just in case its still on any idea what this lights on for?!?! can i go to like advanced auto part for a test?BTW- I heard that its my oxygen sensor. but if this is true. i just bought the car in feb in which it was also inspected as of 02/09. are they liable? even though my warranty is up?
Just take the car into a shop. Lean codes are not indicative of bad oxygen sensors. You can google the causes of codes P0171, but the O2 sensor is not the problem.
Q: 2008 chevy uplanderstability system and traction control light stays onwhats the cure?
Depends on what is wrong with it. Sort of hard to tell you what it may be without knowing what DTC is set in the vehicle. Either go to auto parts stores let them scan it if they can or dealership let them fix it. Check Engine Light on?
Q: A 1700 kg automobile is at rest at a traffic signal. At the instant the light turns green, the automobile starts to move with a constant acceleration of 3.0 m/s2. At the same instant a 2200 kg truck, traveling at a constant speed of 8.0 m/s, overtakes and passes the automobile.(a) How far is the center of mass of the automobile truck system from the traffic light at t 3.0 s? **I worked through this multiple times, thinking the answer was possibly 12, 18, or 12.5 none of those were correct(b) What is the speed of the center of mass of the automobile-truck system then?**for this I thought you would just do 3+8 / 2 but that was incorrect :[Please help, thank you very much
depends on what,s making it slip ! if it,s the transmission filter then not too much ! but if it,s the bands or clutches you might as well get a good transmission from the junk yard !
Q: m airbag and service light are stck on even tho i hav checked and tried everythi to get them off
Well if it's a 1995 or newer, there's a plug under the dash that you can go to any auto zone or place like it and their analyzer can shut the lights off but if there's a problem, they will come back on fairly quick.I bought a analyzer for $69.I have used it 100's of times!! ps.SOMETIMES,disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or so will reset the system.Good Luck. Try the battery disconnect. But if theirs A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR BAG SYSTEM,It wont go off.But I think the battery diss. is best right now.But it sounds like there's a problem with the airbag system.
Q: I just got into my car this morning and noticed my ABS light is on. It was not on last night, so I have no idea what happened. My car sat inside all night, and like I said, when I got in and started it this morning, the ABS light was on and did not turn off the entire way to work. Does anyone know what may have caused this, and what needs to be done?
I had the same thing but on another vehicle. A brake inspection showed that it was the abs sensor. And all that had to be done was to clean it, which was much less costly than the brake inspection itself. You can drive without abs anyway. All abs does it pump the brakes for you when stopping in slippery conditions. This you can do yourself. I know some people who actually prefer no abs, and disconnected it.
Q: Is ttl basically the same thing as auto except that ttl tells the flash what yur camera settings are and in auto u have to manually dial in the settings? Also, there is something called i-tt(for nikon) and a a comparable function for other camera manufacturers where teh camera shoots a quick preflash to determine exposure. What is, if any, the advantage to i-tt. Is it any more accurate than auto or ttl?
As with anything else, the anwer is: it depends. In a TTL flash system, the camera measures the flash through the lens (which is what TTL means) and tells the flash when to shut off. An auto flash measures the light itself. Both can be fooled by the same things, like a reflective surface or a large amount of dark colors in a shot. I use both kinds, and for me, the auto flash is more consistent. Yes, you have to set the ISO and aperture on the flash to match what you are using on the camera, where a TTL unit already knows these things. The camera and flash are not re-measuring the scene for each shot, which a TTL system does, and can give you widely variable results from shot to shot. The camera meter controls the flash, and if you meter on a bright spot one shot, and a dark spot the second shot, the flash output will be very different. An auto unit is measuring the entire scene each shot, not one specific area. What the TTL units make easy is fill flash. You don't have to measure or calculate or make a best guess as to the flash power, you just shoot and it works. Nikon even has a specific flash mode for this. I shoot E-TTL with Canon gear, although I find that it tends to underexpose the flash by 2/3 to 1 full stop, and that is with 2 different flashes. With my Sony digital, and Minolta and Nikon film cameras, I use all auto flashes. I get results as good, or better, than the E-TTL stuff, without the constant underexposure of the Canon system.
Q: I went to Auto Zone and got codes. Yikes I have 5 different ones. Guy said all but the first could be linked to transmission. So here‘s the codes: PO171system to lean, bank ox; PO743torque converter, circuit electrical; PO1401Manf. control auxiliary, emissions controls; PO1507Manf. control veh. speed, Idle speed control, auxiliary inputs; PO1744Manf. Control, transmission. I had the transmission replaced with used one last year. It seems OK, but after I drive it a while the OD light starts flashing. But the real rough idle when car is stopped is really bothering me. It is worse when it is in drive, but still bad when in nuetral or park, so it may be related to transmission. It reminds me of the way a stock car idles, but my car is far from being race car. PLEASE help! Also, if you know where I can get suggested parts at a good price please let me know.
1. Stop going to autozone for diagnostics. 2. Take your car to a reputable shop, for a nominal fee, they will find out what's wrong, and give you an estimate for repairs. Good luck. I would find a different shop. If he is using the same equipment as the autozone kid, he isn't keeping up with technology. As far as parts, I guess the best place would be the dealer. But again, without knowing exactly what is wrong, why start throwing parts at it?
