- Q: When I try to start my car, the engine doesn't even rev, the car just makes kind of an electrical noise and the Theft System light comes on. Does anyone know of a way to fix this?

- take it back to auto zone and get them to check it . They did the job so get them to fix the problem .If it wasn't happening before you took the car in . They need to scam the computer and trouble shoot the problem .
- Q: Code PO 0455 showed up. I take to dealer and they made me wait 2 days before bring it in. Took it in and engine light was still on. They called me and told me engine light was not on when they got ready to check it and the computer did not even store record of this code. This is under warranty and I justquestion what is going on here. Is this possible that I drive for 3 days with engine light on, get code reading at auto store and now dealer says it never happened. ????
- 1st of all to add feedback to the other 2 posts: dealers do not like to do warranty work as they cut the labor tremoundsly --average payout is 3 tenths of an hour for checkout ...were talking getting paid for 18 minutes. And yes its possible for your gas cap to give you a P0455 code but so are other things such as emmision hoses with cracks/splits. Your vehicle goes through system checks all the time when it fails a check, your check engine light comes on, until it is either cleared by a scan tool or the system has 3 suscessful run cycles it will turn the light back out as it thinks the system is ok. - Q: I have a 2000 Mustang (V6) and the check engine light is on. I took it do Advance auto to have it checked and they told me the code is P0411 and it says Secondary Air Injection System Incorrect Flow.I called a Ford dealer and they of course told me to bring it up there for them to charge me 200.00 just to look at the thing. They said it could be one of several different problems. The car seems to be driving just fine but the light is bothersome. Could someone please tell me what might be wrong with the car.Thank you!
- There is nothing wrong with your car. It is only a smog issue. When is your next smog certificate due? You can spend thousands of dollars for the dealer to turn your check engine light off for you. Or you can wait until you need to submit the smog test and then get it done at only a fraction of the price you would spend if you give them money every time it comes on. Also you can get financial assistance and extensions in most states after your car fails the smog test. A check engine light on; is an automatic fail in a smog test. But that is all it means. It has nothing to do with the safety or life of your car. Some people put a slice of black tape over the light until it is time for the smog check. Trust me on this one, it will save you thousands of dollars over the years. P.S. never take your car to *Aamco transmissions even though they promise to check your problem for free! *They will damage your car and charge you for the repairs. *****EDIT****** In answer to your Additional Details: Your car engine does not contain an air pump. A Secondary Air Injection System has nothing to do with your Primary Air Injection System. - Instead of asking us to guess, take it to an auto parts store and have them read the trouble code. That's what it's for--to eliminate guessing.
- Q: I have a 2000 Nissan Altima GLE with these problems: - When I activate my alarm with my remote (hold Lock for 2 secs), I can hear the alarm, but none of the lights flash. - When I use the key in the driver-side door, all four doors don‘t automatically lock/unlock. Only the driver-side door will unlock (because I‘m turning the key in that door). - Should the alarm go off after automatically locking all doors, waiting, and manually unlocking and opening a door? - Push and hold lock and unlock buttons on your remote three flasher blinks you should now have lights and no honk. Reset back the same way. Next manually turning the key once drivers side only unlocks lock. turn to unlock turn again passengers side unlocks or locks trun and hold the key either to lock or unlock 2 seconds that arms/disarms the alarm system watch the dash security light it turns on and 45 seconds latter it flashes slowly. Rapid flash means the car alarm has gone off and you will need to disarm to start the car with key or remote.

- That sounds like the Evap sensor has detected a fault could be something as simple as replacing your gas cap or making sure it is on tight. Too a frozen solenoid sensor. Happened on my frontier. Replace the cap first and see if it goes out.
- Q: my ABS light stayes on also my 4x4 light keep trying to come on and i get a wrench light. it seems like my claipers are stuck i already changed them but the problem contuines. it like the truck won‘t pull off it just sit there no matter how much gas i give it.
- The ABS modules are expensive. That being said you have more than one issue going on. The ABS light isn't too likely to be related to the inability to move the truck. Even with an inoperative ABS system the truck still has the ability to stop itself using the standard hydraulic braking system. The wrench light indicates there's a mechanical issue that needs to be fixed. The easiest way to isolate it is to have the codes scanned and go from there. The ABS system can be a chore to diagnose without a scanner designed for that purpose, unfortunately they are not the scanners the auto parts stores use for free. Your inability to get the truck moving is more likley to be related to the driveline/transmission.
