Q: I have a 1991 Plymouth Sundance. The brakes don‘t work and emergency brake light stays on. what would be wrong and would it be fixable without a mechanic? Checked brake fluid and is full.: That model like others does not have an emergency brake. The brake you are referring to when put on auto-locks itself on because it is a parking brake. The light comes on to warn the driver that there is something not right in the braking system, and it is the first thought to check the parking brake to see if it is on. The parking brake is not the only reason for it to come on though. Low brake fluid is another reason for it to light up. Brake fluid is not consumed by the car though, and unless you are working on the brakes for some other reason you should not need to add fluid. So, you need to find the leak.

Q: ok so i have a 2005 chevy aveo basic model (automatic, no power windows or anything). the fuel pump went out and we just go tit replaced by a family friend who is a mechanic and long story short i just got it home and as i was driving it home the check engine light came on. i dont know if its just because of the new pump and i just need to give it some tine or what. the car runs strong and there is nothing else mechanically wrong with it. so is there a way to reset it or does anyone have any ideas? thanks in advance :): If you go to Autozone or Advanced Auto they will come out and scan it for free and tell you what the code is. It is not related to the efficiency of the air filter. The valves on the air pump may be faulty, or switched electrically, and there may be a bad switch. Whatever, your SMOG man can do the repair. Check the warranty on Emissions related parts, because they are required and are longer than other warranties. If you are still within the mileage limits, take it to the dealer and you won't have to pay.

Q: In addition when I first start it the idle is sometime too high and lowers after running for a few minutes. And sometimes it cuts off while I‘m driving either idle or accelerating. Q: How does one disable the Auto-Chek system on a 1993 Audi 100.Mine has lost its mind.: It is in the ECM so you can't fully disable it without sending the ECM to some kind of computer genius to re-build. Q: Took it to Auto zone auto parts and the code came up Secondary air injection system.I recently changed my air cleaner and the cover is held by three screws,I dropped one down in the car frame and cant get to to it so the cover is being held with 2 screws with the front corner one missing.Could this have lead to the check engine light to come on with this code.or any other suggestions on secondary air injection system?: This code is not related to the air filter,rather it concerns a emission device that injects air into the exhaust manifold to help enhance complete burning of the gases.I think the air pump is elec motor driven and its possible a hose is loose or the motor itself is bad.The computer knows when it is not working by monitoring 02 sensor readings during eng warm up.
