Types of the cables:：
Standard main cables and branch cables are all low-voltage power cables with XLPE or PVC insulation materials (IEC, GB, JIS, BS ... ...), and PVC materials covered on the outer side. - USB cables are pretty much standard. Just look up your manual as to what kind of cable you need and find it online. bestbuy/circuitcity will rip you off if you try to buy it in store, online it would be 1/5th cheap as them
- Q:I lost the power cord and I can't seem to find a replacement online. Is there anything I can do to savage this since I do not want to buy a new printer. If it helps, I have an old power cable from a samsung ML 2510, but that printer is deemed useless since it started to smell like smoke.

- Probably not easy but if ya find the hole in the firewall underneath ya dash somewhere than just poke it through there and run it underneath ya carpet. After that u'll just be able to find ya way into the boot with no problem. I like running the power cable down the centre of the car but that can sometimes be more of a hassle than its worth, so along the side of ur seat is cool.

- Q:I have a hp laptop from south asia. The adapter connects with the laptop and the power cable. The power cable has a 3 round pin plug which says 6A 240V~. On the hp adapter for the input it says: 100-240V~ 1.6A 5-60Hz. It also says Connect Only to Grounded outlets.Now I am in canada. All i know is that here they have 120 V in normal power plugs. Also they have 1 round and 2 rectangular pins to plug in the outlet.I bought this adapter which basically connects the 3 round pin plug into the adapter and the adapter has 3 canadian pins. The thing is that it says 250V 10A on the adapter. So I am not sure if it will hurt my laptop if I use it. I am a bit confused because Canada has 120V and the adapter accepts 250V. The HP adapter has a range from 100-240V. Will this be ok to use since the HP adapter will just convert the 120V into the proper output for the laptop or do I need one the expensice Voltage converters for the laptop?
- ok here is what i would do .. (get a cheap 5 dollar volt meter at radio shack or such. ) it dont have to be digital or fancy , just need voltage reads.. unplug the lap top from the cord, plug in the adapter with the cord NOT IN THE COMPUTER. take the volt meter , and set it to read dc voltage 250v or above . read the volts comming out of the end of the cord using the meter.. is it less then 250 volts , then you should be good .. if you dont know how to read a volt meter, or know a handy neighbor with one , who knows how to us it , go ask them to read the cord for you , tell them you need to know the voltage output while connected to canadian power from the cord..

- My first guess would be a blown fuse. But a kink in the cables could do it by breaking the metal strand inside, although wires will usually bend quite a bit before this happens. When it does happen it is usually right at the connection.
- Q:Have a 480 volts 3 phase 16 amp motor. Need 400 ft of extention cord. Is is OK to use a SOOW 10/4 cable, the voltage drop is 2.67%(12 volts). Machine is powerd by a generator that I can run at 500 volts to counter the voltage drop.8/4 cable cost twice as much, but the voltage drop is 1.7%(8 volts).
- If you have the ability to increase the voltage to compensate for the volt drop and the cable has sufficient current carrying capacity, then you are fine. The volt drop will cause a little wasted power but nothing compared to cable costs probably.
