- Any power cable from any computer or normal monitor will work. Boot the computer, copy the files to a flash drive or external hard drive, and then plug the new one back in and copy the files from the drive. If it's REALLY old (doesn't even have USB ports), then the easiest way may be to open the tower, remove the hard drive, and plug it in with an IDE to USB adapter (you can buy one online, or see if a computer shop has one). Make sure you find one with a power source.

- The firewall is the bulkhead between the Passenger compartment and the engine bay. Look for a rubber grommet in the firewall/bulkhead that has existing wires going through it and use this. - Yes, the battery wont eventually run out as other people have stated. Hibernation is similar to standby (low power mode that saves what you have running for resume) except it doesnt go into a low power mode. Hibernation saves to your hard drive and then the computer uses no power. Basically, YES you can unplug it and it will stay like that until you start it up again.

- The welding cable has lower voltage (<40Volt) but a large current. The welding cable used to have lower insulation Resistance compared to the power cable. That is why it is not recommended to run the welding cable in same tray to the power cable
