- Q: I have a Samsung Sync- A707. I thought all I needed to transfer music from my computer to the phone is a memory card data cable. But, thru ATT site, when purchasing the data cable- it says software is required.

Get a Linksys Wireless router and you can use that to connect your laptop to the Internet via a wireless connection. If you want to connect it using a data cable go to the store and ask for a CAT 5 cable. it can be used to connect your laptop to the router via the RJ-45 port (the connector will look like a large phone cord connector). - You need to just get a new monitor. LCD's are not that expensive these days and it will be a nice change for you. The monitor passing current back through the video cable sounds like some kind of short in the monitor and with the picture turning green it's just time for a new one. If you could even find a place to repair the thing it will be cheaper to get an LCD. Just don't cheap out on the new LCD as you will regret it. Compare models and brands and read reviews. Acer is a very good brand that is not as expensive as brands like Samsung.
