- Q: I'm new at pressing my mac pigments. I recently bought a bunch of mac pigment samples. I have two of each color with eaxactly 1/4 tsp in each. I read that your supposed to press with 3/4. Is it okay to press with less than 3/4?
- Hi! Yes, definitely. You don't have to have exactly 3/4 tsps for it to work. 3/4 tsp might be the measurement needed to fill an eyeshadow pan, if that's where you're pressing your pigments. But then again, it's up to you if you want to fill the pan or not. You don't actually have to be very scientific about pressing pigments. Basically, keep dropping a few drops of 91% alcohol, mix it, and once it gets to the point that it's the the mixture holds/clumps together (you don't want it to be runny, and you'd know if it's still dry). If you put too much alcohol, you shouldn't worry b/c it dries up anyway. It just makes it hard to shape and press it. That's why the key is to put a few drops of alcohol at a time. There's really no exacty # of drops to # of teaspoons of pigments. I've pressed a LOT of pigments myself, and I don't even measure how much I use. Just be sure that after pressing it (press it firmly!), leave it open to air dry :)
- Q: I am a 20 y/o male ectomorph body type 130 lbs 5'7. I have been working out for about 2 years but probably only started getting serious with compound exercises with high weight, low reps, for about 2 months.I have already seen alot of improvements by doing more compound exercises vs isolated ones. I do squats, deadlifts, clean and press, dips, chin ups, etc, but when it comes to the bench press.... I just feel flat out weak. I am doing 5x5 for my sets/reps. I can only put a 45 on the bar and barely get it up 5 full reps. It's been like this for awhile. I feel strong everywhere else but for some reason, my bench is weak and my chest shows it.Any recommendations?

- Bench Press *CAN* help if your muscles are that weak, but it's more like Press-ups help Bench Press, from my own personal experience, back when I could do 78 Press-ups I shot up in Bench Press strength
- Q: I am 16 and a half, Junior, and im wondering how much i should be able to max bench press? I weight 143 lbs and 5'11 with a 72in wingspan. Currently my max bench press is 190 lbs.
- There's really no bench press standard. It depends on many factor: how long you've been training, the type of training you've been doing, how good your form is, genetics (shape of muscles and length of tendon attachments), etc. I will throw out the common metric that only about half of men aged 30 can bench press their weight. Another metric to use is if you can bench press 100 pounds more than you're weight, you are probably in the top 10%. If you can bench press double your weight, you are in the top 2%. At age 16 with a bodyweight of 143, a 190 pound press is very good.

- the best way is too do push ups. It simulates the bench press with your body weight. If you can not do a push up normally, build up to them by putting your weight on your knees and doing the same motion. Also, dips help if you have 2 bars somewhat high off of the ground. They mainly build your tri's but they help with your chest also.

- You need to go through with the charges. It is through the grace of God that you are still here as your girlfriend's ex could have killed both of you. Tell the cops that you are being pressured into not going through with the charges. The police will set your girlfriend and his mom straight. By the way, the only effective help this jerk will get is if he is imprisoned and has to face the consequences of his behavior. If he is allowed to get away with it once again, he is apt to kill someone. As for how long he will get...that depends on his previous record (if any) and any mitigating circumstances. I wouldn't worry about it though. You are lucky to be alive and this guy's behavior is criminal. Jail is where he belongs. Good luck and God bless.

- Q: Hi,Last year I got a garlic press from William Sonoma. I hate it! It is so hard to clean and just smushes the garlic. I want to know, what is a really good garlic press that will give me nice pieces of garlic and will clean very easily?Do you have a website? - the best garlic press in my opinion is a chef's knife. Lay it flat and give it a good whap with the heel of your hand, and the garlic is bruised so all the flavor is exposed. A quick rough chop and you're done. Only thing that will work better, again in my opinion, is a microplane grater or as I like to call it, a finger shortener.
