Q: Bought 60 Inch Full HD LED LCD Smart 3D TV by Sony while stationed in Germany. it came with a european a/c socket attached, so currently searching for an American socket replacement however I can't seem to find one with the same specs! Model is KDL60W850B

Q: I am trying to hook up a LCD display (CPU Temp, USB's in use, Memory Temp/usage, etc) and It came with a 5pin DIN connector for what I assume is the power. I am not sure what I need to do to connect it to the PSU. Any help or ideas?
I think this device should have a power connector as well as a sensor cable (USB in use should have a connector running on to your motherboard.) can you provide me the make/mode number of the equipment. Also provide me with a link so that i could see the connectors and wires and the device. Else take a pic, upload it some image hosting site and provide with a link. (you can edit your question or add additional info and provide a link. Replace the http with hxxp, if the link is getting blocked)
Q: ok, i want to install and upgrade the sound system in my car, volkswagen 2006, but i dont know where to run the power cable from the battery in engine compartment to the trunk where i place the amplifiers, anyone who knows, please help me out. thanks
Spray down the plug wires with WD-40 and enable it set for 10-15 minutes. initiate the motor vehicle and notice what occurs. the reason it runs like crap is that the wires did no longer do a sturdy activity of preserving moisture from getting interior the boot. Now rather of the spark occurring to the plug, this is going to arc to the closest floor direction courtesy of the moisture direction.
Q: the power cable for my macbook is frayed and today started to spark. its currently unplugged, because of the sparking. i am trying to figure out if the power cable is covered under warrantee. the macbook is still covered under warrantee until August 2011Thanks in advance
They do NOT fray like that without careless handling, which is NOT covered on warranty.
Q: Last step to install my amp is the Power Cable. Their is a fuse device i must attach to the cord so im guessing i have to cut the gauge install it on both sides and run it to the battery. Does it matter were this fuse device connects? because i want it right next to my amp.thnx
It sounds like your talking about a inline fuse holder and if thats true it dosent matter where its located as long as its between your battery and amplifier
Q: Can I use a standard 12 volt power cable on an Elmo projector?
Possibly on the BoxiT-200 that takes 12 to 19 volts at 3 amps, positive center. Read the printing on user manual, it gives the requirements. Most other Elmo projectors are plugged into an ac outlet.
Q: my amplifier s power cable is not long enough to reach battery . so is there any problem if i take another piece of power cable and then attach them ?
Solder and insulate your splice. That's the only concern.
Q: how deep underground are electric cables put and gas pipes laid underground for houses and bungalows here in the united kingdom, the Supply would be coming from the street up the front garden, asking this as thinking of knocking in metal posts for garden fence,
All of the other instructions are correct - for normal household 120V lights it should be 12-18 inches below ground (plus be sure to use a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) somewhere so if there is a problem it will be safe). A buried power line can be closer to the surface if it is not in a conduit because it is flexable.. so frost heaves will not affect it as much as rigid conduit. However, if you really want to go only 3 inches.. get a low voltage (12V) light for the post lamp, a voltage converter at the house and you can run the power line at 3 inches.
Q: i have a 99 T reg subaru impreza turbo 2000, i want to install my amps and subs myself and i undestand the principal of what i need to do i just cant seem to find any obviouse way of getting the wiring kit power cable from the battery to the inside of the car. can anybody help?
not sure about your car, but ford mustangs are a huge pain unless you drill a hole (i know, I cut myself many times trying to install a buddy's system), if your wires are small enough, you may be able to slip it through the firewall for a clean installation, if you dont care about a clean install, you can run it up the hood and in the door XD (a friend of mine did this as well, looked horrible, but I'm a fan of clean installs) I prefer to drill holes if I cant find a hole in the firewall big enough, but be careful where you drill, its unlikely but you may end up hitting something like the transmission, engine block, or something fragile. Hope this helps.
Q: specifically, I am using a router. I lost the original cable...can I use a different one?ThanksMatt
yes and no, you need to know what the device wants, you need to know whether its taking ac or dc power, polarity, and amps. amps is more for laptops, other appliances are usually dumber, and will ignore that. On a standard plug, the round one on the opposite end of the wall end, you need to know the polarity, some where on the adapter you should see a symbol like this +C- (now, that's the best I can do with ASCII characters) or backwards, -C+, this tells you whether positive currents(+) and negative currents (-) are on the inside or outside of the plug. you need to match that symbol with the one on your device. Next: on the adapter, it should say somewhere input: 120 V AC output: 12v DC the numbers will probably be different, but the input and output need to match. if your working with laptop adapters, if you didn't buy the adapter specifically for the computer, double check amps too, if your charging like, an mp3 player that uses the trapezoid usb plug off a Motorola Razor wall charger with the same plug, I don't know, I've tried, didn't work well, kind of worked I guess, I wouldn't recommend it.
