Some people don't consider them to be hard enough to be considered metal. Also, I think their fan base mostly consists of teens which is why other metal heads don't want to accept them as a metal band. I personally think they are though.

I thought hair metal was just the way you looked, with the big hair that looked like it could serve as a woman's hairdo. But guess theres more to it than that? So what is the difference between hair metal and just straight metal?

Bloodthirsty for Metal gave a great answer I guess I'll just sum up what I think: -It's more rapping with down-tuned guitars than actual metal -Most nu-metal bands just tried to copy Korn (the originators of this genre) rather than find their own sound, and hence most sound exactly the same -99% of all nu-metal lyrics revolve around teen angst, whining about how painful life is, more angst, and some more angst -Guitarists of this genre aren't particularly talented or innovative, in fact, I would say that they're completely untalented hacks: nu-metal guitar parts usually just consist of playing power chords on down-tuned guitars -Limp Bizkit, enough said

dont know too much about this but I know copper is a popular one, but now a days they are using light and fiber to communicate over wires. The phiber is encased with a mirror type material that is shetthed around the fiber and a light is sent trough the wire, the light bounces of the mirror coating until it reaches the other side. they use a serious of flashes, on/off of the light to communicate 0 1's as data down the phiober. then they use different frequencies of light so they can send multiple 0 or 1's down the fiber. Your bones are mostly made of water, carbon, and tons of other elements. Besides, if our bones were made out of Calcium we would fall apart because Calcium is a very soft metal. This question is like saying we are made out of 70% water, so why aren't we just a puddle of water.

Basically. Black Metal is largely based on satan - See Mayhem, Dark Funeral, Dark Throne. Death Metal is based on Death. - See Deicide, or Morbid Angel. Melodic Death is death but mixed into classical music or other melodic rhymes - See Opeth or In Flames Power Metal is music from the 80s, very fast and usually up beat. See Extreme, and newer, Dragonforce. Progressive Metal is more, unusual. Best thing i can advise on that is someone like Tool, or even Ghost Reveries from Opeth. Gore Metal is based on brutality, mutilation, murder and rape. See Cannibal Corpse, Decapitated, Incision or Exhumed. Industrial sounds electric, as if played by machines, check out Fear Factory or Static X. Heavy Metal is the basic from the 80s, just heavy, see Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Manowar. Thrash Metal is similar to heavy metal but faster and usually with more technical solo's. See Metallica, Slayer or Anthrax. Doom Metal is slow going, not much happens, see My Dying Bride. Gothic metal normally means Operatic vocals, check out Nightwish, Leaves Eyes, After Forever or others like that. Folk Metal is based main on Folklore, but i can't think of any specific bands, though you could put Arkham in there, who are H.P. Lovecraftian Metal. Viking Metal is just music based on Ancient Norsk. Most Black Metal bands include parts. The BEST kind of metal at the moment though, appears to only have 1 band, and thats pirate metal!!!! What makes something a metal by definition?

I have never heard of metal spacers. I have heard of metal expanders but they do something else. I had rubber spacers but they didn't hurt very much. Why do you want colour braces? You have to wear them longer than other braces. It's not really worth it. I'm sorry I don't know the price but I know they're expensive. Hope this helps :D
