- Q: is atom wheels a good brand?
- i'm not really sure; but i always thought that you couldn't change the major parts of laptops. so basically, what you get is what you're stuck with
- Q: Merrillas mountain bike how to look at wheel specifications.
- Tire surface is written
- Q: I left my 2006 Honda Odyssey EX minivan in the airport parking lot for a week, and when I returned the steering wheel was turned completely upside-down and was locked in that position. The wheels, however, are completely straight, just as they were when I parked the car. The battery is fine, but the steering wheel will not move from the upside-down position, and the key goes into the ignition, but will not turn. Help?
- turn the wheel even though its locked one way or the other while turning the ignition swtich the steering wheel lock has a load on it and turning the wheel that slight bit will unload it and let the key fully turn
- Q: hi guys, i just got some spitifre wheels like 2 months ago i‘d say. and i‘ve noticed that they starting to cone out a tiny bit. when would u say its time to get new wheels, and how far would they generally be coned out to when you need to replace them. in other words how badly should they be coned in order for them to need replaced. thanks guys!
- If they are coning, turn the wheels around, and swap them diagonally (for instance, front left wheel goes to bottom right, bottom left wheel goes to top right etc). This will make the coning gradually even out. The only time I replace my wheels is if they are flatspotted, becoming small, when they are all mangled up from skating on rough concrete, or just when I fancy a change.
- Q: I saw in a commercial a bike with three wheels, a single wheel in the front and two wheels in the rear, but the two rear wheels were at an angle. The tops of the rear wheels were close together and the bottom of the wheels were far apart. I hope this makes sense. Where can I get such a bike or at least get a picture of one? Thanks.
- Three wheeled bikes are called Adult bikes. They are wonderful and very popular in states with lots of seniors such as south Florida. We have even seen them with small motors. Most bike shops will order one for you. Check out any local shop.
- Q: what were the first cars wheels made of; why were they so skinny (like on steam cars). where they just iron or wood? perhaps they were solid rubber.
- The very earliest cars were little more than carts with engines. They were made by coach builders and the wheels were wooden, originally with iron tyres - which literally 'tied' the wooden spokes together - hence the name. Many early cars were also built with wire wheels, which resembled bicycle wheels. Wooden wheels often had solid rubber tyres - these were quite thin. Although pneumatic tyres were invented as early as 1888 by John Dunlop they were used for bicycles, and few early cars with bicycle-like wire wheels. Michelin experimented unsuccessfully with pneumatic tyres on an automobile in 1895, but it wasn't until 1911 that reliable tyres with inner tubes were developed. Wooden wheels with solid rubber tyres were still used on trucks and buses into the 1920s, and many cars had wooden wheels until around 1926, when welded steel and wire wheels came into vogue.
- Q: Ezekiel describes the four living creatures. Four winged, four faces. Below them, butt travels With them are described; The appearance structure of wheels. Sparkled like chysolite. A wheel intersecting a wheel, they did not turn about. butt had eyes all around [short] What is he describing ? A wheel within a wheel always going forward. etc. WHAT IS HE DESCRIBING ! ? Have toyed with this many times, and spoken to Priests and ministers. He describes as an ignorant man, unable to understand the complexity of what he is seeing ! ANY serious Input !WHAT IS HE DESCRIBING ! ?
- This was interesting: God is a God of ceaseless activity and yet He is always perfectly at rest. This is because His activity flows from His purposes in eternity where everything is already perfectly accomplished. The four living creatures had the likeness of a man. Man was made to reflect the purposes and glory of God in his activity. The four faces of the living creatures represent the four faces of man ( four purposes, direction or focus. ) The wheel beside each creature represents the particular activity associated with each of the four faces of man in the earth. The noise of the wings of each creature is first the activity in the spirit realm, and the noise of the wheels beside them is the corresponding activity in the natural realm. They are to work together, side by side, and not independently of each other. The wheels of activity are not meant to spin outside of My presence. My presence abides within the wheels of activity. It is only when My spirit lifts and you remain in your activity that the wheels spin out of control and produce nothing. I am the cog that is to spin your wheels. I am the wheel within the wheel. When My Spirit lifts, the wheels must lift with Me. Even your doings must be in My presence, and not just your times of waiting on Me. Nothing is hidden from His sight. The rim of each wheel is full of the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. ( Heb. 4:13 ) The Four Faces Man - Adam, son of earth. Natural responsibilities. Family obligations. Lion - Kingdom authority. Spiritual gifts and ministry. Ox - A man's labour. Eagle - The spiritual dimension of a man's life. Prayer.
- Q: First of all i live in Michigan, so the winters get pretty nasty.I want to get a 1994 Mazda miata, a little two seater convertible. This car is rear wheel drive and my dad wants me to get a front wheel drive car because he says its much safer during the winter. Is this true? And how much safer is it??
- If rear wheel drive is so bad, how did we survive? Nobody had FWD until Olds made the Toronado, and not very many of them were on the road, but we still made it everywhere we wanted to go. Why are most taxis and police cars RWD? Why is Pontiac going back to RWD? Why is Chrysler making more RWD? Why is Mustang still RWD. What about Mercedes, and most Volvos? The truth is FWD is no safer that RWD in the winter, it is all about having the right winter tires and knowing how to drive. That isn't to say some cars aren't better balanced for winter driving than others. The best winter driving car I have ever owned was a 1976 Mercury Bobcat wagon, RWD. A close second is a 1995 Escort, FWD. I have also driven full size RWD cars in winter without problem. I would suggest the Miata may not be the greatest winter car unless you plan on putting a good set of winter tires, like Michelin X-Ice, or something like that. Not because it is a rear wheel drive car, but because it is a small low car, built for open road handling. You cannot make a blanket statement that FWD is better or safer in winter, and if you believe that, you have not learned to drive in winter. FWD will get you going a little better up a slippery slope you have stopped on, that is the only real advantage, taking the same basic car, with the same tires, and the same driver skill set. I have driven well over a million and a half miles over 42 years, living in Edmonton, Saskatoon, and Winnipeg, I do know winter driving. I have never had an accident on ice, or in snow in all that time.
- Q: What kind of spokes give the strongest wheel strength? I notice most wheels have spokes that are just rods extending radially from the center. Is this generally as strong as it gets, or is this bc of fabrication limitations? What about arched spokes?Any suggestions or pointers as how I should get started in analyzing the strength of a wheel mathematically?
- keep this in mind.the spokes are working in tension not compression. Think about a bicycle. The weight of the bicycle and the rider are connected to the wheels at the axel (center of the wheel). The axel is pulling on the spokes that connect to the wheel above, not pushing down to the wheel below. An arched spoke would create more give. It would kind of act like suspenion.interesting way to accomplish suspenion.
- Q: if a car travels at 60 kmh and the wheels of the car are a radius of 400 mm, what is the rotational speed of the wheels? Thanks in advance.
- The angular speed is related to velocity by v w x r w (or omega) is the angular speed. Firstly, covert the speed of the wheels to m/s (60 000 m / 3600 s) The radius of the wheel is 0.4 m So, the angular speed is v / r in radians per second. I trust you can use a calculator to compute the value. Hope this helps.
