My last one had some lever that you just puch and your weight will lower it like hydralics, but this chair is different it dont have that lever the only thing it has is some type of knob that turn at the bottom. - Because the non-metal chair is a better insulator than the metal chair. It discourages heat from flowing out of your body moreso than does background air. The metal chair by contrast encourages heat to flow through it, and moreso than the background air. Except in very hot climates, your human body is hotter than the surroundings. You are accustomed to a typical amount of heat loss out of each area unit of your body, that you consider to be thermally neutral comfort. If that region of your body doesn't get to reject that amount of heat, that region feels warmer. If that region of your body to rejects more than that amount of heat, that region feels colder.
- Q: Should people who are over weight have to show proof of disability to use the electric wheel chairs ?? and do you think wheel chairs should be for people only who are realy sick with disability?
- Hummmm....do you think obesity is a disease? Has it given this person a real physical limitation in walking, say due to knee problems? Look I understand what you're taking about because I have to use a handi-cart at the larger stores and it really pisses me off when someone who appears to be using it only cause they have a fat butt is in the cart. BUT...on the other hand...it may be that person has an affliction that is not as apparent as mine. They may very well have heart problems or something more. Who is to say? I guess having an ID card would help, but I think most disabled people are tolerant of those obese folks using the carts for convenience. God knows we wouldn't use them if we didn't need to. I'm conflicted on this question...very interesting and gives me something to think about.

- Don't buy chairs, rent them. Because after your wedding is over, I doubt you'll need one-hundred-something white chairs. Besides, you'll save a lot of money that way. Try looking into local private party rental or wedding rental businesses. Usually chain stores sell for a lot more than private retailers, and a lot of times rental chairs go for bundle packs.
- Q: If handicap people in wheel chairs cant walk, how can they drive and use the pedals? is that even safe?
- Yes, it is safe. Most people in wheel chairs can drive and use the pedals exactly the same way as everyone else. Many of them either a) have full use of their feet (when sitting) and are in wheel chairs only because they cannot stand due to problems with parts of their body that you don't use to drive, or b) are in wheel chairs only because of problems with the left side of their body, but have automatically and perfectly functioning right sides, which is all that matters, because you are supposed to use only the right foot for the pedals in a car with automatic transmission. (When driving, the left foot is supposed to be used only for the clutch pedal, and cars with automatic transmission don't have one.) In the very, very rare cases where the person's handicap does affect their ability to use the pedals, they get special hand controls installed that do the same thing as the pedals, except that you don't need your feet to operate them.
