Q: I just recently had my floors changed from carpet to parquet (that wood-looking surface). It looks great but I don't want the chairs for my dining table to scratch it up. What can I put on the legs of the chair to keep it from making that scratchy noise and messing up the parquet (something that looks GOOD [no tennis balls please]): Several options from a full rubber tip to small felt pads on the bottom of the chair and table legs. Rubber boots are the best but they look gaudy.Felt pads come with a self stick side and you can get the in many sizes, so measure the leg bottoms before you go shopping . They are inexpensive so buy a few extra to have on hand. There are nylon tips you can apply buy these tend to scratch the floor. An area rug to fit under the table and 18 to 24 minimum bigger all around the table to allow chairs to go in and out, along with the proper anti slip mat under the rug. Q: My cat moogie sits in my chair and wont get off. when i try to pick up off my chair she bites me. why does she like my chair so much and what can i do so she wont sit on it?thanks: All you need to do is fill up an empty spray bottle with water. I had the same problem with my cat Nalah. Once you start to continually spray your cat when it gets in the chair she will get the hint that you want her OFF!!! The water bottle precedure works for all sorts of things like if your cat hops on the counters (which my cat does alot), or when your cat is acting up. My cat is very palyful she likes to run up behind me and pounce on my legs. She also likes to restle my hands which is painful because she has sharp teeth. just wip out your spray water bottle and you'll be fine Hope this helps!!

It is unclear whether it would be good or bad from the perspective of a disabled individual trying to get a new power wheelchair. In 2007 medicare paid out more than half a billion dollars for power wheelchairs - a number I'm sure has only grown over the past 2 years, so from a cash outlay standpoint it seems like it is a large enough line item for the government to try to enact cost saving measures that might impact your benefits. I think the best thing to do is to 1) get your power wheelchair now under the current rules if you don't already have one or replace your old one in case things do change, and 2) campaign for your right to a power wheelchair by continuing to do your best to be informed about the issue, make sure your friends and family are informed as well, and write to your representatives to make sure your voice is heard

How else can I improve my riding off-horse?: You can straddle a chair and practice rising up and down. This is of questionable usefulness for practicing posting because when you are on a horse, you are supposed to have the horse's action lift you out of the saddle (mostly). What doing it over a chair will help with is your thigh strength, and the feel of being balanced, with your heels under your hips. Overall, I don't think it will help you improve your riding very much, but if you're bored and wish you were riding, it can do no harm.
