Q: I have a rip in a vinyl chair. Anyone know of any glues or solutions that might work well to repair it?
Buy a leather and vinyl repair kit. Match the color of the leather to your chair then wipe the area you want to repair with a damp cloth. Dry it and put the vinyl repair glue. Next, apply grain paper to the rip area and press and hold. Then, you can decorate your chair with what exactly you want it to be.
Q: We just got a new kitchen table and chairs that have vinyl seats. I use plastic booster seats for my 3 children. Anyone have experience with this and know whether the seats will ruin the vinyl? I started using towels under them but it's a pain and I wonder if I really need to. Thanks!
They might, as dust, dirt and food debris gets between the booster and the chair cover. The moving around of the kids on the seats will grind those small bits between the plastic and vinyl and cause scratches. The best way to avoid this problem is to simply put a towel between the seat and seat cushion. You can use a kitchen towel or bathroom hand towel - it'll be small enough to be inconspicuous but large enough to cover the entire chair seat.
Q: where do you get the blue chair i have the normal chair but where do you get the BLUE chair
finish all the new leaf city quests then talk to the mayor.
Q: I am repairing one leg of a mortise ant tenon teak chair. The joint has come loose and I dont really want to take the whole chair apart to fix one leg. I know you are supposed to rub the joint with acetone before gluing in up. The problem with that is that I cannot do a good enough job of cleaning the wood as the mortise and tenon is just loose and there is no real way of taking it apart. My question, id there a way of getting the glue sufficiently in the joing without taking the chair apart. Secondly, what glue could I use that doesnt require rubbing the piece with acetone. Thanks
There is enough variety of projects in here, big and small, intricate and simple, and you can pick out new ones as you progress in your woodworking abilities. It’s a great feeling knowing you made something by hand. It’s always fun to show off your craftsmanship, and ladies love it too!
Q: I am looking for a comfortable, durable, and preferably affordable office chair to use for long hours of use. Any suggestions? Best answer goes to the person that provides me information of what I looking for. Thanks in advance.
I okorder / and I would highly recommend a commercial grade chair since you are using it for long periods of time. Look for something ergonomic (not just the word ergonomic but true feature). Look for seat depth adjustment, independent backrest, lumbar support and what type of foam they use. Molded injection is more durable and lasts longer, cut foam is softer but doesn't hold up as well. As for price you are probably looking at $250+ but should get a lifetime warranty and plenty of use from the chair average 8 years.
Q: I am having a very hard time finding a colorful desk chair that is able to spin and has arm rests for my room...If anyone can tell me a good place to look for one, or even links to a chair that would be great! =]Thank you!
here okorder /
Q: Okay,So if any of you have seen the 'True Life' episode(I Have Embarrassing Parents), I want my room to be like Niki's room..If you haven't, her room has a light blue color on the top part, white chair railing in the middle, and a brownish color on the bottom..My question is..Do you think that would look good?Do you have any pictures that match my description?I can't find any..Also, around how much does chair railing cost?Is it hard or easy to install, if I don't have it?Thanks.!
I okorder ... It seems that the full wainscoting would be harder to do that just the strip of wood. But it is a project and it would involve altering your space, so ask your parents about it. I think it would look nice but I would prefer this kind of thing for a dining room or bathroom since it cuts the wall space in half. I would think it would be kind of jarring in a bedroom.
Q: i need help i broke the chair that is wooden and we dont have any glue and im hoping that she doesnt find out b/c i would be very introuble and i need help on how to fix it
shove it back together as hard as you can and wait for her to sit on it and think she did it? or come clean just say... mommy i know your going to be really mad but i accidentally broke your chair, i will repay you someway at the end of the day shes your mom she'll still love you it is only a bit of wood! X good luck X
Q: My girlfriend bought an antique chair that is in good shape physically (needs no repairs) but the finish on it in places is worn off all the way down to the wood. She wants it painted white. So what would I need to do to strip off the remaining finish and paint it so that it will look good for a long time? Thanks in advance!
If the finish is not paint you need to strip it first. There are many nontoxic paint removers now but it is still a lot of work. With any fine detail which is common with antiques, paint removers are the only way to prepare the chair. You must be careful to get into all the crevices and get the paint/stain out. Then flush the remover (check the directions on the remover), allow to dry, seal the wood with the appropriate sealer for the paint you will use(see the paint can directions for the proper sealer) then paint. If it is already painted all you need to do is to sand smooth any rough spots, scuff sand the rest of the piece, making sure you do all the detail areas. Prime and paint. If there is any fabric on the chair you must remove it first, you can not paint around it.
Q: In the clubs and stuff there are like huge couch like things and obviously the chairs connect to make it, right?I have looked several times, but I can't find them in buy mode. This is the only picture I could find in like 5 minutes lol.
Ok these chairs are only available if you are building a club or community lot. If you select build buy on a community lot, go to chairs and then 'miscellaneous comfort' (the three dots) and its about the third one, its Burgundy and its called 'dive seating'. You can probably download it from a site so that you cn use it on residential lots. Hope this helps!
