Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q: anywhere to find cheaper rugs?
try okorder
Q: What is the best way to remove cat vomit stains from carpet?
try woolite foaming carpet cleaner. my cats used to throw up alot, especially when they were like kittens
Q: Is rubber mat needed for the carpet's stitching?
You can fix it with a carpet glue, which can save the cost. The effect of rubber mat is mainly focusing on foot feeling and moisture proofing.
Q: carpet seems to be deteriorating and flying in air..manufacturerer says it is not from their carpet. By using wet sponge, I collect specimens from around edges of carpet that are the color of the carpet and look like wet cardboard.
Good heavens, that's strange. Did you buy this carpet yourself, or was it already there? Do you know what the material is? I have lived in five houses with wall-to-wall carpeting and have never, ever seen that. If you can't find out what the material is on the phone, then take a piece of it to Home Depot or a specialty carpeting store or someplace like that and get some help. If you have major problems with this, I would call your local television news station and get them interested in a faulty product story. This might pressure the carpeting manufacturer to pay some attention to your issue. One final note though: whoever owned the carpet before you might have applied some kind of product to the carpet which is causing its detioration. Good luck.
Q: I already have carpet in my house. The carpet is less than a year old.I was thinking of changing the (top)carpet only since the padding is still in excellent condition but our family says to just get our floor laminated.which is cheaper?
I like answer #3. This is also my experienced preference. I always seek out a good supplier, for rubberized vinyl floor covering. this stuff is expensive if one does not have contacts in the surplus industry. I have no flooring concerns with this stuff. It is as tough as a conveyor belt.
Q: What's the fire rating of nylon carpet?
Fire rating can be divided into A, B1, B2, B3 four grades; A non combustible materials, B1 refractory materials, B2 combustible materials, B3 flammable materials.
Q: does anyone know of a home remedy to get rid of carpet stains? Please help! Thank u!!
mix equal parts water and borax and scrub.. or vinegar water does a good job as well..
Q: My cat is 2 1/2 yrs old and I've had him since he was 6 months old. Within this past couple of months he started pooping for some reason on one of my kitchen rugs. I've tried everything to correct this. I've used Nature's Miracle, Vinegar, other pet odor removers, put food in the spot so he would avoid the area, and not only changed litters but changed to scoopable. NOTHING has helped!! At first changing the litters seem to help and I scooped it out every couple of days. My only other choice is to scoop it out every day and/or put him in a cage for a week all day long with his own litter to try and break the habit. Other than that I feel I've run out of options! HELP...I'm at my wits end!!!
ok so either you could use a different pet repellent on the carpet or try something on the carpet that cats dont like on their paws... so they dont like walking on foil or rocks. also try a sound machine to scare them. I've had a toy that when it sensed motion it scared the cat away. also to encourage your cat to use the litter box you can move his poop to the litterbox.
Q: How do I avoid over-charge by the carpet company as a reuslt of over-measure the room size? I have two rooms, room I is 10'6'' by 29'2quot;. Room II size is 11'8quot; by 12' 10quot;, with a closet size 7' by 2'4quot;. The carpet comes in width of 12'. How many sq ft do I need to order the carpet for room I and room II? For room I, the carpet size, without adding any buffer space for edge trimming, is 12' * 29'2quot; = 356 sq ft. For room II, the carpet size, without adding any buffer space for edge trimming, is 12' * 12'10quot; = 154 sq ft. The room II closet is 12 * 2'4'' = 28 sq ft. How many add'l sq ft do I need to add to allow buffer for trimming in each room? ThanksSM
I spent 3 years being a flooring specialist and the carpet company should be willing to sit down with you and show you the different ways you can place your carpet. You will be purchasing the entire width x the length you need. Seeing how both of your rooms will work with a 12' carpet seeming shouldn't be a question. Seams at closet doors are common and acceptable. In general you can figure about a 5 to 10% waste-in your case 5% probably is more than adequate. There isn't a whole lot of extra needed for trimming purposes because carpet is streched when it is installed. I don't think I have ever sold more than one linear foot of extra unless there are doorways or seriously uneven walls to consider. Home Depot and Lowes will give you a copy of their measure and cut sheet as do most carpet companies. If they aren't willing to show you exactly what you are buying-don't buy.
Q: I have white carpet and after years of living we have accumulated many stains throughout the house. It always looks dirty! I own a carpet shampooer and use it frequently but a week later the stains resurface and it all looks yucky again. Do you have a good stain pre-treater for me? Or any other suggestions?
Carpet Spot Removal Cleaning a carpet is simple if you act quickly to remove stains. If you wait, you're giving the stain a chance to further embed itself into the fibers. When cleaning carpet stains, never rub at the spot. Not only will this cause the carpet fibers to weaken, and perhaps create a worn area, but it will also cause the stain to spread and penetrate deeper. If your stain disappears and comes back again, your carpet is a victim of wicking. (Wicking is when liquid that has pooled around the bottom of a carpet works it's way back up the fibers to the top.) To prevent this, cover the stain with a thick towel and weigh down with a heavy object such as a book or a brick..:)
