Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

- it does for some people. people learn diffrently so what mite hep some one may or may not help you. you should definitly try it. it never really work for me but i know people that it has helped and my point is proven by the two answers above me

- Q: Our dog chewed up a decent size chunk of carpet in our rental townhome. There is chunk pulled out and stripped about 6 inches from the wall in a corner. We live in a rented townhome so I know we're gonna take a hit to repair or replace it. My question is, can this possibly be repaired by cutting a portion out and just patching it with matching carpet? I know that the right people can make the seam pretty unnoticeable. Or, do you think they'll make us pay to replace the whole carpet?
- Depends on the type of carpet that was installed. Some apts have a cheaper grade carpet in them and some times you just can t make a repair not show . Even a good seam job it may show because getting the exact same carpet you ll have a different dye lot and that sticks out worse than a bad seam. Even if you have a left over scrap pc the installed carpet can be dirty, ( even a cleaning won t get it back to the exact same) sun faded or even worn. This will all depend on the LL and what he/ she will accept.But be prepared to have to replace the carpet.If you have renters insurance , check into that. GL

- Try and get the owner to replace the carpet or at least pay to have it professionally cleaned. Do-it-yourself steam cleaners do not work nearly as well as the professional cleaners can get it. if all that fails, go rent a Rug doctor and do it yourself, but like I said it will not work as well. Also, try and find out if there is a particular location for the smell as it could be mildew or something like that in a certain area of the apartment. you could even have a leaky pipe causing it to smell bad. BTW, if this is a basement apartment, it might be a damp smell from being underground.
- Q: i got probably the worst rug burn ever! it broke the skin in two main places. i bled a bit and it stayed red for hours its two days later and my skin around my eye (where i got it) is turning this really sick shade of brownish green. my dad said it'll turn into a bruse and go away after about a week and a half. please dont tell me this is true because i have my senoir pictures to take and i already made the appointment. i made the date for next wensday.

There is that this one who I like, the lady is going through the wall fairly bent over with the fellow doing her from in the back of. If she does love it on her knees she will do what i did, purchase a gentle silk thick blanket that wont harm the knees. I discovered a fine one at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
- Q: I am about to buy new carpeting for the family room. The current carpeting is pretty regular carpet, although I don't know what the technical details are. The problem is that my son gets so upset because his toy cars and trains don't roll very well on the carpet and he tends to try to put them on tables, etc. or the hardwood. - Is it a playroom or is it your adult family room? That makes a difference. It shouldn't be both. His room however is a different story. In his room put in carpet squares that are flat and can be removed and replaced as necessary. In your adult family room the carpet is your choice and not your sons. Every room in your home is not dedicated to what your son needs but what you need as an adult. Having children does not mean that every room in your home is dedicated to what they need. You have to have an adult living space that has nothing to do with children. Give him what he needs in his own room and nothing more.

- Simple cleaning will not work.......We have a three year old Soft Coated Wheaten and when she was little had or share of accidents. Here is what we did.....I have a small shop vac that will let me clean liquids. so....I would clean up either type then put fresh water on it and vacuum it....then at any pet store they have spray cleaners with special enzymes that wipe out the odor.....that is important for two reasons..the first is for your own well being to keep your house from stinking and the second...remember dogs have very very sensitive noses....it removes the scent which prevents the dog from going back to the same area and thinking that since there are odors there this must be the spot to pee or poop.. The shop vac is important because urine soaks into the carpet and padding and the vac lets you flush a bunch of it out. I love dogs but when they are being potty trained they are a P I T A.....which means Pain In The A...... Regards

- You may be able to but it will depend on exactly what type of pad it is. Check 1 st with the place your buying the carpet from. There is a good possibility that there is no carpet warranty if pad isn t replaced. It will depend on what you have down now. If this is a rebond pad of 6# or more you should be able to use it. If its a cheap foam pad , I can bet you won t get a warranty and really shouldn t use it. Any questions you can e mail me through my avatar. GL
- Q: my son just spilled 18 litres of paint on his bedroom carpet - I have scooped up what I can but there is obviously a massive paint puddle on the carpet - it is emulsion (non-oil based) - and suggestions?
- First, call the manufacturer of the paint. There should be a number on the can itself. They may be able to recommend a better idea than I'm about to. But I suspect they'll tell you what I'm about to say. So long as the paint is still wet, and it is water-based paint, you can clean it up with soap and water. To know if it's water based paint, look on the label. Under clean up it should say water, or soap and warm water or similar. The thing is, you don't want to soak the carpet, so don't just dump soapy water on it. Instead, get a bucket full of soapy water, and a sponge, and dip the sponge into the water, then use it to remove some paint. Repeat, getting new soapy water as needed. Actually, your son needs to be cleaning this, under your supervision. So get him going. This is going to be a lot of work, because that is a huge amount of paint. How in the world did he spill that much? Why did he even have that much open at once? His spill - he needs to do the clean up. If you have the cash, the easiest thing is to rip out the carpet and get new.
