3) What is the difference of Wilton Carpet and Axminster carpet

Wilton carpet, like Axminster carpet, is woven. However the difference between the two methods is the way in which the carpet is woven. Whereas the Axminster yarn is woven into each weft and then cut to the required pile height and then reinserted when that colour is needed again –the Wilton carpet yarn is a continuous strand woven all the way through.

Q: Does anyone know of any places in Detroit or areas around Detroit that sell carpets or rugs at wholesale or discount prices?

Q: So last night i was painting my nails and i got some nail polish on my carpet and i cant get it out. Please help.
Acetone might, but then again, it might damage the carpet too. A pro can safely remove the stain without causing damage.
Q: I have two area rugs that need cleaned. They aren't stained, just a bit dingy looking from my lab laying on them. One is a jute type rug, 8x10, and the other is a mixed type blend 7x9, it does have some wool in it. I was just wondering if I could use my hand held steamer, I have a Shark Steamer, to clean these? Will it hurt them?If I do this, what should I use with it, just water or some kind of carpet cleaner, etc?
I have an iron that has that feature for vertical steaming, and it works very well. It delivers a lot of steam (using the powerful blast of steam button). I was surprised at how effective it is, as long as you don't place the soleplate too close to the fabric, particularly if there is synthetic fibre in the material. I also had one of the larger steamers, but I think the iron with the steamer feature works better than the other one. The brand is by T-fal, and the link below shows it (mine was on sale, much lower than the price shown):
Q: I'm taking on a rescue horse that my friend rescued. He has rainscald and I was wondering when turning him out should I put a rug on him? Because there so many diffrent answers also can you put louse powder on them? Also he ginger and I need a name really want it to be unqui :) thanks
ugh rainrot as i call it sucks:( My horse got it really bad one time, i agree with the below answer i would not put a rug or blanket over him the scabs need to dry out and get air to them a rug would just keep in all the mositure in. There are types of shampoo and cleaning supplies that are ment for that. While he has the rainscald i would highly recommend keeping him in a stall or barn if it is raining out, water getting to it will only make it worse. If it is a nice sunny day let him out so the sun can get to it and dry it out, once the scabs are dried out you can try brushing him to see if any loose ones will fall off, it will just take some time and attention before they all go away. best of luck!
Q: What can i do to make the bumps go away? i tried vacuuming and that works until i put the table on top of the rug. Help?
Just lay it out on the floor. In a couple days it will be smooth.
Q: We have pets, and my dog had an accident on my rug. I trusted that the Bissell Carpet Cleaner and the spray that comes with it (quot;Fiber Cleansingquot;) would clean it. Instead, it made this grease like stain. I tried using Dawn and after scrubbing for hours the stain remained the same. Any suggestions on getting rid of it?I'm extremely mad and want to contact Bissell, but I would like to see if there's some effective way of removing the stain. And also, what do I do about it if I can't remove the stain? Should I write a letter or an email, and if so, what do I say or demand?
woven rug Is this a hand made rug? If so the colors may have run. As for Bissell, I have used their products for years and never had a problem. Of course, i read the warnings and disclaimers like test on a small area first. These machines were designed for standard carpeting. I know you don't want to hear this, but if this is a hand made rug, the fault is yours.
Q: I recently had new carpet installed in my home, and I was confused that the name of the color I picked out at the showroom was called quot;Fawn's Leapquot;, but 3 weeks later when the installers arrived, the tag on the carpet roll was named quot;Creston Winter Minkquot;. I called the carpet store and asked them if this was the same carpet I picked out since it seemed a bit lighter in color. They assurred me that it was the same carpet, and that the factory that made it uses that name, whereas the store uses the other for generic purposes. I kept a swatch to compare later on at the showrroom. But is this common with the carpet industry?
theres 2 scenarios that fall into play here.1st- the carpet mills produce the carpet in large lots, some mills give their product a name others a number.carpet distribitutors and stores are able to give carpets whatever name they like, hence the reason you go to home depot w/ a lowes name and you cant find the name but the exact carpet. for example: my carpet distributor has a product line made by shaw mills, called apt +2, but its the only place to find that name. a store that i worked for dealt w/ masiland mills , almost everything that came from that mill had a store given name like the owners sons nickname for example. it makes it seem like that carpet is exclusively made for that store, also, not all dyes are mixed the same way giving a variance in dye lot (the difference between your swatch and the sample. 2- worst case, you picked out a carpet and the store you bought it from found a comparable piece for less money and ordered that thinkin you wouldn't notice the difference and they put even more money in their pocket. go back to that store and see if they have a rug by the name you got and not ordered, if so check the price if different i would seek legal retribution
Q: How many carpet types do you recommend?
The colors of the carpet are red, blue, green, yellow, purple, brown, and various colors. The color of the fiber determines the shape of the carpet.Exhibition carpet varieties: flat, stripe, laminating, brushed and flame retardant.
Q: I cannot for the life of me find the rugs in sims 2. I've seen some other answers here that say things like quot;decorations, rugs, put it on the floor.quot; well obviously if I am having to ask, I'm not able to follow those instructions as easily as you. Call me retarded or what you want, but all I see under decorations is plants, sculptures, wall hangings, mirrors, and curtains. So if someone could give me a real answer instead of some sarcastic bs, that would be great. Thx.
I just opened my game to see where the rugs were and they are here: Buy Mode Decorative Under Decorative as you already said there are the sub-categories plants, sculptures, wall hangings, mirrors, curtains, then rugs, then an icon that has 3 little buttons that is the sub-category miscellaneous, then next to that an icon that looks like a figure 8 on its side that represents the sub-category 'All'. Can you see MISCELLANEOUS and ALL? It is possible that the sub-category 'rugs' only appeared after I installed a certain expansion pack. I'm not sure as it's nearly 5 years since I just had the original game on its own. But if that is the case, and 'rugs' only got its own icon sub-category after EA released certain expansion packs, then I would guess that if you have the base game with no expansions rugs would either show up under DecorativeMiscellaneous or DecorativeAll. There are only 2 or 3 rugs that I can say for certain came with the base game- this is maybe why they didn't originally have their own sub-category, would hardly have been worth it for only a couple of items. And custom rugs will nearly always show up under DecorativeMiscellaneous. This is because they are hardly ever cloned from Maxis rugs, which are very boring.
Q: hi there, i just purchased a yoga dvd (to do at home), and i was wondering if it can be done on carpet (as my whole house is carpeted!) will it be bad to do it on carpet? if it is
Carpeting can be too soft and slippery, and using yoga mats on carpet can be problematic because they tend to bunch up and are often feel too “squishy”. If you’re experiencing these problems then you might be interested in the LifeBoard. But my advice is that it is not good to practice yoga by seeing dvd or something like that. Better to praise under the guidance of a guide. :)
