To supply this power, am I supposed to connect the 6 pin to 2x 4 pin molex power cable to each of the 16amp rails from my power supply therefor providing 32amp? How am I supposed to get 22amps to the card?Most all power supplies I see that are dual railed go no higher than 20amp per rail.Any thoughts? Thanks,Brad: If you already have a 6 pin then your good to go. The 2x 4pin molex connectors are for the case if you didn't have the 6pin. The rails on a PSU are not independant, they are combined. Look for the maximum loading of your PSU.

Q: I'm about to order everything to put a new sound system in my Jeep Wrangler and I've been planning the locations to run new wires and cables. I got to looking at the area's where I could run the power cable for the amp and have come to 2 conclusions. I could either drill a hole in a very difficult to reach but hidden area behind the dash and try to hide the cable on the interior of the Jeep all the way to the rear where the amp is.. or, I could run the cable inside the hollow frame rails (which have many pre-drilled holes to slip the cable in and out of) under the Jeep and then just drill a hole to the interior in an easy to reach location near the amp. My only concern is that the cable's insulation will breakdown and crack prematurely due to exposure to water and road salts.. is this a real risk if I run the cable on the exterior of the vehicle? Or will the cable hold up just as well as any other cable such as those in the engine compartment? Thanks for your help!: Keep it inside. Run it under the sill plates and carpet (or rubber flooring). If you put it outside and it wears through the insulation (for what ever reason, elements, chaffing) it could cause a serious problem, even a fire, as it would be directly to the battery.

If you intend to use 110 make sure the mixer is switchable. If it is there will be a switch for the two different voltages. Some are made to work either way but the switch need to be in the proper position to avoid damage from either to much or not enough voltage. I work for a sound company and sometimes we get sent stuff wired for over seas. Some times it has to be exchanged because it isn't switchable. You need to contact Mackie and make sure you get the right cable. I'm sure they have a toll free number and web support. You may need to exchange the mixer.
