- Q: I have downloaded nokia PC suite.but my Pc is not recognising the data cable.
- Check via another USB port and see if it works. If that does not help, switch on the bluetooth of the phone, go to PC Suite and try connecting via bluetooth (if your pc is also bluetooth enabled). Also check if other devices are working when connected via the USB. Otherwise you will have to download and install Nokia PC Suite again and check if you have compatible software for 3500. I have had problems with PC Suite before and after fiddling with connectivity, I tried to reinstall it and it worked. This was for 6600. I used the CD that was given in the box. Hope this helps.

- I'm guessing that the Vista transfer cable is nothing more than what's known generically as a Crossover or Null Modem cable. It has nothing to do with Vista, Windows 7 or any other operating system. In fact, it will work with ANY two computers that have Ethernet ports. Could probably work to transfer between a Windows computer and a Mac, even. Hope that helps.

- I've had that happen before. I have also received a message about the power to the USB port. If you haven't already reboot the pc then reinstall following the instructions. You may be missing a step or you plugged up the phone prior to the completion of the install.

- What you need to do (this is easy) is get an sd or micro SD card for the phone, insert that into the slot, and then connect the usb cable. Even though the cable is attached to the phone, you're really syncing to the card, and you don't need a driver for that. Youy may have to then go into the phone settings and look for something like USB mass storage (the phone might offer to do this when you connect). The SD card will show up on your windows explorer as a removable drive. You can then copy to it as you would to a directory on the HD or a flash drive (explore the card first, you may need to copy to specific folders). This sounds harder than it really is - bit you'll soon find this more practical than iTunes because you're not using a specific piece of software that (among other things) limits your ability to copy FROM the device to your computer. I've been doing this for years since I got a Verizon Voyager about 2 years ago (since replaced). Doing it this way, I can watch videos, look at pictures and listen to mp3 files on my phone. Best of all, when you replace your phone, you can just take the card out and put it in your new phone - no need to copy them again.

- What are you trying to do with the phone? I just got a Samsung SGH A737 phone myself, and found that the easiest way for me to get pics and ringtones to it was to buy a separate micro SD card and copy file to it from my computer using the SD slot on the tower of the computer itself. Go to the Samsung website and they tell you what accessories are available for your phone after you register it. My phone has a 2 GB card in it, and most SD cards come with the adapters to use in the MMC/SD slot.

- ok, I know this isn't an answer but does Mac (mind you I don't use one) even use usb data cables? Maybe you need to download from LG the software to your mac so it can recognize your phone when it is plugged into the usb.
