- Q: I have a monitor which has a input rating of 100-240V and a 1.5A current. But I have a cable which gives out 250V and a 10A current.... The cable plugs into my monitor with no problem and it turns on just fine. But is it fine?
- Yes its fine. Your monitor draws maximum of 1.5A current. And you say your cable can bear 10A current.
- Q: Can anyone help? my pc wont turn on without them hooked up.
- You will need to look up the motherboard manufacturer to find the pinout for the cabling. That would be the fastest way. or you could use a small flat screw driver to short the pins until you find the right combo...the latter could result in damaging your mainboard but not likely. You will need to look at the original case plug if possible. HP/Compaq do not list the pinout nor is it written on the board. all it it listed as is HPanel1.
- Q: I lost the power cord and USB cable to my HDD case. The company of the case is Intex. On a sticker is says, Intex HDD Case T-350 SA.This was posted a long time ago by someone, but it's the only place I can find the photo.Serious answers only please, I'm not asking if I should get a new one. I just want to know the information on the power cord and cable.
- It's a regular USB 2 cable. No idea what sort of power it takes. Can't be a very special power though. Your best bet is to get one of those switchable supplies from Radio Shack and try the voltage one at a time until the drive works. If you go under the drive won't run, so you can't do it that way if you start low and move higher.
- Q: Hi my new computer's new power supply supports voltage from 100V - 240V. But the power cable's plug that came with it does not fit my country's. My country runs on 240V and the power cable that came with it says 10A 125V on it, and I THINK it's an U.S plug.So should I be getting a new power cable with higher max voltage or just a adapter so that the plug will fit?
- if you have a computer that is made to run on lower voltage and you use a different power cord or adaptor to run a higher voltage you going to blow it up. Call the computer manufacturer and see if it is compatible to higher voltage first.
- Q: What is the parallel use of the power cable
- Do not know what you want to ask? What about your situation? Normal or pregnant? Normal this radiation does not affect what, if it is pregnant, this is far away from the best. Pregnancy is most needed to stay away from the microwave!
- Q: I have been given a Toshiba flat screen tv - the product type is 20VL44G however the power cable has been lost. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement from as I have Googled this and cannot find anything? I am in the UK, thank you all.
- check the specs on the back of the tv. There could be some listings such as vdc or volts... or something like/close if not 20-Zoll/51cm call a tv repair person. but now that I'm looking at a pic of this square tele... are you sure that it isn't a self-powered tv?
- Q: I've got everything connected to my motherboard, but cant start up my computer until i get these small cables connected to my motherboard. I just want to start up my computer. I've got the cpu in, the cpu fan, ram, speaker, hard drive, floppy etc.. How do i fit the cables in the question above, in the right order so my computer will start. I believe they go into the USB and PANEL on my motherboard.thank you
- Not enough info. But from what you wrote, the only one you need to connect to get the mainboard started is the Power SW. All others are indicator or I/O. The Power Switch cable is not polarized but the LEDs are. LEDs need the +/- in the right direction. Be very careful on the USB connections or you could burn up a USB device. They are critical. You should have a manual if the mainboard is new. If it's used, look around on the surface of the board for a manufacture and model number. Then type it into google and see if you can find an on-line manual.
- Q: Whenever I unplug the power cable, the laptop starts to lag, bad, and yes I do have a fully charged battery. This has been happening ever since I got the thing, and no it has nothing to do with the battery, and no matter how many times I re-plug the cable and take it out again, or just leave it in, it continues to lag. The only time it stops is when I reboot, at least until I unplug it again. Also, it has nothing to do with the performance battery plan. Any ideas? This is really annoying.
- Do you mean lag as in a slow OS. Well- Where is your SPEEDSTEP set at in your BIOS? You may have 3 or 2 settings which ARE affected when your Cable Power is removed it will go to a Bit Slower Processor Speed to prolong the battery. If after you change the settings in BIOS and it does this again, its likely need to be sent back for repair under Warranty as this is NOT Normal...
- Q: I found a box of power cables that I could use to hook up my PC and I know some of them were for old CRT monitors. Is it safe to use any of them? I'm not sure which one actually came with the monitor.
- From what I can tell, all of the monitor power cables are exactly the same. I don't see any reason why they wouldn't work or why it would be unsafe. As long as it fits easily into the LCD and plugs into your power supply then it should be just fine. (P.S. I've used old power cables on newer models before when I lost a cable once)
- Q: If you look at a power line it is hanging down in the middle why is that
- Short answer: gravity Medium answer: the cable is longer than the distance between the poles and gravity pulls it into that familiar shape. Long answer: you can actually find the shape the cable takes by using the calculus of variations. I'll update my post a bit later (I'm a little busy at the moment). EDIT: Haha, it seems your question can be read in 2 ways.
