- Q: Hey guys, I am currently trying to figure out how the hell to get images from my samsung t429 to my computer. Alright, they are downloaded images in my files folder. Not photos taken with my phone. I was hoping I could use a data cable to transfer the files over. Can I transfer those downloaded images using a usb data cable? Or is there another way. - I can see that the cable is working but your phone may not support mass storage. This is why it does not show up as a drive. You should download the PC Suite and it should be able to communicate with your phone. The software will come together with your phone on a CD.

- If you just want to connect 2 computers, with nothing in between (routers, switch, hubs etc), then you need a crossover cable. It's looks like a standard network cable, but the wires are switched around at the ends. I don't remember the exact configuration, but it's not really important. Just go buy one. Ask a non-stupid looking salesperson to help you find one.

- USB Data cable is the easiest and least expensive. My cell phone does not have blue tooth, and I do not want to spend the extra money for internet service. You can email the pics to your phone if you use email, or the cable works as if you are adding another drive to your computer, (plug and play as mentioned), and you can just drag the files from one to the other. It takes practice, but very simple once you do it a few times. OKorder has them very cheap if you are not in a hurry. Good luck.

- Yes, you can but it ill be slower. I suggest you use a crossover cat5 cable instead. But you have to configure something. Better burn it in a DVD then transfer it, or use a big USB flash drive
