- Q:I am purchasing a nokia6682 cell phone. I need a datacable to transfer the TALKS program from my computer onto the phone. There are two data cables that work with the nokia6682. I can't find out what the difference is between them. they are:ca-53 USB data cable for nokia 6682 with CD.OEM USB data cable BKU-BKU2 for nokia6682 The OEM is more expensive, but does not have a CD with it.Help is appreciated!!!
- OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer, which means it came from Nokia. They are probably both functionally identical.
- Q:I have just bought a new laptop, and I was going to get a data transfer cable, but I was wondering if the cable can be used to transfer applications like Veoh TV as well.
- You cannot transfer, copy or move installed applications from one computer to another. If you would only move the folder containing the application's files, it would not work as registry entries and such would be missing still. You will simply need to install the application on your new computer as well.

- If you get a data cable for the phone to link to a computer, you can download the software from sony ericsson's websiteunder the 'support' section. All mobile phones manufacturers provide software downloads, esp. for different operating systems.

- If you know where the expensive ones are, just look elsewhere for similar ones! I'm not QUITE sure if you can do this, but if you could connect the two computers and mount one of them as a drive on the other, wouldn't a standard, cheap USB cord work?

- It shouldn't make any difference, and you can't hurt anything by guessing. You could accidentally mess up the boot sequence, in which case you can change the boot order, or just switch the cables.

- No, a data transfer cable will not work in this situation. You can copy all your data on a flash drive and move it over using that. I'm not sure if the slim supports the older memory cards, if so, that would work too.
- Q:I am not sure how to explain this without a picture, but the data cable that is connected to my phone seems to have 3 ends to it.One to the phone itself, and 2 other plugs.I know one of the 2 goes into the wall jack, but where does the other one go.?And is it ok to leave the other one unplugged.?Does that create any problems if I use a DSL filter with that 1 plug not used?
- Dsl filter should be used in-line with the wall jack and phone. Using it on an unused line would not do nor will it cause any problems. As for where the other one goes, you would have to trace that cable from one end to the other. A normal phone cable would have 2 - 3 pairs in it for plain phone lines. A normal data cable would have 4 pairs in it. Both normally would have 1 end on each end. Custom ends can be made for some applications. I have made a few for testing purposes and even using it for RCA audio for my pc speakers.
