- Q: A stuntman drives a car (without negative lift) over the top of a hill, the cross section of which can be approximated by a circle of radius R 227 m. What is the greatest speed at which he can drive without the car leaving the road at the top of the hill?
- If they have the correct scanner it will work, all OBDII ports are supposed to be standard
- Q: ok so i just replaced my heater core cause i wasnt getting heat. now when i drive my car takes forever to heat up (engine) and once it does it drops back down. then heats back up ect the guy that fixed it said that there will be air pockets in the cooling system until i work them out, could this be it??also i only get really hot heat when i am idle and keep the rpms up. soon as i let go of gas the heat cools back down.
- placed the vehicle in park and permit it run. turn the a/c on and make certain the radiator fan is working. each and every each and every now and then while your fan is going out, your engine will run cool on a similar time as the vehicle is moving, yet gets warm while basically idling. There are in basic terms a magnificent style of issues that could flow incorrect while it is composed of your engine staying cool. If there's no water, it must be your radiator,water-pump, freeze plugs, or hose leaking. in case you have water and it is overheating, it must be your fan is going out, or your thermostat. This covers ninety 9% of maximum coolant gadget issues human beings come upon.
- Q: I am around 3-4k upside down on my vehicle. I have 4 years left on the loan. Should I sell and pay off the negative equity or should I keep the vehicle for the remainder of the loan and put that 3-4k towards the principal and cut 1.5 years off the loan payment?
- I can't answer you, but I can give you some questions to think about. Maybe some will help you decide. If you sell, will you have to buy another car? If so, unless the next car is worth much less than this one, you're probably better off keeping this one, and doubling up on the payments. Do you have enough cash to pay the $3-4K so that you're no longer upside down? Then it's up to you - do you feel better having the cash in the bank to act as a cushion, or can you put it somewhere that will earn more than the interest costs you for the loan? Only you can make that call. As a general rule of thumb - if you can't pay the vehicle off in 3 years, you can't afford it. The next time you buy a car, either come up with more for a down payment, or make bigger payments, or get a cheaper car.
- Q: Hello everyone. First, I don‘t like and never have liked to work on cars. I guess that is the reason I don‘t know anything about them. I have a 2002 Chevy Avalanche North Face edition. I want to lift it between 6-8. I want some really bad *** tires, mud-like, with black rims. What size of rims would I need as well with what size of tires? I want to be able to buy the rims and tires before I get the lift. What ever answer you all give me, I would like to know why, so that way I learn little. Thank you all.
- Just visit the tire shop. It would be wise to do the LIFT FIRST!!!!!!!! The wheels/tire combo may not fit due to either getting a cheap low end lift kit the tires you already bought dont fit. I suggest you take it to a Off Road shop in your area but the tires come after the lift since you have to make sure what you get fits after the lift is done or go to a off road joint that knows what they are doing they can recommend the wheels as well as the lift kit
- Q: I‘m trying to find a kayak rack where one person can lift their large 2 person kayak onto their car and lower it very easily. Is there such a thing? This is specifically for a toyota camry. Thanks!
- Thule rack systems makes the Hullavator that flips over the side, you attach the kayak and then slide it up to the roof. Check their website for details. There is also a product I believe is called a HullRoller (or maybe Kayakroller) that also doubles as a kayak cart for dragging the boat to the water. It mounts to the back of the roof and allows you to roll the boat up onto the roof rack from the rear. It does work better on vans and wagons, though, so you would be better off with the Thule contraption. I like the Thule J-racks, too, as they make it easy to point one end of the boat into the cushioned notch and then rotate the other end up to the second bracket. They are a lot cheaper than the Hullavator
- Q: I have a 2005 Honda element that I would like to lift up about 3 and everyone keeps telling me its impossible. Well I know anything is possible, especially with a car, so any one know for sure?
- Sure you can lift an Element, but at a substantial cost of about $1000/inch. We build SCCA Pro Rally cars, and I can personally tell you that it is not worth the effort and money. The only reason to lift an Element is to put larger tires on it, and by doing this you will need more HP, which the Element does not have to turn the larger tires.
- Q: im planning to by a 97 mazda and am 17 w/ a permit for $2200. I need some precationary tips and explanations so i dont get played like a fool here, so can you guys help me out? Like when you buy a used car, what are the main things you look for in the car? and, what are some steps you take? like would a carfax report be enough or does it have to be a mechanic? thanx
- Test drive, and or have amechanic inspect the car yo uwish to buy in order to detect any issues with it. Obtain a Bill of Sale from the seller. It is your recepit. Obtain the Title from the seller. Got to the DMV and pay registration and taxes. The DMV will take the old title from you and issue you a new one in your name. Wallah!
- Q: Lifting machine of the four - column lift product features
- lifting capacity of 3.5 tons.
- Q: I am looking for someone who installs power chair car lifts in Connecticut.
- no it was boring! BOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Q: I just bought a 07 toyota tacoma and im looking to put a lift on it. Whats the difference Between a suspension lift and a body lift? Pros and Cons? Also would a 6" lift be too tall/unstable for my daily transportation? Thanks.
- 6 isn't too tall/unstable, but it is pointless on a small 'truck'. A body lift just raises the body on the frame. You don't gain any ground clearance, so if you're going to go offroad, it won't help you any. Suspension lifts are the only way to go. Stick with around a 3-4 suspension lift and 32-33 tires on that truck and it will go 95% of the places you would want it to go...before breaking and needing a jeep to tow you out.
