Q:In a hydraulic lift, the radii of the pistons are 2.02 cm and 9.6 cm. A car weighing W 11.5 kN is to be lifted by the force of the large piston. (a) What force Fa must be applied to the small piston?answer in N(b) When the small piston is pushed in by 9.8 cm, how far is the car lifted?answer in mmplease help me out i dont get it.it would be greatly appreciated if anyone can answer this for me thanks :)(c) Find the mechanical advantage of the lift, which is the ratio W / Fa.
You can BUT I really do NOT suggest it. there is different technologies and grips and etc. involved that is different and special for each and every sport
Q:Could the Apollo Astronauts have picked up their lunar car?
The Lunar Roving Vehicle had a mass of 463 lb (210 kg), which at 1/6 lunar gravity would weigh 77 pounds. So I think the astronauts could have lifted it off the ground, although it would probably take both of them not only due to it's clumsy to lift shape but also because of their heavy space suits weighing them down and restricting their mobility.
Q:ive just had my brake pads changed all round and this clicking/knocking noise happend becase my car was lifted up, i no this because i lifted the car up to get under to do some work and its back please help!!!!!
lifting shouldnt have anything to do with the clicking should check brakes maybe they left something loose
Q:will they rub or do i have to lift the car
Personal preference. When you are at a stop, there is no reason to have your foot on the brake pedal.
Q:Is it just there to make it look aggressive and lowered? Is it because it looks good, different body kit styles. Is it to prevent scratching the bumper? It seems like having a lip would make it scratch even more cuz adding another accessory towards the bottom of the car.
Lipbetter aerodynamics and more downforce for the race track.
Q:To me the car sits a little too low to the ground. The car has gas shocks(never heard of them). So how would I be able to get my car lifted at least an inch? And what all will I need to purchase?
the gas shocks are only for performance wise, to differ the height of your ride, you will need to either purchase or modify the springs
Q:I have a 1992 Cadillac fleetwood and I need to pit in the spare. But it has no Jack. Can I use my moms Jack to lift my car? She has a 07‘ Toyota solara if it matters. Thanks. Its an emergency! !
Well I dont know anything about how rusty your car is, or what kind of jack she has. But here in the uk most jacks that i have come across are usable on any car, subject to obvious weight limitations - you. Wouldnt want to use a little car jack on a big lorry. But the fact that you are asking the question makes me think maybe you should leave the job to the experts. If the jack slips serious injury can result, so make sure it is safe and that passing traffic is not a hazard.
Q:as a male supposing she saw you and you were a decent looking male and she was hot and she stopped her car to ask for directions than offered you a lift to somewhere would you hop in with her in a dark road with few people and houses
Yes, because I'm fairly sure that she wouldn't be that strong(if she was, she wouldn't be considered attractive; male humans apparently don't particularly like muscles in women. It makes them look far too masculine.), so I would be perfectly capable of overpowering her if she tried anything, and if she whipped out a knife, I could just whip out a gun. So I suppose I'd have every eventuality covered.
Q:Toyota? Here are my observations: I do not like that thing at all. The scissor jack on my GS 430 with the U grove does not even come in contact with the pinch weld. It meets the side molding/running board (Rocker Panels) and on the other side it hits the soft bonding material. I can see that damaging both sides until the jack makes contact with the pinch weld. Anyone see smashing or denting using this jack? Especially on the front which it will hit the running board/molding Rocker Panels?2)Using a floor jack: one with a small cup.Has anyone seen a pinch weld fail or fold over? Lexus’ pinch weld sure look flimsy compared to other cars I have owned. Anyone use lift blocks or hockey pucks between the jack and the pinch weld? I stopped by Discount Tire and asked them how they would lift the car ; they would use the pinch weld and block pads. That would put the entire load on the pinch weld. were do you get those pads? Is it safe to use the floor jack directly on the PW? Tha
If careful, you can lift the car buy the pinch weld. Check your owners manual for proper lift points.
