Q: alright so I have an image I would like to make into a hook rug but I can't just do it myself by looking at the photo, I need the image printed onto the hook rug base, is there anyway to have that done? can I copy the image onto the hook rug base?
There's an old low-tech technique for copying things like this that's been used for many years. Make a photocopy of your original. Draw a grid over it, using a ruler and being very precise. Or, photocopy your image onto grid paper. Draw a grid on your rug base -- yes, use a ruler and be very precise. Make sure the grid on your rug base has the same number of squares as the grid on your aper. They will be different-size squares, of course, but make sure there are the same nuber of squares. Now, carefully copy the contents of each grid square from the paper to the rug base. Turn the whole thing (yep, both the paper and the rug base) upside-down and work that way if you have trouble copying it right-side-up. You will find it much easier to copy one square at a time, and you'll have an excellent pattern for your rug. Have fun!
Q: Does anyone know if disposable kitchen rugs are made and sold anywhere? I would like to have a bunch of fairly good quality rugs in the closet and change then out whenever needed. Just pick u[p the dirty one and throw it away. Any ideas?
I have never seen a rug of any kind that is intended to be disposable. You can, of course, throw any rug away, if you don't mind the expense of buying new rugs all the time.
Q: my carpet color right now is gray, and i wanna change it to red. i was figuring maybe i can bleach it first and let that dry before i go with my final color. do you think this'll work?
painting carpet sucks man... look good for a lil while then your feet hit it and paint fades awayvery quickley.. go to OKorder a jdm red carpet kit is only 150$. and would look and smell alot better..
Q: i have 5 rugs and they are pretty grubby now, can i wash them in the washing machinegt;?
considering is dyed pink dry-cleansing is the terrific cleansing technique to maintain the colour long term. you ought to bathe the sheepskin with the exceptional sheepskin woolskin wash yet a number of the dye shade will run out interior the rinse water. Salt is a organic dye fixative so i exploit salt interior the staggering rinse water to cut back dye run. do not use a common woolwash, that's not suitable for the leather-based. A sheepskin carding brush is large to brush out knots before and once you wash a sheepskin rug to ward off matting.
Q: I've just bought a 15.2hh Welsh Section D! :) He's my first horse and he didn't come with any rugs, so I need to buy them all! He'll be stabled at night and out during the day.I plan to buy: two fleeces, a show fleece, a medium weight stable rug, a lightweight turnout and a mediumweight turnout rug. Will he be warm enough?
You'll need to measure him, from the centre of the breast along the side of the horse to the point of buttock It is better and more comfortable for the horse if the rug is a bit too big rather than too small. My friend has a horse similar to yours and she gets 6'3 rugs, you could try around that size, maybe even a 6'0? If you live in the UK and get a lot of snow at winter in your area, you will probably want heavyweight rugs too :)
Q: The toilet overflowed the whole bathroom, and it left a huge puddle in the hallway. The carpet is completely soaked. It's clean water though, it's been doing this for days now, but we've been catching it before it reached the carpet. We have a shampooer that is currently sucking up the water, but I need more than that. Also, taking up the carpet from the ground is not an option. One more thing- any good ways to clean it once it gets dry?
Unless your shampooer is a professional unit, it will leave most of the water in the carpet. A professional unit has around 200 inches of lift, whereas a non-commercial unit will have around 25 of lift. Your other concern will the padding that is under the carpeting. Unless you pull up the carpeting/padding, the water will remain. If the water remains, you will encounter mold/mildew within 72 hours. It's important to get it up and get it dry!...After the carpet is up, padding is removed and water is removed, you need to use a high volume blower to complete the drying process. These blowers can be rented at equipment rental yards.
Q: my carpet is tan/bash and i already tried carpet and upholstery cleaner which seems to have gotten out most of the color. however it's still a little sticky!! it's a brand new carpet and my grandma is going to kill me!!!PLEASE HELP!!
soak the damage parts in lukewarm water. scrub lightly with laundry soap, leave the soaps and suds on and put the carpet under the sun leave it for like 2-3hours. soak it again on water, rinse the carpet. *soaking and drying while soapy makes stains evaporate with hot air.
Q: I use throw rugs in high traffic areas to save the carpet but I am forever having to reposition them. Each step moves them just slightly and at the end of the day, they're out of position.
Double-Sided Carpet Tape
Q: My wife and I have a 5' X 7' area rug which we want to dye brown. It's a deep pile wool rug and the fibers are dense. How does one go about this? We would have it done professionally but there are no skilled people where we live. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
you'll okorder . honestly though i'd get a small bottle and test a corner before investing in a whole rug, cause the chemicals to do dark colors like this can get seriously expensive since it can take two or three dips to do it. good luck!
Q: I need a good turnout rug for my delightful stallion as he manages to break every rug I put on him, wether it being ripping off a belly strap (which I don't know how he does because he is in a field with post and electric fence, so there is no barbed wire or anything for him to tear it on) or he breaks the clips on the leg straps, then the rug slides. I need a proper turnout rug, with a bit of quilting for winter, not just a thin sheet. It obviously needs to be fairly sturdy and hardy but because of the number of rugs I have already bought him, then I can't afford to spend a fortune on it. if it was under ?30 that would be great, but absolutly nothing over ?40.So does anybody know any good brands or can find me links to good ones? Thanks in advance
I always use weatherbeeta but Robinsons UK have a range which is good value called the Requisite range, could be good?
