Q: if i use oxyclean and water in my floor scrubber for a cleaner to do my whole carpets will it work nice?
I use oxyclean in my residential grade carpet steamer all the time and I haven't noticed any negative effects. I add about half the carpet soap that the instructions say to use and use about a tablespoon of oxyclean. Make sure to use really hot water and shake the water holder around to dissolve all the oxyclean before you put it in the machine. The reason its OK to use oxyclean is that any residue left behind won't be sticky and attract dirt like soap products would. That being said make sure to test out the oxyclean on a hidden corner of the carpet first, just brush in a small spot to make sure nothing bad happens.
Q: i want to make a rug/mat for door way floor using 3 Colors but wouldn't have a clue how. what im asking u is what craft is used for example knitting or cross stitching thanks in advance
well i would kind of cut fabric length wise and braid the 3 different colors like a pigtail. and connect them together side by side to make it long or square or you can be creative and braid 3 of the same color separate and connect them side by side or even in an oval. i could be wrong but hopefully it will give you an idea of what you want to do. it depends on what material you wish to use also. good luck!
Q: I have look at the Iranian hand made carpets and i have look at the Turkey carpets ...i like better the turkey ones and i know know that they are the best in the world,,now can someone pls. tell me in which city in turkey they are made?????????
they're greater often than not made in center Anatolia or eastern area of Turkey in the villages. it particularly is conceivable to purchase them from those section or from the branch shops in Istanbul with a 10 situations greater value.
Q: I have a large stubborn stain on my carpet, I have used many carpet cleaning solution but this just seems to make is dirtier when it is dry. Any suggestions on how I can do this without spending too much money
I okorder to locate a pro near you. Ask for an estimate. There are no short cuts available or a magic wand to solve this problem. call a pro.
Q: I am going to get new carpet and a friend told me to get berber because it wears better.Does it?Is it more expensive than a good plush carpet?
Berber shows wear less quickly than a plush of the same quality. A really cheap berber will not hold up as well as a high-quality plush carpet, though.
Q: my carpet it is filthy. it has smelled since the day i moved in a month ago and the bottom of my feet are gray after walking on it. the apartment managers refuse to change it and have told me i can break the lease but i would be penalized. who do i contact to have my carpets tested or confirm that they're not up to standards??
The big question that comes to mind is why did you move in? If the place was filthy when you rented, then filthy is what you are paying for. You don't move into a low rent place and then tell them they have to fix it up to your standards. What you do is move into a nicer place and pay more rent. And get some Odoban from Sam's and now I see they have it at Walmart. Shampoo the rugs with it. It sanitizes and removes odors and will help and is remarkably cheap for how much it does. If it stinks, there is a need for the third cleaning. You just have to clean it with the right stuff and equipment. Your last solution is nose plugs and shoes.
Q: We have our carpet cleaned once a year and after 6 months all the stains are back. A carpet cleaner told me if it was cleaned properly the stains wouldn't return. My carpet is a type of berber, but not the good berber. I have always used steam cleaning. My question is would a chem clean be better. Another carpet place told me probably the stains were down in the pad. Is there a cleaning that would go deep into the pad otherwise I am faced with getting 1200 yards of new carpet. You imput would be greatly appreciated.
The best carpet for cleaning is nylon. Most inexpensive berber is made from Olefin, which by it nature is very difficult to clean. Olefin is an oil derivative and once anything greasy goes down it kind of binds to the carpet. As to why the stain reappears, the answers that you have gotten are correct. All carpet cleaning methods only clean the fibers of the carpet not the base. Once it is cleaned it looks clean only to have whatever is down there wick right back to the surface. There is no system that cleans the pad or the backing unfortunately. There are some powders that once placed on the carpet will pull the stain to the surface for better cleaning, but it is a very time consuming expensive process and probably not worth the trouble. The only thing that I can recommend is to make sure when you do have your carpets cleaned that they are using truck mounted steam cleaning. That is the most powerful method in the business and if anything has a chance of sucking up the dirt that is it - Good Luck!
Q: does buring carpet give off any toxic thing that i realy should be worried aobut
Burning carpet and just about any burning material puts off deadly poisonious gases. If caught in a building they may disorient you to the point that you can not escape and you will die.
Q: If you had a house with wood flooring what furniture would you put rugs under ?
Rugs serve two purposes: décor and comfort under foot. In a dining area, an area rug should be big enough so that when the chairs are pulled out, they are always on the surface of the rug. It is a general rule that you should leave about 24 of floor space from the wall when figuring the room size rug. This allows for a buffet or a hutch to be placed against the wall, on the floor, not on the rug. I use a rug runner in my front entry-way, instead of a door mat. I have also used rug runners in a hallway and alongside my bed or in front of my dresser as well as my kitchen sink. Runners are versatile. You can add a pop of color to a room with an area rug that fills in floor space around and under a coffee table. Rugs need not be huge, but can be. Rugs can be used to define an area in a large room. Say you have an open concept great room. You can use more than one area rug to define specific areas. Area rugs are often used in high foot traffic spaces to protect the flooring, especially under dining sets where chairs are constantly in motion. Area rugs will last a good long time if you keep them vacuumed and take the time and energy to rotate the rugs at least once a year, so possible sun fading will not be noticeable.
Q: ok so what is a Waffle Weave Rug ?
It's a type of cooler which is weaved in such a way that it has squares in the material. They are used to help cool the horse down and wick sweat away. Personally I prefere a fleece cooler.
