Q: I got a flat woven rug and it keeps getting caught in my door. It drives me nuts. I just want to cut an arc out of it for my door. Is there a way to go about that?: Probably hard to do if you're talking about an area rug. Scissors don't usually cut through rugs very well, even very good scissors. A utility knife doesn't do it very well either. And whatever you cut it with, the cut edges are going to fray. Better to move that rug back a bit and get something flatter for just inside the door.

Q: I dropped small spots of bleach on my carpet. Does anyone know where I can purchase dye for carpet?: The best way to remove small bleached spots from carpet is to use a magic marker. Take a small piece of the carpet to a craft or art store and match up several markers. Start with a lighter color. It is better to error on the light side than on the dark side. I have seen carpet mills use this to correct defective carpet patterns.

Q: i have looked around and nobody seems to be selling white carpet...yeah i know it's gonna get dirty and no i dont want a white area rug i want white carpet. I live in florida near tampa. Any help would be nice!!: Have you asked the carpet stores that you were already to if they could order the white carpet for you? I wouldn't think that should be a big deal at all. A lot of carpet stores may not have all colors of carpeting available on sight. They should have plenty of samples for you to look at and you choose the one you want. If you don't see it in the store, that doesn't mean they can't order it for you. There shouldn't be an extra charge for ordering the carpet you want.

Q: what is a jewelled rug?: i think you may be talking about a jewel toned rug. jewel tone colors are bright, deep, and saturated, jewel tones in red, blue, purple, green and yellow can add graphic punch to any room. go to the target website and search for jewel tone rugs. they have a pic of one. hope this helps!

Q: Besides renting a rug doctor or other carpet machine: I'm not sure if it works on carpet but I do know it works on fabric--try this , it can't hurt--on fabric water removes water stains by this process : use a very damp rag to feather the edge of the stain working from the center out , then dry from outer edge towards center while continuing to use a dryer rag to feather edge.On fabric you would use a warm iron however on a carpet I would try a hair dryer to avoid shine marks on the carpet.

They make them to use on carpet as well as on tile. They are relatively inexpensive, can be cut to size, and work really well. Check at a carpet store.

Q: I have heard that cleaning a carpet with a quot;carpet cleanerquot; can actually harm the carpet. How do I clean my carpet, which is brand new, without harming it? I heard you have to put scotch guard or something on it.....idk please help! Thanks!: Steam clean it. Buy one, rent one or hire a professional. They are perfectly fine on carpets. I have my own steam cleaner and it's gets used constantly. Don't waste your money on scotch guard products. They are surface only and once you wipe up a spill or clean the carpet, the scotch guard is gone. Probably one of the most over rated products on the market. The main things that harm carpet are not cleaning regularly, not vacuuming regularly or choosing the wrong carpet pad.
